Jul 19,2022We really enjoyed our stay here! The unit was very spacious and had an enormous bathroom. The kitchen was fantastic with a subzero freezer and new cook top. The last lazy river pool was awesome. Parking was easy. And a big grocery store is across the street. A wild seal on the beach was a real treat here! Fantastic place.

Jul 18,2022The Resort was beautiful and grounds well kept. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had an awesome view of the Ocean! The pool is expansive and provides plenty of room for guests, along with the 3 hot tubs. We were there over July 4th, and grilled steak/shrimp kabobs on the available grills inside the pool area. The Oasis Bar/Grill located just a few steps from the pool did not open until 3pm, so no available noon-time cocktail available. We also discovered during our 12 night stay that our dishwasher and oven did not work. The Management company was apologetic, very responsive and sent a repairman to diagnose both appliances. Parts were ordered, but unfortunately did not complete repairs prior to our departure. However, kudos to the Management Company for offering a compensatory package to us that we truly appreciated, and we felt appropriate in size and scope. Thanks for helping us experience our best and nicest vacation!

Jul 17,2022We booked this home with the highest of hopes. I mean it's on the market for 18 million dollars, this was going to be a once in a lifetime for us. The house is beautiful and the location is awesome. It is a featured home for VRBO. I have never given a low rating on VRBO, it is a site I use and trust. This terrible experience is a biproduct of a management company (Kauai Exclusive ) not keeping up with their properties. This terrible experience is a bi-product of management company (Kauai Exclusive) not keeping up with their properties. This is what we walked into: No AC. No manual to show us how to turn it on. Wine cooler not working. Broken toilet, leaking all over the floor. Some ceiling fans not working. Auto shades not working. Wifi not working. Clothes dryer on first floor not working. Big fancy stove only has 2 burners that work. Entry door handle fell off. This is A LOT of issues to walk into. When we called the management company we spoke to Trevor, who said he could walk me through the process. When this didn't work, he said he would send someone over the next day. We slept in a room that was 90 degrees, actually we DIDN'T SLEEP. We waited for most of the day before the "help" arrived. Trevor was on the phone, FaceTime. He walked the helper through who could not get things to work. Another person was called in who walked around with a heat sensor and pointed at the vents telling us it was registering 64 degrees and would take a time to cool down because the house is so big. When we challenged the fact that you could not feel anything coming out of the vents Trevor had him inspect the condenser. Trevor told me that a lizard had gotten caught/killed in the condenser and fried the mother board. He told me, this happens a lot and it would take a week or two to get the replacement parts, that we would just need to use fans. THIS WAS A LIE.Trevor also told us the wine cooler was broken, and we would have to use the little one on the bottom floor. He said the toilet had been running slow but that they figured they would fix it after our trip.We were told to just use one of the other bathrooms. I told him this was unacceptable and that I was calling management. Kittren sent over fans for us. I had a fan literally in my bed (the entire trip), another night of no sleep. Slowly things started to get fixed. Every day from Thursday to the following Wednesday there were people working on the house, this was intrusive. Guests slept on couches to try to stay cool. AC finally went on Wed night. We left Fri morning. Mgmt gave us 2 nights and the cleaning fee to make up for the issues. I plan to return to Kauai next year with my family and I def. won't be staying a Kauai Exclusive Property. So disappointing.

Jul 16,2022It was a perfect vacation for our family of four. The property manager was very helpful, timely answered any questions we had regarding the rental property. The condo was great - clean, organized, and impressively well-equipped with kitchen needs (spices, cookwares..but no cooking oil 🙁), lots of beach gears for all ages (pool noodles, boogie boards, fins, umbrellas, chairs…). I personally loved the rice cooker. Nothing is better than enjoying dinner on the lanai with freshly cooked rice, store-bought pokes, and pineapple!!! The condo is a few minutes walk to Poipu beach. The fresh water pool with the view of the ocean was a plus. We loved this place and would stay here again!!!

Photographs do not capture the awesome layout which allows everyone to be together with plenty of space, while also having privacy in their own suites. Very quiet neighborhood that was close to all of the south side, and easy access to the entire island.

