Cancelled reservation via hotel and expected a refund on credit card asap (like the hotel normally does). When the charges were not refunded I called hotel again and apparently I called and made resevations via some third party (800 497 2175 is the support number). I called THREE times and each time was assured of a full refund. The charges of over $300. is still on my credit card statement. I have tried calling the above # numerous times this morning and the automated number refuses to allow me to talk to a person. Even when I say "cancel" etc. It just keeps repeating the options. REFUND REQUEST: Based on misrepresentation. This service deserves a zero rating. I called to book a reservation at a hotel in Bonita springs. I asked if this was the actual hotel and was told yes. I asked about cancellation policy and was told 24 hours. After I paid a ridiculous rate they sent me an email and they charged me a 73:00 cancellation fee with criteria attached which states if you cancel they need copies of your medical records if itâs related to health issue. I immediately called back. Again I asked if this was the actual hotel and they said yes. I was unable to cancel with refund d ten minutes after initial call. I found a different number for hotel and it turns out I made reservation with a third party which I never do. Five separate times I called and employees All tell me I am calling Hampton inn. I am not. They are misleading the public. Iâve been trying to resolve this matter and there is no management team or resolution team. I keep getting the reservation staff. The staff doesnât even seem to know who they work for. The actual Hampton inn Hotel has no idea who they are and told me they do not work for them. This is the very reason why I never do business with these types of agencies. Beware. This review is for the third party company not against Hampton inn for which I have no complaints. Hotel planner cannot hold you to a reservation made under false pretenses. The BBB has 77 pages of similar complaints. Unbelievable! UPDATE: 1.5 weeks still no resolution of my complaint despite me making several phone calls, 2 emails to Melanie Planelles without response. They did make 3 attempts to contact me today but hung up the phone after only 1-3 rings. No messages were left. When I call customer service I get the runaround continuously. I do not believe there is a management team or resolution team. Please know this company also operates booking.com and several other reservation lines. I would like a full refund. Plus when they book the reservation they email you an itinerary and do not include pricing on the email and then they emailed me a separate email regarding the refund charges. I do not know how to get in touch with anyone who actually knows what to do, hence I've continued with bad reviews.

After cancelling way in advance my first hotel reservation.Booked for a Wedding in May. I asked if there is a closer hotel with 2 beds.As I am from California and not familiar with Illinois. I was informed there was. I was sent a cancellation only showing 1/2 of my 2 day stay fee to be put back on credit card. I also got a Hotel reservation within 10 min. My understanding is that âNo cancellation feesâ I informed my bank of the situation! I was not told that half is returned and the situation is going before a committee for review.? I ended up calling back the reservation department told another gentleman of my concern he reassured me this is normal procedure. I will be getting a full refund. He understood I wasnât informed correctly. Hopefully my new reservation will go without a hitch and Iâll be refunded the 2nd half of my initial hotel reservation promptly. My initial reservation was done over phone directly with hotel desk! Not sure if this matters.
Due to illness we had to change the date of our reservation. We called the hotel about a month in advance of needing to change the date when we should have coordinated with Hotelplanner.com. We were charged $$ by Hotelplanner.com and by the hotel, resulting in a double payment. When we called hotel.com to request a refund we were told that in three to ten business days, our money would be returned to our credit card. To date (January 28) we have not received our refund, despite calling five times and each time being told that our $$ would be refunded within three to ten business days. We are very discouraged about this. Hotelplanner.com should return our $$ consistent with the promises made by staff on five occasions.
My original reservation was for tonight instead of the correct date. I immediately called back and Karlo got it changed.
I would give a negative 10 if it would allow me. Agent misled and did not disclose they were a call center from Hotel Planner for expedia and NOT the hotel directly. I was trying to book rooms under a wedding block of rooms that were set at discounted rate. Agent (her name was Allanie) said that the rooms under that wedding code went up (the block was just set up an hour before I called and I told her that made no sense) and instead of $139 per night with wedding discount she said they were $379 night and that it was good I called because there were only 2 rooms left for that night and I needed the two rooms for my family. She also told me I had up to 24 hrs prior to my date of checkin to cancel with full refund. Cancellation AFTER 6 pm day prior to checkin date would be subject to 30% fee. So I booked the two rooms to hold knowing that I would speak with my family about getting the correct rates and could cancel up to 24 hrs before checkin. Spoke with my family and they confirmed that this was all NOT true and rate they signed contract for was $139 and they spoke with hotel and there were plenty of rooms still available! Called back the line I made my reservations with to cancel. The new Agent cancelled for me but when he read cancellation policy he said I was mislead by other agent and that any cancellation prior to day before subject to 30% of total cost of my two rooms and now it needs to go to escalations. The 2nd agent cancelled my reservations and opened up a ticket with escalations. This has been a hassle and totally UNETHICAL that the first agent did not disclose who they were. I was made to beleive I was speaking with hotel directly, she even repeated my wedding rate code for the room block!

The gentleman that helped me was amazing and the best customer service that I have had in many years. Unfortunately, I did not write down his name and I wish I would have. He was the perfect example of how customer service should be! I truly hope that his name is linked to my reservation so that he can be recognized for his OUTSTANDING customer service!
Patrick was nice and quick to respond. Itâs not his fault the price was $313 but I could have booked online for $170. Needless to say I did not book.

This gentleman did a great job. He helped me. The rest just bounced me to ur automated service desk which could nothing. It asked for an itinerary number and all I had was the confirmation number. Your automated system is not useful.
I was not clear was Expedia. It looked like a Hampton website. We paid $215 more than we should have paid for a three night stay!
Changed reservation by one day and paid more. Havenât heard back about refund. No revenue was lost. Actually were paid more!!!
