The most horrendous service and company in the entire uk. If you have any sense please do not buy a machine from this company and do not make the biggest mistake of your lives entering a service contract as other reviews have also done Threatening letters received regularly even though I have been told by a useless accounts manager I am owed money. They will not answer emails, calls and the person you want to speak to will ignore you. Only way to get anywhere is write a review on here or google and immediate response. Funnily enough the first thing you hear when you call this ridiculous company is we pride ourselves in customer service, really, negative reviews suggest otherwise. First time I have used them in pretty much the whole year into my service contract and a drier is now out of service for the past 4 weeks. I can also guarantee that when the work is finally done a full invoice will be charged and then another battle begins with fighting for your rights that what’s the point of a service contract then. This company was great many years ago and now so many in the laundry industry simply stay away from JLA due to their bad attitude and diabolical customer service. Please please read the reviews here and google, very very worrying as I am also in a service contract and hope they let me get out in 2023. What sort of company treats their customers with no respect during a pandemic. I will tell you...JLA You have all been warned !!! More lies from the company, I sent an email on Monday and Tuesday to resolutions@ and customerrelations@so they have received an email. Just to finish off I thought an engineer turned up this morning after this review, only to be told do you have the parts or have they been delivered.....very funny and then left. Why would you deliver parts of yours to a place which has a service contract. My customer number is 107435 NN5 5HA...seems like the place has absolutely no clue what they are doing

Handle came off machine called 10am. Fixed by 3.30pm no mess and courteous engineer.

Just don't Watch out for the contract length, like to slide an extra 5 years in there. Can't get out at all, even if you've received terrible customer service. Account issues get overlooked since they don't pay any attention to what you say. Just don't. A headache the whole time. Servicing is average.

*update, JLA asked for my details in my reply 20/10/2020, I yet again sent them an email, yet again 6days later 26/10/2020 NO REPLY!! Appears they Only reply on here to try and look good... continuous failure to customer service! Please take time to read my review, 100% Honest I live on a caravan park that hire JLA washing machine and dryer. I have had to complain to JLA several times for the damage that the washing machine has caused to my clothes. Over 6 years of using this machine, and at £7 per wash, you would think it would serve its purpose. I have sent clothes to the company that have been ruined by the washing machine, either leaking oil, or absolutely ripping my clothes. I have reported it so many times it’s beyond a joke! I get told by JLA that it is not their fault and items won’t be replaced. It is amusing that I was stood with the engineer when they came to inspect the machine, I gave him the rubber which is usually fastened to the drum for foreign objects, I informed him that since that has been missing, my clothes have been ripped and ruined, I work for the nhs and my uniforms and my kids school uniforms ruined, the engineer said “it’s just an extra accessory”, he took it away and left the washing machine as it was. The next few weeks the washing machine continued to ruin other residents clothes, aswell as my own. So once again, I email and complain and send pictures of all my ruined clothes and uniforms, to yet again be told they are not taking responsibility for damage. Within the past couple of weeks since I complained, the engineer has been back out, and replaced the said rubber to the drum, and surprise surprise, since that has been replaced my clothes haven’t been ripped or ruined!!!! So how can responsibly NOT be down to the company???

DONT BUY A JLA WASHING MACHINE THERE ARE RUBBISH AND SO IS THE SERVICE. If you must our 18 month old machine is for sale very very cheap We bought a brand new JLA washing machine for £2000 in April 2019 worked on my small caravan site until we closed for winter on 31 st Oct 2019 reopened 1st March 2021 only to close due to covid 19 on 24th March reopened 4th July. this machine has done circa 300 washes and stops half way through programme Paid circa £180 for a service and told engineer this had to pay in advance date arranged but they didn't turn up rang a week later seemed surprised no one had been but rebooked for another week later service engineer turned and assured us all good not completing cycle due to filter needing clean. Next day still would not empty engineer came back and found bearing needs changing , ten days later quote of circa £800 to repair arrives . another week later lady rings from JLA and says what did we think of quote , we told her and she then said well its not really worth mending !!! SINCE THEN we have had a phone call asking if we would like a service agreement for circa £140 per month plus the £800 to repair it and then another email telling us it due for a service. Have asked them if they would consider some kind of discount on repair as the machine has only worked 10 months and is only 18 month old but no joy. This machine is a heap of sh one t but if anyone wants a very cheap JLA washer please contact us

The service provided from your site in Alexander Barracks Pirbright is above and beyond what is expected. The team and especially the manager Mrs Kalsi cannot be more accommodating and helpful. every time I go in with problems, caused by us, she comes up with solutions that burdens her but helps us. for what seems like a thankless task I would like to thank her.

