Genuinely one of the worst companies I’ve dealt with in 25+ years in business. Clueless customer service, rarely speaking to the same person twice or finding anyone able to give a straight answer to a question. Staff seem more interested in selling new equipment and tying customers into expensive contracts rather than repairing existing equipment. Response time often slow with parts slow to arrive. Interesting to see how many of the supposed 5* reviews on Trustpilot are from users with no previous reviews. I have my suspicions about how these reviews are generated. UPDATE: message received from JLA (see below) but no comment on the history on 5* reviews from Trustpilot users with no previous review history. Stopped doing business with JLA last year so it’s too late to resolve issues now- there were ample opportunities when my business was still a customer.

Month of faulty service on broken down dryer. Multiple occasions of non arrival of engineers -even though service visit was originally guaranteed within 24 hour - now extended to 48 hours. Each fix lasted at most 2 or 3 loads before machine failed or limps along at half loads at best. Constant excuses for failure to fix-conflicting ideas to problem by engineers. Customer services and sales manager tried to help and were ignored by repair department.Assurances of engineers visit were hollow promises.Either did not turn up or would call to say too busy to come out.Also we called and we were told they were too busy on the day of repair to come. Other errors made by service department , one operator even claiming that had fixed machine month ago so reason why they had not come out !! Has cost over £1400 in using local launderette in last 4 weeks since problem started.
Disgusting time wasters. We were told our contract was due to expire with JLA and they made an appointment to come out to discuss renewing. After waiting 45 minutes we tried ringing to find out if they were actually coming, they didn’t seem to have clue and said they could only email the representative to find out. After an hour and 15 minutes we got a call saying did nobody tell you the meeting was cancelled??!! And that the contract wasn’t actually running out until the following year! Completely incompetent and expensive, we certainly will not be renewing with them

Following my previous review I was contacted by JLA straight away (shame they don't respond that quick when you report your issues direct!) - was promised everything would be sorted and a full refund for all of the additional equipment I had purchased would be made - still waiting for it! Not received a penny - STAY AWAY FROM THEM
Very unprofessional company. Takes ages to communicate with them. They did not keep their promise. They sold us products but never provided good support. Sent an gas engineer to check our boilers but he did it less then 10 mins. We weren't sure how reliable their check.After he came I called them,told them that I am not satisfied with the service they said they will call me back.Ofcourse nobody called.I called again and told them I will call other company to get gas certificate and boiler check and I shouldn't be charge for the service.So I had to call someone else to get proper certifications.Each time I tried to call them could not get to right person to speak it has been over a year now.Their answer is our engineer came so you need to pay the invoice.Very difficult company to work for with full of incompetent people whom have no customer satisfaction or friendliness. Definitely avoid them...

Excellent service from start to finish!
We are still no further ahead over a repair. Been weeks now and keep getting chased for invoices that have been paid - left hand does not know what the right hand is doing at JLA. This is such a poorly organised company compared to all the other companies we work with. Avoid this company like the plague for your sanity!
The regular maintenance of the machines is great helps prevent emergency breakdowns usually deliver what they promise to do!

Very professional and prompt service. I was in a bind with an issue on a dishwasher but was able to track down the parts info I needed in next to no time. Beth in catering parts was particularly helpful.
Very Professional and proactive service that helped get our new equipment installed quickly and efficiently. Kimberley Stacey the Installations Co-ordinator and her colleague Darren were particularly helpful.
