My experience at London Vision clinic was excellent. From my first phone call everyone I dealt with was efficient and reliable. My surgeon gave me huge confidence and the follow up service after my surgery was fantastic. I am thrilled with the results and only wonder why I didn’t do it sooner.

Excellent service from start to finish. You get what you pay for. Professor Rheinstein is the industry leader in his field and was recommended to me by my Aviation Medical Examiner and given the importance of my eye sight and health to my work I needed to go with the best in the business. My only negative is that you only see the professor to review you tests and on the actual procedure day not any of the follow up appointments.

This clinic is meticulous, thorough, completely professional. Nothing can ever be 100% guaranteed in medicine, but their deep experience and obvious enthusiasm for what they do provide the ultimate reassurance that things are not likely to go wrong, and something unexpected does happen, they will be in a good position to handle it (I faced no trouble at all). I found the doctors and staff engaging, attentive and ready to answer all questions. Other clinics charge less, but London Vision are clearly at the top of the league, and with my eyes I did not want to take chances. My eyesight now is not the same as when I was 15 -- no one can work miracles -- but it is everything I could hope for. I strongly recommend them.

I had a great experience at the London Vision Clinic. Everything went so smoothly and quickly. The whole process was so relaxing and everything was explained thoroughly. Any worries I had beofre the surgery were discussed and eased. My vision is amazing now and this surgery was life changing.

About 10 years ago I considered laser eye surgery with one of the high street chains but after my appointment I kept receiving pushy sales calls and decided against it. A few years ago, I decided to look into it again and came across London Vision Clinic but it wasn't until January 2020, after months of researching all the different clinics, the various procedures, risks, etc., that I actually booked my consultation and surgery. I chose LVC mainly because of the credentials of the surgeons but also all the positive reviews I'd read online. On the day of my initial consultation, I knew I'd made the right choice going with LVC - everything felt so professional yet the staff were all really friendly. Vimal, one of the opticians, didn't sugar coat the risks and very explicitly said to me that while I am suitable for the surgery, there's absolutely no obligation to go through with it. I really appreciated this as it would have been very easy for him to just brush over or not even mention the risks at all. Between my initial consultation and the surgery (2 weeks), I called the clinic about 5 times with a number of (probably very stupid) questions. The reception staff and patient care coordinators were all so friendly, patient and knowledgeable and able to answer almost all of my questions. On the one occasion that they thought it would be best for an optician to answer one of my questions, Vimal called me back the same day. Surgery day was remarkably efficient; after a few checks, I was in the operating room. For me, it was 100% painless, all I felt was a slight pressure (a bit like if you rub your eyes) as the machine locks on to the eye. I think I was in the operating room for no more than 15-20 minutes but the procedure itself was very quick. During the procedure (I had ReLEx® SMILE), Mr Carp explained everything that was happening which was very reassuring, he also sent me a text that evening checking to see if everything was ok. At my 1-day post-op follow up, Mr Carp seemed very happy with the healing process and said that my eyesight was better than 20/20 (20/16) only one day post-surgery! Unfortunately, my one month follow up did not go ahead due to lockdown but I had a phone consultation instead with Vimal. The clinic reopened in time for my 3-month check-up and everything seemed great - I still seem to have better than 20/20! I also got a text from Mr Carp the following day saying he'd gone through my results with Vimal and everything looked great. The next check-up is at 12 months but Vimal said that I can have another check at any time if I feel it is necessary. 7 months after my surgery, the only small negative is that I'm still getting dry eyes in the morning, but I've been reassured that this is normal; I put in some eye drops morning and night and it's fine. LVC also provide all eye drops for a year after surgery. I've requested some more a few times now and they've sent them out the same day. I've also called the clinic a handful of times with various questions/concerns and the staff are always very helpful and if necessary, have organised for one of the opticians to call me back the same day. It's honestly life changing waking up every day and not having to put on glasses, not having to constantly clean them and not suffering from irritated dry eyes from wearing contacts. My main motivation for getting the surgery was that I was fed up with putting in contacts before exercise...7 months later and the novelty still isn't wearing off! I can't believe that any other clinic out there provides the same level of service as LVC...they may be slightly more expensive than some of the high street chains but when you're having surgery on your eyes, I think you just need to spend a little bit more to go with the best...and I'm confident LVC is the best! Thank you to Mr Carp, Vimal, Meghan, Misha and everyone else at London Vision Clinic!

