Mar 08,2024i used them in Sep 2023 do not used them as she didn't listen to my original issue. She was not available to talk to and never replied to messages. After she said i would have to pay her to go any further! ITS LEFT ME SO DISTRESSED IF YOU PAY YOU GET HELP IF ITS NO WIN NO FEE DONT BOTHER

Mar 08,2024We recently sold and bought using JMW Manchester. I experienced serious chest pain due to the anxiety of the last 2 weeks, induced by a lack of trust and belief that the JMW team would actually take the process to completion. I will outline the tip of the iceberg here; the time invested and stress suffered is impossible to capture in 600 words. Perhaps the most disconcerting issue is that I was blatantly lied to by JMW: I was told that the planned exchange date that had been agreed up and down the chain (as verified by our estate agent and our buyers’ solicitor) and we had been working to, had never been agreed by them. It categorically had. Furthermore, we did not find out until 3 days before completion that our buyers only had a £2000 cash deposit rather than the standard 10% to go up the chain (this had not been checked by JMW). The top of the chain would not accept this figure, so exchange and completion had to take place on the same day. This meant that exchange would never have been possible a week before - something that our solicitor should have known/checked well in advance to avoid a chain of people working to impossible deadlines. Due to the above and other issues, I had to make a formal complaint and escalate the case to JMW’s complaints team in the final week. Due to the countless errors and lack of professionalism, I wanted someone to check the case and ensure that everything was in place for completion. Whilst our vendors’ solicitor had sent them a list of all the actions/documents required for exchange and completion and an outline of the process, we received nothing similar from JMW. I had to ask the key questions regarding timings for money transfer etc myself before the information was provided. In that final week I requested bank details from JMW to transfer the cash making up our purchase amount. They were not sent. On the Thursday evening (before exchange and completion on the Friday) I spoke to the assistant at 4pm who said she would send. When I left work at 5pm I checked my emails: they hadn’t been sent. Panicking, as the money needed to be ready at 9am the next day, I called her and the solicitor on their landlines and mobiles to no response. I then called the office, only to be told that there was no one there. Even writing this, I am remembering the extreme frustration and anxiety that I felt at that moment. Finally, about 5.30 the details were sent, with no apology. The final cherry on top came when we were on holiday 3 days after moving. We received a request from JMW saying that our bank had asked for extra money to redeem our old mortgage. After asking why and receiving a very vague response, I transferred the money. On return to the UK a week later I called my bank to find out more. The lady I spoke to said “this is so strange, I’ve never seen anything like this”. First direct had sent the final redemption figure to JMW on the day before completion, however they had transferred a different amount, about £92 short. As a result, my old mortgage had not been closed and interest had continued to accrue. After 45 minutes of my time, the bank representative had managed to solve the issue. I paid JMW a fee +VAT to handle my mortgage redemption, it was unbelievably frustrating to have to handle this myself due to a blatant error on their part. As mentioned earlier, I don’t have the wordcount here to detail everything, but I felt like my case was being handled by a very inexperienced team who displayed a lack of knowledge, professionalism and basic care. Mar 06,2024JMW were the designated conveyancing solicitor for my recent Bridging loan. It was clear that my Case Handler Omar Hadi had an extreme work load but he worked tenaciously to get the case completed. Despite my constant communication and pressure he remained calm and courteous throughout whilst dealing with me. When the case was completed he also went that extra mile to make sure the title deed was transferred into my name quickly and efficiently. Thank you to him and his team. In the end a job well done.

Feb 29,2024As an ex police officer who was targeted with venom by his old force and on the receiving end of a horrible complaint, Chris Fallows was a ray of light when it seemed I was about to be steam rolled by the machine. His tenacity, skill and knowledge were second to none, he gave them no wriggle room and held them to task on their obligations. A thoroughly excellent guy to have in your corner and I could not recommend him enough! And ultimately got the correct result, not the one they tried to engineer, thank you.

Like all criminal solicitors no one truly cares about the vulnerable and facing false charges and misogyni from police force. They make out on their website glowing testimonials and make themselves out to be caring when they are not.

Feb 06,2024I used JMW solicitors to review a redundancy package. It was difficult to set up a meeting as the solicitor who was appointed to me was slow to respond and always too busy. As a result, I returned my signed redundancy agreement too late to fit with the company's monthly payroll schedule, for my last month of employment. Therefore, I received my final payment a month later. The issue was that the company paid tax on the entire amount, including the termination amount which is usually tax-free. So I did not receive the full amount I was due. I now do not know when/if I will be able to recover the amount from HMRC. I tried to get in touch with the solicitor at JMW unsuccessfully - he simply ignored me and never responded to my emails.
