I've been wearing corrective glasses and lenses for decades, previously considered and dismissed the operation but then finally had the courage to look into further. Everyone at the Clinic put me at ease about the procedure and their professionalism gave me the much-needed confidence to have the operation. The operation itself was very quick, painless and smooth. The post-operative service has also been excellent helping me understand and get used to my new eyesight. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend LVC for anyone considering this treatment.

Mar 11,2021I had long thought my only option for ageing eyes was lens replacement. I am so pleased I discovered the london vision clinic and found out that laser was an alternative. Surgery was with mr carp on 9th, he was fab and allayed any fears or anxieties that I had.The whole process was of the highest professional standard, from the initial consultation right through to my follow up appointment yesterday. The surgery was quick and painless albeit surreal . The immediate effects were amazing. I would highly recommend this clinic. Now all I need to get used to is not stretching for my glasses on my head!🙂

Mar 10,2021I very rarely leave reviews but on this exceptional occasion I felt I just simply had to. From the booking process to the pre-up appointments, to the main surgery itself (which lasted less than a minute) down to the after-care everything was truly outstanding. I felt safe, comfortable and exactly what patient focused care should look like. I want to say a huge thanks to Kate, Vimal and Dr Carp for giving me the freedom from glasses and to anyone hesitating please don’t! My only regret is not doing it sooner, you truly are in the best possible hands!!

Mar 10,2021I have had bad anxiety about my vision for years, I never wore my glasses because I hated the look of them on me so I lived through blurry vision for a long time. I thought about laser eye surgery for a while but I am a wimp when it comes to procedures like this (especially when it involves eyes) and I was unsure if it was worth the money as my prescription was only a -2 at the time. I was made furlough last year so I decided it would be a good time to get this sorted, I called endless clinics to find out what procedures they offered and the prices. I quickly found out that most clinics near me (especially chains) only offered LASIK but due to my already dry eyes and anxiety over the procedure I did not like the thought of the flap (which can cause worse dry eye and more flap related complications after). Once I had seen that London Vision Clinic offered SMILE, I felt a lot happier knowing there wasn’t just 1 option and that they offered a variety of procedures and the best one for my eyes and my results. I loved the sound of SMILE too as it is much less invasive than LASIK (no flap, just a keyhole) and has better results for dry eyes with less chance of complications! I did a lot of research and it appears high street chains did charge considerably less, however I felt that it was best to go to the best and spend more money as you only get one set of eyes and my worst fear was for it to go wrong. I called a few times and had long discussions with Kate, I finally bit the bullet and booked the initial tests and suitability appointment. All of the receptionists were very friendly upon arrival, there were bottles of water and hot drinks available and David Attenborough was playing on the TV for a calming effect. The clinic was also very clean and well presented. Vimal was my optician for the day and many painless tests were performed, we came to the conclusion that SMILE was best for me and that I would most likely have a great result. Vimal was very knowledgable, calm and reassuring, he definitely helped sell the clinic to me and answered every question I could think of! He told me all the statistics and percentages of each potential outcome or complication and I feel I was very well informed before I made a decision. I originally wanted Dr Reinstein as he is the owner of the clinic, however I was assured that Dr Glenn Carp is the best option for nervous patients! When I met Glenn he was so friendly, making jokes and made me feel better straight away with his comforting nature. When I arrived on the day of my surgery I could not have been any more nervous, no matter how many times I was told it didn’t hurt and it was quick, it did not ease my anxiety! I had never met anyone who had actually undergone this procedure themselves so that made it a bit harder. I was called downstairs where a nurse gave me my after care kit, some pain killers (tablets) and all the eye drops to prepare me for surgery. I wasn’t made to wait long which is good. The operation was a very strange feeling which is hard to explain but not at all painful, just a little uncomfortable as they are unusual sensations. Firstly I stared at a light which came closer, I then felt a bit of pressure on my eye and the light turned white. I then felt some movements on my eye (almost like a tickle) which seemed clear the haze away from my vision. That was it! I never would have thought it would be such a quick operation, I was in the room no more than 5 minutes and couldn’t believe it when he said it was done. I then lied in a dark room and discussed the drops that I would need to use for the next week. I could see when I left but I was sensitive and blurry, after a few hours my vision started to clear! I now have 20/20 vision and basically no side effects! My eyes feel like they have never undergone anything! I am so happy with my experience, the best money I have spent! It isn’t half as bad as you would think, so worth it and life changing!

