Wouldn’t allow me to sign up as my email address wasn’t valid, according to them, but they messaged me about 10 times on the same address 🤷♂️ Absolutely shocking customer service and support and I won’t be spending my holiday money with them, when this is the level of support one can expect.

We stayed for 5 wonderful nights at the Mercure Kooddoo which we booked through Luxury Escapes. The island is a short 45 minute flight from Male and it’s included in the package. The package was for an adults only All Inclusive Overwater Sunset Pool Villa. The water near our room had plenty of fish and coral ,and just off the reef we could swim with Rays, sharks and turtles. Paddleboarding and kayaking was fun but we especially enjoyed the fishing off the reef- trout, snapper , trevally - good sized catches using rods. For us novices we took advantage of the Diving Experience and realised that though it was fun there was a lot more to learn for later. Fabulous dining at the Buffet restaurant and the Italian one as well with attentive staff always welcoming. For a hassle free relaxing holiday this is the way to go. Highly recommended.
My wife and I booked a “luxury escape” to Mauritius. We booked in October and the departing flight was late January (this was an extension to a family holiday in South Africa, so the flight was from Johannesburg to Mauritius. Of course I fully paid for the flight (and the hotel) when I made the reservation with their agent. When we got to the airport the airline advised there was no booking in their system for us. I phoned LE and that’s where it all started to wrong. The first agent I spoke to clearly was following some protocol where his main objective was to admit nothing. That gave the tone of the conversation. He then told me to book a 1 way fare, that they would instigate an investigation which would take around 3 days, and if it turns out that it was their fault they would reimburse that expense. Next problem…. The airline wouldn’t sell me a 1 way ticket. They were shocked at the advice I’d been given, as they said immigration in Mauritius wouldn’t let us in unless we had a return ticket. By that time the flight was about to close, so I had to buy new (return) tickets, which were by now 50% more than the original ones, and I knew I was not following the absurd instructions I’d been given by LE. Now with nearly $3000 on my credit card we raced though the airport and were last to board. What followed were days of back and forth communication with LE…. who about 3 days later (without admitting fault) offered to refund only the original purchase price and then put a credit on my LE account for the remaining (about $800). Then 2 more days of back and forth before they finally agreed to do us a special favour and credit the full amount we had to pay!! So at one level we were compensated, and I appreciate they processed the payment quickly. On the other hand, we spent literally every day of our “escape” stressed about whether we’d be compensated! Talk about a mood killer. We’ve used LE a few times before and had good experiences. This incident shows me a very different side of LE. My advice? Double check anything you book with these people by checking with the airline or property that the booking has in fact been made.

I booked accommodation via Luxury Escapes and then managed (all my own fault!), to choose airline dates at a time when my hotel accommodation was unavailable. I contacted Luxury Escapes directly and a very kind lady called Iris sorted the problem out in less than a day.
Really appreciate the wonderful service and advice from Stephanie at Luxury Escapes! I was so well looked after - and now my husband and I have a well thought out, with questions answered I had not even tho it if, holiday to look forward to!! Thank you Steph and Luxury Escapes- we cannot wait!!!
