Hireup is an NDIS registered online platform for people with disability to find, hire and manage support workers who fit their needs and share their interests.
Hireup is better suited to those in major cities. In our small rural location it has only served as a post NDIS conduit for the payment of our already chosen Worker. Some of the necessary overheads of a larger enterprise justify the Hireup pricing structure. We have recently discovered a local provider who will give a personalised program & goals unable to happen with the remote Hireup arrangement. When contacted in the past, Hireup has always been helpful & we wish them continued success.
I love the simplicity of booking our support worker and the flexibility of the hire up service. You can change days and times as the need arises. Payment is simple and communication is excellent.

I could not be more pleased with the 1 Support Worker I have employed through your organization. She is punctual, kind, considerate and enthusiastic. She has blossomed as a worker and person, having gained experience, new skills and confidence. I would highly recommend her, and willingly provide glowing references, should she request them. Hireup has made it seamless for her to receive remuneration for her shifts and for the money to be taken from my NDIS funding.
The 59 Year Old New Boy As a new boy, I'm not sure how helpful my review will be, but, here goes: So far, so good. In fact, I am really enjoying this new period in my life; pursuing a career that is all about helping people. And HireUp is making the various processes easy to navigate whilst training me and making me feel (and believe) I am an important part of Australia's Special Needs Community. That's the good stuff in a nutshell. But I do have one tiny issue with the website. I'm finding my searches for more work are a tad confusing. It's OK though, because right now I'm focussing on my one and only client and that's enough to ease me into my new career. However, when the time comes to search for more work, I'm not sure if the information provided by the website is accurate. That is, some of the people in the search have a tick to indicate they are looking for support when they actually aren't. But, as I say, that's OK for now, it just may become a little difficult down the track - when and if I'm looking for more clients. There is one other aspect of the website that I believe could be improved. In the 'support offered' section of my profile, I would like to offer 'in home care' except I am not yet ready to help with showering and toileting. It seems to me that those rather difficult duties are covered in 'personal care' and don't need to be covered twice. I hope that helps! Cheers, Scott.t.

Great service. A wide pool of SWs and I never have trouble getting responses to my job ads. Easy booking, easy verifying so that I don't have to deal with vetting workers myself. It's great that Hire Up takes care of the staff legalities, like taxes, insurance etc....less of a burden and time user for myself. Billing is fast and efficient and Hire Up also does not charge the maximum NDIS rate. Will continue to use them for as long as we are on NDIS. Highly recommended.
Hireup communicate very well responding to my enquiries in a prompt manner. They provide online training so you can do it at a time that suits you. Payments due are paid on time so no time lost chasing late payments all in all a good employer.

We, as support workers, love what we do! We also love to work for the goals that we have for supporting our families and it is our right to choose whether or not to work with a client based on the pay rate set by the client. Office staff can rely on support workers to be working for the love of the job and not the money, should we make an enquiry regarding our rate of pay. The support I have had from the Hireup team has been professional and helpful!!
Hireup seems to be better than other agencies that I have had experience with. Hireup is simple and seems to flow smoothly. A couple of areas of concern and improvements are: 1. Accountability - Many client support plans are lacking information. Especially past medical history, allergies and current conditions. It is hard to be informed of care when there is little information and you only find out from the patient in person further down the track. Perhaps Hireup should assign case managers who gather all this information and assist in setting up the online profile. Minimum requirements should be determined such as past medical history, allergies and current support needs (in detail). These should be made available for any support worker to see on their profile. Other minimum requirements should be made available to the support worker once they have made a booking such as how one should get in the house, contact number, address, where to park. It's more time-efficient and informative if the information is made available without the need to ask the client for all this extra information because their profile is lacking. Just makes the support workers feel more prepared, know what to expect and informed in decision making. 2. No Andriod user app - There is a Hireup app made for iOS but not for Android? While Hireup has mentioned that they are currently making an Android app, it is very silly of them to have release once version. It's not very hard to convert or make both versions. Hopefully, this is fixed soon enough. These have been the two most striking concerns with Hireup. As previously mentioned Hireup, in my experience, has been better than other agencies for both support workers and clients. I would definitely recommend giving Hireup a go if one is either finding work or seeking care.
We are new to Hireup and we love it already. My son is 12 and has autism. What I really need for him is to build relationships and communication with others. Our 2 support workers are both fantastic. They take him out to get exercise and hang out and play games with him. In only a few weeks, he is eager to see them both and I couldn't be happier with the system or the freedom it allows.
Hireup is pretty good but it needs a section where you can write shift notes for squality and safe-guarding.
Very prompt response when getting support worker activated onto on your site and answering later query on invoice.
It's so good to be able to have the ability to find someone that's perfect for the job, deal directly with them and cut out the middle man. A few improvements could be made in refining searches for the type of support worker you're looking for eg. Requirements, availability, interests and the work they're willing to do.
Very user friendly for all parties.

Aug 30,2020I have found Hireup to be a great way to find and connect with people and families that are looking for support. The website is user friendly - so easy to navigate and I love all the updates and training opportunities that pop up from time to time. I'm keen to be able to access an app for my android phone, but the short cut to the website is working just fine for now. The system works so well, from the initial booking, through to submission, confirmation and then payment. And so easy to do all of this on the website. During the time that I was completing my initial profile and submission to become a support worker, I found the staff very helpful and responsive when I had questions or needed clarification on what was needed from me. I recommend Hireup to anyone looking to become a support worker.
