Kimberley Peet has been a pleasure to deal with, responding to emails quickly, always keeping me informed and never having to chase her. An amicable figure was agreed without having to go to court. Jun 07,2021I had a mammogram in January 2018 and it was reported normal but 12 months later I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and was told it had been missed. I tried to get answers myself but to no avail therefore instructed JMW on my behalf. From the very first meeting JMW were professional honest and above board but most of all genuinely interested in helping me. I was kept up to date throughout the case and always asked my opinion. Unfortunately, I did not get the outcome I would have liked, but this was down to borderline outcomes and it was a discussion with JMW whether we continue or not and I agreed not to pursue further. I wish to thank JMW Sincerely for they believed in me and for the support throughout. I would not hesitate to use them in the future and I would highly recommend them to anybody needing legal assistance.

Jun 04,2021Relating to a buy-to-let purchase, JMW are a panel solicitor for the lender concerned. Found communication very poor, with the same documents having to been provided to them on multiple occassions before they confirmed receipt. Uncontactable by telephone. Claimed not to have received a communication from the lender just before exchange requiring further information, although the lender confirmed they had indeed been emailed 5 x day's previously. No confirmation that I had completed the purchase. I had to email to find out, and finally 2 x weeks to get a completion certification (2 emails, and a reminder later). I've bought and sold property many times of the last 25 years, and this has to be my worst experience.

Jun 03,2021Nicholas Young was exceptionally great at how he handled our Mums case. From start to finish, he showed not only understanding but patience and the highest amount of professionalism. Some Lawyers do not have this skill, but it was very much needed in our Mums situation. She had suffered a great deal with her injury; she never thought she would be able to continue her life until Nick Young took our case on and now she has a future to look forward to. He made sure Mums interests were looked after at all times, he fought very hard for her, with the fantastic attributes of the Barrister. We cannot express enough how grateful we all are, especially our Mum and how much of a difference Nick made to this case and to her life. He is a true asset to the legal profession. Jun 01,2021I would highly, highly recommend this company. My son and I were run down by a car, as pedestrians, 4 years ago and nearly died. My son had a very lucky escape physically, thankfully, but I ended up with head injuries. It was a very traumatic time for us both and was so hard to know what to do. It has affected so many are areas in my life, in so many ways. Gordon Cartwright and his assistant, Sophie Burrows, at JMW were absolutely FANTASTIC in every single way you can imagine . They held my hand “from start to finish,” over the 4 years, a little bit like a mortgage advisor when you are buying a property but a million times better. They were they were doing this from start to finish. It has been 4 years almost but SO worth the wait. They were efficient, always on the ball , always got back to me within a day. If they couldn’t, they would still communicate with me and let me know why not.They weren’t just solicitors but be made almost “friends and counsellors,” too, in a way! I’ve been, many a time, on the phone with them, crying as I have no parents near and I don’t have a partner for emotional support but they were there for me. What is very unique and rare is that they were also super kind and very empathetic, as well as professional. You don’t often get the mix of both together, often. Plus, that’s easy to do over a few months with clients, having been an estate agent, myself. However, I can NOT begin to imagine being that patient with the same customer, over and over, for four years. I am fully aware I can be impatient and struggle to understand a lot of things, not only from the concentration issues I now have after the head injury but also just not liking paperwork, in general! Nothing was ever too much of a problem for them to help . Gordon had me on the phone crying to him just before the claim was settled. This particular day, he was moving house packing boxes in his garage. I could hear kids the background. Moving house anyway is stressful but he managed to not only move house under the stress of kids running around ( which we all know is hard,) moving house AND all the stresses of CV19 lockdown but STILL managed to “make time” for a crying customer on a Sunday. This is what I call “ going the extra mile !” If it wasn’t for these guys, I probably would have gone to an online claim company off the internet and not had the same levels of fantastic customer service, efficiency, professionalism and them being so personable but they also would not have got me the “claim settlement amount” that JMW got me. I know that as I had a whip lash years ago and I’ve had experience with another claim online company. It wasn’t great. I can’t tell you how “over the moon,” I am with the service I got and the claim settlement .The settlement they negotiated for me, ended up being FIVE times what I thought I may receive. If I had a choice of not having been run over, of course, I would take that . However, what I would say is, we can’t change the past but we have to do the “ right thing” for the future. It’s hard to make a decision, especially after an accident when you are traumatised and in physical pain but I certainly made the very best choice here . I would HIGHLY recommend these guys and I will be eternally grateful for them having my settlement and making my son’s life and mine now , a little easier. Thank you so much to Gordon, Sophie, Steven and the rest of the team. I’d also like to say thank you to Michelle who is still working hard on my son’s claim in another dept. She has also been friendly and very efficient but I haven’t been as involved with her as my injury was the main claim. She has been helpful too though. If you have been hesitating about who to use, I hope my review has helped you make the right and best choice for you and your family. Good luck ! Oh actually, saying that, you won’t need luck, if you choose JMW! They will definitely be receiving a gift from he post to show my eternal gratitude. From a very happy customer :)

Apr 21,2021I sold my flat with JMW Solicitors because they were recommended by my estate agent, and I liked their work so much that I hired them again to buy my new place. The first person who dealt with my case left the firm towards the completion of my sale, but the transition to the new solicitor was completely smooth. Luciana took over and provided excellent service all the way to the completion of my purchase. There was always one particular person assigned to my transaction (absolutely vital when it comes to property conveyancing), and this person always knew exactly the state of the case and kept pushing it along. Jun 10,2021I was referred to JMW by a colleague and I'm so pleased with my whole experience. My claim was a medical negligence claim and my solicitor was open and honest with me from the outset. The communication was second to none, I never felt forgotten about and I never had to chase. At any point I could have explained to anybody what stage we were at with the claim because I was always kept in the loop and to top it all off we managed to settle without having to go to court.
