My wife is really keen to purchase a Kia but every time I take her there just to look there is so much pressure to test drive, buy this, look at that, it is now getting more difficult to get here to dealer. Why can't customers just be left to look around without being followed every where by a salesperson

Wanted to purchase a new or nearly new low mileage car with key features - automatic, large boot for 2 sets of golf clubs and electric trolleys, reversing camera, electric assisted car boot (priority in that order) - willing to compromise on some items. Either Diesel, Petrol or hybrid. Price £35K new £22-£27K low mileage (latter preferred). Visited a number of showrooms looking at all available options. The best sales person was Jack Dennehy. The garage was a Vauxhall sales room in Taunton but he found me another car within the Howards group that more closely matched my requirements. He went the extra mile and was brilliant. I purchased the car with no hassle and gave me a good introduction to the vehicle at handover. Excellent service.

I have just collected my Suzuki Ignis 1.2 Dualjet 12V Hybrid SZ-T from Howards after its 'FREE' 2 month/2000 mile 1st Service. I was served at reception, when I delivered and collected the car, by Thomas Holloway. When I returned to collect the car I was kept waiting for approx. 15 minutes which I found annoying especially as there weren't any other customers being served. I was then presented with a Bill for £170.00 +/-! When I pointed out that the service was a free service Thomas's attitude seemed to change. I suggested that Tracks, (Previous Suzuki Dealers in Taunton), had a poor reputation for customer service and that Howards was no better! I also had to point out, for the second time, that my Suzuki Service Record and Warrant Booklet had not been completed correctly. I will be returning to have the correct information amended. Follow up:- After visiting Howards Suzuki this morning and discussing everything with George Smirk, sales, I have now received a NEW Suzuki Service Record and Warrant Booklet, properly completed with correct service record etc. I have also had an in-depth amicable discussion with Daniel McGuinness, Service Manager, who listened to everything I had had a grievance about the previous day. In view of this I am increasing my experience from one star to four stars and hope that Howards Motor Group have found my criticisms and observations have been constructive. I was pleased that Daniel took the time to listen to my concerns face to face. This has gone a long way to restoring my confidence with Howards.

having bought my 2008 from Howards, I have always used them for service and now MOT's. At all times they have been efficient, helpful, friendly and courteous. I have just had a major service carried out and received my car back in fantastic condition having been washed and vacuumed. I am looking to change my 2019 model for a more up-to-date version and I shall certainly be using them again.

I am appalled at the level of customer service by Howard’s Taunton Peugeot. My 2020 plate car I bought in April 2023. The lighting unit was having issues with condensation I was told that warranty will cover it and to bring it in for repair. Upon collection of the repair I was told warranty have declined this and instead they have drilled “ventilation holes” in the uni to help. Since then condensation has become worse and the unit is now leaking water and water is pooling within the light. This issue has been going on for 9months and continually hitting a brick wall with my local dealer saying it’s not under warranty despite telling me upon pick up last week it was faulty and I need to replace the housing unit. When I told them it was indeed under warranty they suddenly changed their minds to “oh well warranty won’t cover it” despite telling me it was faulty. I have since explained the situation to another Peugeot dealer where I bought the car from , they have said that as the ventilation holes didn’t solve the issue and actually made it worse then Howard’s should fix the lighting unit anyway. Please explain how lighting unit housing leaks is not under warranty and last year when it was under the 3year standard warranty why it was still not repaired correctly when I raised the issues in April and how the ventilation holes have now meant the whole housing is constant water droplets and pooling inside.

Booked a test drive in a Peugeot 3008 with Howard’s Taunton for 11.30 couldn’t find them (we are not local) so my wife phoned them and spoke to Charlie the chap who was dealing with us he was helpful enough. We eventually found them and made contact with Charlie, 1 minute in we were told the car had been sold to people on the opposite desk. They had filled in the finance paperwork, we were cash buyers so because they get more money selling finance they sold it to the other people! Absolutely out of order, a crap way to treat customers. Underhanded, no way to treat cash buyers! We have been using our local Howard’s for absolute years for repairs and servicing on our other Peugeots and spent a fortune with them, disgusting behaviour and totally let down and angry

Buying a new car can be a very daunting experience but on meeting Bradley Bailey I knew that I would be treated with courtesy and respect. He was professional, knowledgeable and patient and kept me updated by text, phone calls, emails and videos. I know I can rely on Howards Citroen Taunton for any support I may need in the future.

No hesitation in giving 5 stars. Jack & Shaun were extremely helpful. Jack was brilliant with the paperwork, setting up my new Corsa and explaining, with a video, how everything works. Excellent customer service.

I traded in my old car for a newer one. The salesperson was very helpful and unobtrusive. On the day of collection everything was ready, all data reset to factory and the fuel topped up. Charlie handled all dealings with DVLA.

I'd like to say a big thank you to Rhys Bebb on the Service desk, What a fantastic Chap very professional in organising my van servicing and mot's and any other issues I had with my van, he keeps me informed on any issues arising and helps out where possible, he is a credit to your company, And thanks for the coffee's while I'm waiting to be seen.

I was due to have a new car on my plan and previously had an appointment to see Jordan and ended up seeing Chris instead who was most welcoming, friendly and attentive. He understood my needs perfectly and bent over backwards so that I could have the car I wanted and went beyond measures to give me a good finance and great customer satisfaction. Chris John is very understanding of his client and knows his product extremely well. I would highly recommend him for any sales. I have been a loyal customer to Howards Toyota WSM for many years and remained with them even when I moved to Oxford because my experience with them has always been second to none.
