You made it seem as if I were talking directly to the hotel when in reality you are a third party. I called the hotels real front desk to cancel and was informed that I needed to cancel thru your company and I didn’t get a full refund. I will be disputing the charges with my credit card company.

Had a lovely stay in Cape Town with the Mrs, booked all through Hotel Planner, amazing service as always, the lady I spoke too was asking about what I wanted to do there, recommending things for me, it was a lovely experience, thank you.
Update to this review. I have received a full refund and this issue is resolved. It did take much longer than it should have therefore am giving 4 stars. Thank you Melanie @ Hotel Planner for looking into this issue. I was lied to and I am extremely upset and have been cheated out of over 500 dollars! I made a reservation for two rooms one nights at the Hilton Garden Inn in Pittsburgh on November 19-20. Because of unforeseen circumstances our party is unavoidably able to attend that date. This was a non-refundable reservation, however, I was totally unaware that I was not talking to the hotel itself when I made this reservation or I would have never continued to book. The agent never identified this call was going through Hotel Planner and not directly through the hotel itself or that it was going to be booked through a third party. I contacted the Hilton Garden Inn hotel General Manager and got approval for cancellation and a full refund for this date. The Manager was then contacted by Hotel Planner and he approved the cancellation and full refund while I was waiting on the phone. I was never told by the agent that a voucher would be the manner of refund. I was issued a voucher for half the amount to be used before the second half was to be released. On October 20th I called the agent and declined the voucher and asked for a refund on my credit card. I did state that if I do make a reservation I will not be using Hotel Planner again in the future and would call a hotel directly to make any reservation. I was told that this request would be sent to the “team” for review and it would take 2-10 days. We are way past that mark and I still have yet to get an answer from the “team” as to the status of this refund. Also, I have reached out three separate times and was lied to twice that a ticket was being generated and I would receive a text or email with all the information regarding the refund. I only received one text which I replied to and never received a response. At one point I asked to speak to a manager and was told someone would call me back in 24 hours. Gues what? No call!!! I am being given the run around and lied to regarding this issue which is totally unacceptable. I have to repay my other party members as we are not rescheduling this trip and cannot use a voucher to do this. Make sure you know who exactly you are talking to before booking a reservation. I want the full refund I am entitled to.
If that was good to work with somebody that knows their job. Answering the questions that is concerning and getting quick answers and getting quick reservations is an ideal perfect experience.