The London Vision Clinic was highly recommended to me by three different people and my own experience was top class. The whole operation is very professional from start to finish, communication was superb and the staff were super efficient and very friendly. All of my appointments ran smoothly and they were very accommodating and flexible when my car broke down on the motorway on my way to one checkup, fitting me in later in the day. The eye tests and the amount of checking and double checking my eyes was phenomenal both before and after the procedure and the actual procedure itself was so quick and painless. The reassurances and the amount of information provided were excellent. I am extremely happy with the result.

Worth it to pay more - you get what you pay for, would not risk it getting laser eye at optical express etc. Mr Stuart is awesome, I cannot imagine having a better surgeon! Had a great experience getting laser eye, and he assured me through out the surgery when it was happening. It was much easier and less scary than I imagined - I'm actually surprised I didn't get it done sooner. Quality of treatment and aftercare were great and the whole experience with all the staff throughout my surgery was also fantastic. Despite having to be re-scheduled during C-19 I was kept up to date about the new re-scheduled dates and felt comfortable and informed along all stages of the process.

My daughter had been treated at London Vision Clinic a number of years previously with good experience and results, so when I was considering Laser Vision Correction it was only natural to go back to them. I was not disappointed. All elements worked smoothly and team members were able to address any concerns I might have had.I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone considering vision correction to have the London Vision Clinic at the top of their list.

For anyone considering Laser Vision Correction I would unequivocably recommend visiting and discussing with London Vision Clinic (LVC). The whole process was exemplary from start to finish. Pre-Visit documentation was clear and understable to the lay person. I had no concerns about the procedure itself. The whole team from start to finish play their part.

I've wanted to have laser corrected vision for many years but could never get myself to go. Having made the initial appointment, I was very impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of all those I saw at the clinic. The first visit was primarily a number of very detailed tests and the optometrist (Lizzie) was very patient with me, explaining everything that would happen at the surgery. It definitely put me at ease. The day of the SMILE surgery was good and it went by very smoothly. I was also surprised by how quickly this went, with Glenn (surgeon) explaining what has happening throughout. The nursing were very clear in explaining the regime of drops to use after surgery and the supplied time was very useful particularly for the first 24 hours. Overall, I was very happy with the pre- during- and post- surgery experience. Definitely recommend it!

Fantastic Service throughout, from the first appointment to my third this month, all risks involved were outlined to me at the start. The procedure was carried out carefully during Coronavirus, it was pain free Relex Smile Procedure and was able to see after a couple of hours. LVC have been supporting me every step before and after the operation. Already recommending this to a work colleague. Will review again in a years time regarding my eyesight

I am not a fretful person but the thought of having an operation on my eyes whilst still awake was something I just didn’t feel comfortable to do. I was dependent upon up my prescription glasses and begrudgingly accepted my limitations when I didn’t have them. My vision was terrible and so I lived with several pairs of glasses scattered around the home and in my handbags to avoid being left unable to read/see. My frustration on my dependence on my glasses boiled over one day when i found myself, as had happened before, in the supermarket without one of my many pairs to hand. Not being able to see any packaging clearly, wandering around squinting and with everything a blur, I finally had enough of not having the freedom to function without a pair of glasses so I decided to do something about it. London Vision Clinic had been recommended to me by a friend. Her op had been a success - but still I had held onto the recommendation because I just worried about what could go wrong. I didn’t even book an initial consultation. Well, I had my op over 18 months ago, followed by a second to tweak one of my eyes - the outcome has been a great success. This success isn’t down to luck - it’s down to the technical competence and expertise of the surgeons in this field and the wrap around patient care that the clinic undertakes before and after your surgery. I was treated by Mr Carp, who is excellent. My only regret - that I had done this sooner. That I didn’t approach the clinic earlier and get that initial consultation and see how thoroughly you are tested and examined before and after your surgery. The staff really do take the time to explain what happens. I was seen by a wonderful optometrist, who checked my vision before and after my op and for me on the day of my op Mr Carp and his staff were brilliantly calming. The op itself once you have been through it, is a non-event, over in minutes, what isn’t a non-event is how well you will be able to see.

I decided to have laser eye surgery after 13 years of wearing glasses and contact lenses. I struggled a lot with my contacts due to suffering with dry eyes. Having been told by other clinics that this treatment was unlikely to work for me due to my dry eyes I started doing my research online and came across the London Clinic. They were extremely helpful and most importantly advised that I was eligible even with my dry eyes. The procedure was quick and the results are amazing even now 18months on. Highly recommend the London clinic all the staff are friendly, polite, informative and put you are ease from the start. money well spent.