Jul 15,2022We stayed for a week at Pili Mai 13M and had a wonderful time on the island. Our friends stayed in 4 other condos at the same time so the property is perfect for large groups that want to vacation together but enjoy their separate space. The unit was spacious and the kitchen was well appointed with supplies like cookware and small appliances but strangely no salt and pepper. Most places I’ve stayed at before have basic spices but it wasn’t a big deal because we just borrowed from a friend staying in the unit next door. The main issue I had with our stay was the pest (roach) issue. I encountered and chased down about one a day in the kitchen. I’ve vacationed in Hawaii in 5 other condos, some nicer and some not as nice, and have never had this issue before. My friend staying in the adjacent condo had the same problem in her condo as well. I sent a message through the rental host app and received a “thanks for letting us know” reply. I think something more could have been done and at the very least an apology. I’m still giving this place 4 stars because the location is fantastic and the grounds are well kept. However, I would be hesitant to book here again unless I could be assured that the roach issue has been resolved.

Jul 14,2022It’s difficult to know what service you’ll get based on a website alone so when a friend highly recommended Kauai Exclusive to book a condo to attend a wedding, we used Kauai Exclusive. The site is well done, easy to navigate, and very detailed. You know what you’re getting from the listings I reviewed. Also, their communication via text is timely (prior, upon arrival, during, and afterwards) without being overwhelming to make sure were satisfied, answer questions, recommendations, suggestions etc. almost like a concierge or “local friend” on the island.

Jul 13,2022We loved this condo for our family vacation!! It was perfect for 3 couples..we all had our own bedroom and bathroom. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was perfect…fully stocked with everything we needed. We also really enjoyed the porch for our coffee in the mornings.

Pono Kai Resort is an awesome place to stay and our condo had exceptional views.

Jul 12,2022It took us three years and 2 Covid cancellations to finally bring our extended family to Kauai, and it was a simply wonderful vacation. The Kauai Exclusive Management was very easy to work with; not only did they extend our reservation but reached out before our trip to offer their services. The Pane Makai house, two mirror duplexes, Dolphin and Turtle, was more than comfortable for our family of 16, from beds to couches to kitchenware. We also very appreciated the access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club pool and facilities. A few suggestions: the upstairs balconies could use patio furniture, the kitchens could benefit from some non breakable dishes for young children, could not find simple things like a colander in either kitchen. Minor glitches. We had a wonderful vacation.

Jul 11,2022Pili Mai was perfect for our two families! We've stayed at many VRBO rentals and we rate this as one of the top! The condo was beautifully decorated and beds were very comfortable. Location was ideal to shops and restaurants. Kauai Exclusive was very helpful including booking our kayak adventure down Wailua River. Check in/out process was seamless. Mahalo for a memorable stay!

Jul 11,2022This is a beautiful resort with plenty of amenities. The staff are friendly and helpful. When the screen door broke in our bedroom, the staff came the next day to get it repaired. When I ran out of dish-washing soap, they brought more within an hour. The views are amazing and the condo was supplied with everything we needed to make our stay memorable. My husband & I look forward to visiting again!

Jul 10,2022Great experience, but in some cases there really needs to be someone on hand at the condo/timeshare in case something ever goes wrong. We got locked out of our room and there is no one around to help or no info on who to call. Thankfully by calling vrbo, 90min later we got a new lock code to get back in our room. It would have been nice to see a computer or phone in the service area to help with something like that, so it doesn’t happen again to someone else.

Jul 09,2022I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. From cleanliness to location, to convenience, to the pool…everything was fantastic. Maybe even a little better than what was described. Huge space for my family of 4. Had all the kitchen tools we needed with a nice greeting gift from hosts. The Safeway across the street was everything. The pool was absolutely everything (worth coming back for just that reason) we went from Waimea canyon (west) to Hanalei (north) and Waipouli is pretty much right in the middle. Also, if you have little kids, a day at Lydgate Beach Park just 10 minute drive away is a MUST!!!. It is protected, ample parking, huge playground across the street, fantastic shallow snorkeling. We would love to come back some day soon

Jul 06,2022The napali palms house is wonderfully designed for a large family. 5 king bedrooms with so much space to relax. The pool is a super bonus. The location is so convey to all shopping, beaches and activities. Overall a great place.

Jul 20,2022Our condo unit, G404, was missing some very basic items- we had 3 teaspoons, and 3 bowls, no scissors and an odd assortment of glassware. The coating on the non-stick fry pan was peeling up. No water pitcher I fear I sound picky- but really it’s a simple thing for the management company to replace these items- that’s their job! and I’m sure the owners of the condo expect this. On a positive note, the unit was sparkling clean.