Mar 10,2021When I chose the London Vision Clinic for my corrective eye surgery, I expected the best, most professional service and care. And that is exactly what I received. It is a cliche'd statement, but while London Vision Clinic may be slightly more expensive than other clinics, your eyes are your eyes, and there is no chance I was going to risk a sub-par experience. The team at LVC were incredibly professional, and you can tell when talking to the Optometrists, nurses and the surgeons themselves, that there is an extraordinarily high level of expertise present. I was personally operated on by Mr. Alistair Stuart and he was faultless. I would recommend anyone considering eye surgery to visit the London Vision Clinic.

Mar 10,2021I put this off for years and years and years and years, in hindsight - no idea why. Quick, painless, easier than a trip to the dentist. Had the SMILE treatment with Dr Reinstein. Great care from beginning to end and in follow up after care. Process took less than 3 minutes per eye and I didn't feel anything. Went home after the op and rested my eyes for 4-5 hours. Next morning had perfect vision in both eyes and was given the all clear at the follow up appointment that day to run, cycle and go about my life as normal. Genuinely amazed at how quick and easy it was - would highly recommend. Haven't had any problems whatsoever and it's been 4 months since I had them done. Do it :)

Mar 10,2021I would totally recommend London Vision Clinic. At 46 years old and a very high prescription of -7 with astigmatism I received all the information and questions were all answered. I was then scheduled for SMILE ReLEx Laser blended vision. I was nervous on the day of surgery in November 2020 with Prof Reinstein, he talked to me before and explained everything throughout the surgery and it was over within a few minutes and I didn't feel a thing. Also received a follow up message from him that evening checking in. I did have dry eyes prior to surgery which got a little worse after surgery but 3 months after it is much better and I only use eye drops occasionally when needed. So happy not the reach for my glasses first thing in the morning and my vision is 20/20. Post-op care has also been very thorough and drops are sent to me when required. Fantastic team!

Mar 10,2021My experience with London Vision Clinic has been seamless, professional, reassuring and high-quality from initial telephone enquiry through to 4 months post-surgery. Olivia Delamere has been approachable, kind and professional in terms of my initial enquiry and follow on support. Both Brendan Duane (optometrist) and Dr Alastair Stewart (surgeon) have been reassuring, thorough, professional and supportive throughout the consultations, the surgery itself and post-surgery consultations. They've been open to all my questions and queries by email, call and in-person. Despite the pandemic, I never felt at risk and the clinic itself is spotless. When I faced minor dry eyes post-surgery they immediately sent stronger eye drops which arrived the next day! Without a friend's recommendation for laser surgery, and specifically LVC, I wouldn't have considered pursuing surgery. However now I wish I'd just done it earlier!! I can't recommend laser surgery and LVC more highly.