From start to finish the team at London Vision Clinic made me feel comfortable with the process and safety aspects of the procedure. The procedure was quick (but not too quick) and not as intrusive as I’d imagined which helped a lot. Friendly, welcoming and professional team. Lovely waiting room, with treats as an added bonus! Absolutely could not recommend this place enough. I had it done April 1st 2019 and a year on everything is great. I tried to go to other places prior to London Vision Clinic clinic to be told I had too high a prescription and would need lens surgery which is higher risk. Facilities are lovely and the staff are even better making you feel at ease from the very first phone call, to the pre check appointments even till before your surgery. The Drs are great and have a mass amount of knowledge as well as people skills. Would definitely recommend if you’ve ever thought about it. I would do it again!

I had been thinking about having laser eye surgery for a while, I was fed up of having to wearing glasses, and going to high street opticians where the results on my prescription and scans would vary from visit to visit. I wanted some true professionals to look at my eyes and heard that the LVC were the best. My experience has definitely been a mixed bag. Things started off wonderfully, communication and information was great. I went in for my first appointment with various tests, the team were all lovely, my patient care co-ordinator was just amazing although I never met her in person. I however did find the gentleman who did my Ophthalmic appointment quite stern and almost felt like he was telling me off or getting annoyed with me in some instances, but I guess he has a very serious job to do. From the results of the images taken on that first trip I was told I may have a degenerative illness in my eyes, and that the surgeon would need to look at the images more closely and come back to me on whether I have it or not. They brushed over this quickly and went onto talking to me about other matters, and I had to query further to say, "wait, what is this degenerative eye illness"? I was told at my age it wasn't really anything to worry about. However, it then it took over 24 hours once I was home for them to telephone me and tell me that I didn't have it, it was just an error in the photo of my eye that they took. I have to say I was shocked, I had heard the technology, scanners etc in the LVC were possibly the best in the World, but on my first trip one of their machines had made an error which resulted in me being very worried. My confidence did then start to fade. That said I did find the LVC very thorough, and they took the time to see me multiple times to test my eyes. In the end sadly my eyes were showing too many signs of dryness for them to safely go ahead with the surgery and I was grateful for their honesty as it would have been easy for them to go ahead with the surgery to make money, but for them it was clear that wasn't what they were about. I was sad especially given that the website says they can treat 98% of people, and they are so confident in your ability to have it done that they schedule all of your appointments and your surgery dates in advance, and after appointments I got an automated email to say I was onto the next stage, which sadly wasn't the case so I found the automated emails faith in my speed of moving through the system quite out of sync to reality and thought it was strange they would use an automated system like that. When you've had some disheartening news and then you get an email saying great, next up you will be doing this appointment, it's kinda upsetting. As I live quite far outside of London I was concerned about visiting during covid, the team made me feel at ease and had some great safety measures in place such as taking your temperature when entering the building and giving you a fresh face mask. They do however make some claims on their website which I found not to be true, such as they would provide wipes to clean down belongings on arrival which didn't happen, you can use hand sanitiser as you move from one area to the other wasn't true as I was only offered this on arrival, and there are multiple touch points (going up and down lots of steep stairs where you need to hold onto hand rails etc), and I would have been grateful of staff offering me hand sanitiser more often but luckily I took my own. They also state they have limited the number of patients and waiting time had been minimised so you would barely need to wait, however on my last trip there was 13 visitors, plus 2 reception staff in the small reception area, and they had ran out of chairs as they had removed quite a few for social distancing purposes, so several people were standing up as there were so many people in the room. I waited for over 15 minutes in a room which felt uncomfortably full. I now feel so much more educated about my eyes and I'm very grateful for that, however I feel a bit fuzzy about the whole experience.

I had ReLEx SMILE laser eye surgery by Mr Glenn Carp at London Vision Clinic (in December 2019). Mr Carp is a true expert in his field. He is extremely caring and friendly, and always put me at ease during my appointments. Additionally, Mr Carp always verified the results from my optometrist appointments (with Vimal Piparia), and informed me accordingly. Vimal is equally highly skilled, reassuring and articulate. He always explained everything to me in a clear and honest manner. All of the staff are hospitable, and readily available whenever I may need some advice. I have nothing to fault about London Vision Clinic. I wish I had had my laser eye surgery sooner at London Vision Clinic. Thank you so much Mr Carp and the team at London Vision Clinic.