I have been a commercial customer for 5 years, when I took the contract out with JLA it was for 8 years with a 5 year break clause. I have been trying to use that break clause for over 2 months now and keep being fobbed off. Despite they returning my own emails with information around our agreement they are telling me I need to pay £33,000 to get out of this contract! Absolutely crazy. This company have not got a clue. They do services that are not due when there is no senior person on site. They book services 2 months before they are due and call at weekends talking to staff who have no authority to agree to anything. They issue certificates for servicing, duct cleaning containing information related to other customers - in fact on one occasion it took 6 months to get it right. When I took the contract out they measured the doors to our laundry ordered the machines and when they were delivered found they didn't fit through the door.....we were left with having to use an off site laundry at our own cost for weeks at a time - but don't worry they will pay you around £11 per day for this inconvenience. Even though this will cost you a lot more. I think I have been very tolerant, I am of an opinion after speaking with a number of colleagues who also have contracts with JLA that it is time for us to part company. Sadly it appears that JLA are not willing to let us go quietly and are unprofessional to the end. Rarely do I resort to this type of publicity but enough is enough. I know there is a window for the break clause which I suppose JLA are willing to ensure passes quietly but at least it is off my chest. JLA if you are reading this kindly sort this mess out-I am sure you know who we are. By the way this has nothing to do with the pandemic!

I am a Head Chef in a Care Home and was most impressed by the service we received from JLA recently, from the people in the call centre that called back and booked in the engineer visit promptly, but more impressive were the two engineers that turned up and spent approx 5 hours on site getting our dishwasher back up and running before they left after numerous problems which they resolved one by one

I was miss sold contract over phone, I was promised free fire risk assessment and my annual service certificate if I signed up. Promised it would be done in 2 weeks. Never heard from them again despite repeated calls and emails. They keep sending me invoices for service I haven’t had. Keep promising to resolve it but never do. I am now getting demands to make payment. Be very careful when signing up to this company, I could really do without the stress at the moment as I suspect could most people.

Very let down by this company. As a Care Home is it vital that we have speedy service for our Rental Washing Machines. Unfortunately this has not been the case despite many phone calls. We are on week two with no confirmation of when parts will be available and no contact even when promised.

I have been with my company for nearly 20 years and JLA is one company I can honestly say, they always do a great job. They respond to jobs quickly and their operators are friendly to talk to. JLA is a company I would recommend for any one who is looking for reliability and a job well done.

I manage a care home and had very poor service from JLA. Whilst I understood that the part needed to be ordered For our broken tumble drier I didn’t expect to still be waiting for the part nearly 4 weeks later. Everyday I called JLA and everyday I was promised a call back and everyday that call did not happen. As one can imagine it is impossible to manage in a care home for people with severe learning disabilities without a tumble drier, we were unable to take laundry anywhere else to dry due to covid 19 restrictions and infection control. I was part of the total care contract and I was stuck about what to do as no one was helping me. That was until I spoke to a lady called Georgina Pickles, she listened to my complaint, was understanding, sympathetic and kind. She was the only call handler I spoke to that kept to her word and phoned me. Not only that but everyday m she called me to update me on the things being done to sort out the tumble drier. She was professional with me in all her contact and gave me reassurance and all the information I needed. Today she has called me to say that a new drier has been arranged and I will receive a call from installs very soon. Thank you Georgina you are a credit to JLA and you made a difference today to the lives of my staff in the care home during some very difficult times. Never change your intention to do what is right by people because doing the right thing even when no one else is, is what makes you a good human. Thank you Georgina.

we have been left with 2 broken washing machines for a care home for 4 days now, with no offer of support from yourselves as to how we can deal with this situation. Trying to get contact details to speak to a manager is impossible as the front line desk staff are unable to highlight any names or contact numbers. Feel extremely let down, we are paying a large amount of money not to be put in this situation and very little support from yourselves. Extremely bad communication through out the team as when I ask for a department that the job has been escalated to, this information is not available.
