JLA provide the contract at the moment for Cumbria County Council, we deal direct with certain members of staff who I have found very helpful, knowledgable and their customer care skills are excellent. Astrid Hackney is one of those staff who I have dealth with and I always find her to be very professionaL, friendly and an excellent representative of your company.

What a shambles of a company! They were quick enough in selling us equipment, one item wasn’t worth even being delivered! Our issues have continued for over six months now. They promised to pick up the old equipment, it’s still sitting in our back garden. We’ve had emails and phone calls for four months asking for this equipment to be collected and it still hasn’t been done! No one answers emails, no one wants to take ownership of this issue and no one will give us a number or email address for a manager in charge! It seems that they are all trying to avoid doing anything about this. Does anyone know the contact details for someone with authority? This company is an absolute joke, don’t expect to get any customer service from them. All they want to do is sell you something and then forget all about you! Don’t touch this company at all! Our issues have apparently been escalated but shock, no one in any authority has been in touch! Diabolical service, non existent support, sub standard equipment and inefficient staff who have no interest in helping when there’s an issue!
We have used JLA for the last 15 Years and have always received A* service. We have recently upgraded our dryer system, and the installation was handled efficiently and professionally. The Installer - Andy - was fantastic.
Terrible service, they have been promising to ring me back for four days now,, It’s not like I’m complaining,all I want to do is get a quote and spend money with them, Terrible service. Even after trying to contact jla office all you get is put on hold and just left to rot ,

I could write for England about this company but I'll just leave this comment. Look for an alternative, you will thank me in the long run. If you do decide to go with them, be careful, check your contract in particular the 'not time of essence'. In our case, JLA quote and market ' we will be with you within 24 hrs' infact that's not entirely true, their terms and conditions are 'not time off essence'. They can get to you within a reasonable time, the factors involved in defining reasonable are complex. Don't worry though because guess what! JLA will generously give you £100 if they don't get to you within 24 hrs. Whether you have been in business for 10 minutes or 10 years the basic understanding is £100 will NOT cover all the costs and missed business if your machine is not in operation.
Excellent company. One of the few left that answer the phone and you can speak to a real person. No form filling , leave that to them. Smart engineers who arrive quickly, get the job done or order what is necessary. Follow up with paperwork on line quickly. They make my day in the office a little easier. Thank you JLA
Excelent service
Do not use this company. Absolute disgrace. Been a customer for over 20 years but they are unable to provide me with any level of service that I am paying a huge premium for. Been without a machine for 2 months now with no new install date. Tried to install a machine but they ordered the wrong one (5 engineers arrived all with out even a tape measure), apparently 7 visits is not enough to know what machine we require, awaiting yet another scope visit. No one talks to each other in this company. Contract is a disgrace.