Mar 10,2021Where do I start I have been wearing glasses since I was 7 year old, my prescription was very high with -5 long sighted. My friends recommended few places and went there but got refused due to my prescription and service was terrible as well few even robbed my money lol. Then started doing research and found LVC with 5 star rating and can do Lasik on high prescription. Contacted LVC on 24/09/2020 lady name Kate who dealt with me and told me every detail I need to know about Lasik I was so shocked because other place I contacted they couldn’t give me information and said when you have consultation with your optometrists they can answer all your question you have. There was no pressure she said take your time and contact me as she will be my patient care coordinators first point of contact. After few weeks I called Kate and she booked all my appointment including my surgery date but she did say that’s if am suitable for Lasik after my initial screening and ophthalmic those date are booked for me and if not found suitable I will get all my money back which I paid for getting all the appointment booked. 17/10/2020 had my appointment with the lead optometrist Sharon where do I start with her very nice lady make you laugh and make you feel so comfortable, when she said to me am suitable I was jumping up and down with a big smile, she was very happy for me by the way she is a Arsenal supporter so make sure you don’t mention any other team lol Finally 27/10/2020 met the one and only Mr Glenn Carp and it was an appointment that I won’t forget. He knew everything about me that show the surgeon took time to read my file what I do for living the hobby etc. Other place I went they didn’t ask much question they just check and say if it’s ok or not. Had a good chat with Mr Carp about his hobby what he does in his spare time and of course cracking up joke. He made me so comfortable and said not to worry about anything he will be there with me step by step. Treatment day 03/11/2020 was bit nervous who won’t be it’s your eyes you’re getting surgery on. When I walked in the room Mr Carp was there and step by step he was telling me what this machine will do etc. Made me forget about everything in about 5min I was done. Mr Carp provided me with his phone number so I can contact him any time if I had issue even at 3am, he even drop a text to see how I’m doing what a great surgeon looks after his patient. My next day follow up appointment had Mr Carp checked my eyes and said keep on taking the drop they gave to keep the dryness in control and slowly it will become normal. I went in full detail of my step in LVC so people can see what LVC provide as you can’t be messing up your eyes by going to wrong person. I couldn’t find any fault if I did I would of said it on my review. At first I had dry eyes a lot but that was expected as my prescription was very high, 4 month now I use the drop maybe once a day or sometime I can go without the drop for few days and give the drop but I can tell the eyes is settling down better now. 25/02/2021 had my 4th follow up appointment with Emma she made me very excited when she said well-done Mohammed you got 20/20 vision now but the eyes still settling down. Thank you to everyone in LVC who provided there service to me, if anyone looking to do eye surgery I recommend you contact LVC. 100% you won’t regret it, People say they are expansive but hey it’s your eyes. Mr Corp said something to me like you compare Nissan & Rolls Royce you will find the service and reliability in Rolls Royce is 100 time better then Nissan that’s why they are expansive. Mar 10,2021After being advised by a well known high street opticians that I was unable to have laser surgery to correct my eye sight I thought the only route would be to have a complete lens replacement. My wife didn't like the idea of such intrusive surgery at a 'young' age and started researching what other options may be available to me and came across The London Vision Clinic. She made contact and received an initial pack outlining all the options and processes offered by the clinic. After a few e-mails back and fourth I was told I could be a suitable candidate for blended laser treatment. This would help correct my astigmatism using laser, without the need for a full lens replacement. We received a quote and had everything explained to us via e-mail and phone without having to visit the clinic. As we live over 2.5 hours away we opted to go to London for a week and undergo all the pre surgery tests, surgery and immediate aftercare checkup all in one go. This has to be the best decision I have ever made, even during the events of Covid19 with travel restrictions etc as lockdown was imposed half way through the week of our trip! The clinic made us welcome and allowed my wife to visit daily with me for my tests as I suffer from anxiety. They were very accommodating and personable, making me feel at ease and explaining everything thoroughly, checking I was ok every step of the way. The surgery itself was only minutes and totally painless. I even received a text from my surgeon that evening checking in that everything was ok! I have only been back to the clinic for one check up as the second has been postponed due to the latest lockdown but I have been kept informed and do not doubt if I felt I needed anything they would help in a heartbeat. I highly recommend The London Vision Clinic to anyone looking to undergo eye surgery. I'm definitely glad my wife found them and I entrusted my eyesight to them. It really has changed my life, thank you!!

Mar 10,2021From the first telephone enquiry to my most recent check up post surgery....my experience with the London Vision clinic has exceeded all my expectations. The results of my SMILE procedure are fantastic and I went into the surgery having a realistic expectation about what was possible to achieve for my prescription. This transparency for me was crucial and had not been my experience from appointment with "high street chains". Whilst it may seem a little more pricey at the LVC compared with some others you absolutely get what you pay for and more.

Mar 10,2021My experience with London Vision Clinic has been nothing short of fantastic - the quality of care is exemplary (not just during appointments but in between too, including the provision of relevant drops), and the surgery itself was smooth, a product of meticulous attention and diligence in the preparation. Laser eye surgery itself can be nerve wracking but LVC were the perfect choice and highly recommended to me by several friends and family who had similar great experiences.

Mar 12,2021I had my eyes lasered with London Vision Clinic. I did extensive research prior to choosing the clinic and went with LVC and I am so glad I did. They made the whole process seamless, smooth, and comfortable. Every step of the process from the administrators, nurses, optician to the surgeon have been professional, friendly, and helpful. They really look after you. I highly recommend them. When it comes to your eyes, you want to go for the best.
