Aug 14,2020I had my laser eye surgery with Mr Carp in February. The only way I can describe the process from start to where I am now is a breeze. When I made my initial enquiry I was a little apprehensive, as 20 something young woman this would be the biggest 'purchase' I had made so far and it was for essentially cosmetic surgery. However, after my first appointment with Brendan I was put at ease. Everything was explained fully, there were diagrams, models and every question I asked was thoughtfully answered. I came away confident that I had picked the right clinic. In terms of the administrative side of things Meghan has been amazing at finding in my surgery and appointments around my work and life in general. If I needed an early morning or after work appointment she has done her best to make this possible for me. She's even dealt with the issue of me having no phone signal in my work building so most of our communication has had to be over email. Finally onto the surgery itself. I remember arriving, quite nervous and more than a little anxious. But I need not have been. The nurses were all lovely, before the surgery all the aftercare was explained and we eve had some trial runs at getting the drops in right. Before the surgery I was treated to a lovely relaxing massage before my glasses were taken away (this to me was horrifying, I was sure I would not be able to follow anyone - but it was fine!). Then into the surgery room I went. Mr Carp could not have been a more calming or reassuring surgeon. Every small detail is carefully thought out and you are left without any worries. I don't think I was in the surgery room for more than 20 minutes. Then I was taken into a lovely recovery room where you lay down for a short while before the aftercare is explained again before you can make your way home. The next day I had a follow up appointment and there was no need for my glasses! It really is as simple and miraculous as that. I am still under the care of the clinic going back for check ups, the most recent of which was this week. If you are worried about measures in relation to covid-19 then I can reassure you that even before the pandemic the clinic is clean and everything is wiped down, but since coronavirus you will be required have you temperature taken, wear a mask and disinfect your hands. The staff do the same, the reception staff are behind screens so you will feel safe and taken care of. If this essay was not enough I will finish by saying I would highly recommend the London Vision Clinic and I was so glad I made the choice to use them

Aug 07,2020I had consultations with two other clinics before choosing London vision clinic for my blended laser surgery for presbyobia, which was performed by Dr. Glenn Carp in early 2020. In my experience the entire team at London Vision Clinic offers an outstanding level of competence and service. Everything they do makes you feel totally safe and reassured. There is an exceptional level of attention to detail during examinations, consultations, surgery, recovery, follow-up etc. I couldn't be happier with the entire process and the improvement I've achieved in my eye sight. The result is immediate, and recovery very quick, albeit with some time needed for the brain to adapt to the inevitable slight blur in my mid and distance vision. And amazingly there was virtually no pain or discomfort at any point during my treatment. Spectacles, be gone :)!

Aug 06,2020My experience with London Vision Clinic was excellent from the initial contact to final post operation consultation.All staff are highly professional, polite, empathetic and friendly. Needless to say it can be an anxious undertaking but the clinic staff were extremely thorough with tests, analysis and reassurance. At no time was I put under any pressure to have the treatment.The whole experience and treatment was pain free and the follow up support was excellent despite the lockdown situation. It is no exaggeration to say the operation has changed my life; to wake up in the morning and not have to grope for glasses or go swimming and see everything is a joy.Many thanks to Mr Carp and his team.I would highly recommend London Vision Clinic to anybody thinking of laser eye treatment.

Aug 06,2020I had high astigmatisms and I suffer from dry eyes and I was told by high street clinics surgery wouldn’t be possible. Through a recommendation of a friend I went to the consultation which the cost was guaranteed to be refunded if I was unsuitable. After a short regime to improve my dry eyes I was able to have the surgery and the results have been life changing. The customer service has been great throughout and I highly recommend LoVC to everyone who is considering laser eye surgery.

My eyesight has been restored to how it was years ago and it is such a relief that I don’t have to worry about buying and wearing glasses. The experience from start to finish has been exemplary from the consultation with Meghan, to the surgery with Glenn Carp (who is very personable and has the ability to put you at ease during the procedure) and the aftercare with Amir. Nothing is too much trouble and all the staff working there are very professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend the LVC without hesitation. For me, the surgery has been a positive life changer.

Aug 01,2020My overall experience is of a world class facility, from the pre-surgery services, advice and tests to the actual laser eye surgery itself. Everything was handled extremely thoroughly, the staff are proficient and professional and the surgeons (the main reason I chose the London Vision Clinic) were in my opinion world class (pioneering some of the technology required). The surgery went smoothly and I have had no concerns in the seven months since and am very happy that (i) I chose to go through with the surgery after my consultations and initial nervousness and (ii) it was at this specific clinic. So I would not hesitate to recommend both the surgery If you are considering it (the cost is worthwhile) and the clinic if you are in any doubt about choosing the best facility and eye surgeons.

Jul 31,2020Firstly, I am a very nervous patient!! It took me several years to summon up the courage to even enquire about laser eye surgery. I went to the London Vision Clinic as it had been recommended by several people and now I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. From the moment I walked in the door, any concerns I had were put to rest. The testing done prior to surgery was extremely thorough. Everything was explained to me in detail and I knew exactly what to expect on the day. I was even offered a head massage to calm me down! I am absolutely thrilled with my result. I no longer have to worry about contact lenses and glasses. My laser eye surgery has been completely life changing and I would not hesitate to recommend the London Vision Clinic for their absolute professionalism and care.

When I called with a problem, someone got back to me immediately and some drops were sent in the post the following day. Highly recommend!!!

Jul 30,2020My experience at London Vision Clinic has been exceptional. From the beginning the staff have all been kind, patient, helpful and their attention to detail is exemplary. I was listened to at all stages and every question and concern I voiced (and I had loads!) was taken seriously. All aspects of the surgery and after care were clearly explained, as well as what vision I could expect over 12 months post-surgery. The surgery was very quick and painless. It is important in the days after surgery that you are able to take the eye drops regularly. I did take a week off work to ensure that I could follow the aftercare and I’m glad I did. I can now swim and see where I am going in the pool again! I do need glasses for night driving, as I was experiencing glare from other vehicles lights, particularly in wet weather. This was mentioned to me as a possibility pior to my surgery and the glasses were supplied free of charge. I’m so glad I overcame any fears I had about the surgery and have recommended the clinic to my friends. Thanks to all of the team.

Jul 29,2020I finally decided to get my eyes lasered early this year. I had found lots of excuses not to do it over the years but I finally got fed up with being more and more dependant on glasses. I choose the London vision clinic because my wife had her eyes done there 14 years ago. Her sight was bad and the procedure was life changing for her. I saw how professionally she was treated not only at the time but in the years afterwards. From the moment I contacted them I was afforded the same very high standard of attention and care. Everyone is understandably nervous about having this type of intervention and it is important to have complete trust in all the team who will be dealing with you. I cannot fault any of them. The teamwork is really impressive and the whole process was easy, painless and quick. I wish I had done it years ago instead of suffering the inconvenience of age related visual deterioration. I had my surgery in February 2020 and the next day I could read the smallest writing on any label. It was an extraordinary feeling. My long distance vision is taking a bit longer to settle down but this is perfectly normal for my age and the type of surgery that I had. In summary, if you are even vaguely considering this then you should go and have a consultation. It can really change your life!
