Aug 19,2020We are so grateful we had the most perfect magical wedding in Sorrento, Italy at the beginning of August. All of the staff were fantastic from the start to finish, and even in the days following our wedding. Maria was our wonderful wedding coordinator based in the UK, and was constantly on hand happy to answer any queries or question we had. Always fast responses to emails. No request was too big or too small. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of planning our wedding. Even through the stress of the global pandemic, as Maria was quick to update us on any changes. Viola was our wedding coordinator in Sorrento, she was absolutely fantastic in the days leading up to the wedding, and her attention to detail is second to none. She took all the stress and worries out of the day and meant we could both relax and enjoy the day knowing she had everything under control. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Our friends and family who attended said they had never been to a wedding quite so beautiful, well organised and relaxed. Our ceremony took place at the Cloisters in Sorrento, the most beautiful setting, followed by a meal at O Parrucchiano La Favorita, in the stunning lemon garden. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was amazing. We then took a short walk to the foreigners club, where we were well looked after until the early hours of the morning. All of the suppliers were brilliant from the lemon cart to the amazing creative photographer, videographer, to beautician and hair dresser. We really couldn’t have asked for more and we can’t thank Maria, Viola and the team enough.

The way she conducted herself and explained everything and her attention to details and recommendations was amazing. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends. Top Class excellence from Pat which has made the experience stress free.

Jul 29,2020My wedding is booked for June 2022 in Rhodes, which we booked with Ionian in January this year. I have been assisted by Cassi since day one, who has been absolutely incredible! She took a lot of time helping me choose the perfect venue based on our requirements, and even ensured that my sceptical Fiance was equally delighted with our choice before booking! Not once did we feel rushed into putting down the deposit. I must admit that I was slightly anxious that once I parted with the money, the 5* service would diminish but its remained consistently great. Cassi always responds to my queries on the same day and is happy to liaise with the venue in Rhodes on my behalf. I'm made to feel like a valued client and that nothing is too much of an ask. I love that I'm able to ring Cassi when I'm having a Bridezilla moment and she'll put me at ease (everyone else is sick of the wedding talk already lol). I will write another review after the wedding, but for now I highly recommend Ionian Weddings. This company provides a consultative approach that you just won't find on the high street!

Jul 25,2020I have never been more disappointed in a company. They took a deposit of 24% of our wedding proposal cost, of which they never put the correct proposal on the portal. I had to cancel our wedding because my mum is in the shielding category and so would not fly to a foreign country and as a primary school teacher, I was no longer able to go during term time due to the amount of school people have had off. I explained my circumstances and they are refusing to refund any money. They have been poor in their communication and left me weeks with no response. They are telling me that £2390 has been spent already. I gave over a years notice. I am so sad and disappointed. For a company who seem to be doing extremely well, I cannot believe that you can’t even refund a small proportion of what you took.

Jun 20,2020We would like to leave some feedback for Maria at Ionian Weddings. For over a year we had been planning our wedding in Sorrento, Italy for this July. Dealing with Maria has been an absolute pleasure. She is very experienced but also very pleasant, helpful and efficient and has great attention to detail. She has also been to see the venues which is so important so she speaks from actual experience. She organised a great trip over last November for us to do a menu tasting (delicious by the way!) as well as see the venues and she organised for us to meet the local wedding planner, who would be there on the day and was great and also very knowledgeable. All aspects of that trip were fantastic and we were so looking forward to the day. Unfortunately Covid 19 put a spanner in the works. This was really stressful for us as so much planning had gone into the day as well as the fact that all of our guests had already booked flights and accommodation. However, from a wedding planning perspective it could not have been easier for us. Maria could not have done enough. Without any hesitation or objection Maria and Jane (the owner) found us a new date for next year with the same venues , photographer etc. Our deposit, which we had paid for the wedding package and the photographer, were transferred to the new date without any issues. We had really left it until the last minute to postpone the wedding in the hope that Covid-19 would disappear and we are also very worried about the process of changing. We can’t thank Maria enough for all her help and reassurance and we are so looking forward to the day in July 2021. We will leave another review then to let you know how it went but with her attention to detail and warm personality we know it will be the best day ever. If you are planning a wedding abroad we would not hesitate to recommend Ionian Weddings.

May 21,2020We have been planning our wedding in Croatia (August 2020) since October last year with Ionian weddings. With the current situation as a result of Coronavirus, we made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding to 2021. Our wedding planner Maria has been nothing but helpful and supportive in this situation, we can't thank her enough and we are so excited to plan the postponed wedding with Maria next year!

Nov 21,2019We got married Saturday, 28th September 2019, in Sorrento. A huge thank you to Maria our planner in the UK and Viola in Italy for making sure our wedding was perfect from start to finish. It literally was what dreams are made of! We had the ceremony at Villa Fondi and then went back to Hotel Mediterraneo for drinks and canapés in the garden before wowing our guests at an evening reception at the hotel’s sky bar. From meeting with Viola 2 years ago in Italy to coming home the service has been 5*. I just wish we could do it all over again! If anyone is in doubt whether to use these planners go for it! Thank you so much Ionian wedding!

Nov 21,2019We had an amazing experience with Ionian weddings! The service was fantastic and we were helped from start to end with all the decisions through friendly emails and calls whenever needed! Our wedding venue was something out of a fairytale and we couldn’t believe how beautiful it was! The whole day guests were well looked after and the food and drinks were brilliant! Months on our guests are still talking about the stunning venue 😊 could not have asked for more!

Nov 20,2019We cannot recommend Ionian weddings enough! The whole process from start to finish was seamless and they were amazing. The customer service was perfect as it's a stressful time with expectations and costs they took the stress out of it. We arrived and was kept well informed and every detail was taken care of so that we could enjoy the sunshine and have the best day. I have already recommended this company to other people considering getting married abroad as the thought seems daunting but from speaking to friends and family that have married in the uk our seemed way less stressful which you wouldn't think. They all did a beautiful job and held our hand every step of the way. You have a wedding planner assigned to you that helps with every aspect.

Nov 20,2019I was very happy with the service that was provided from the initial email right through to the actually day in Italy. All proceedings were dealt with professionally but also friendly. I asked for extras and changed my bookings quiet a few times and there was never a problem. In resort my wedding planner even helped me book a surprise meal in an amazing restaurant for my husband to be.
