Today was my last call with zeenia my dietitian. I just want to say thank you to her and miyagi for fine tuning my eating habits. It has set me on a journey of healthy eating with occasional treats. It's ok to eat some carbs...it's ok.to have treats but just occasionally. It has been a program of confirming fresh is best. I also started push up challenge last qeek and hope to keep that up even after June. Aim is to stay healthy and happy. I am 64 and kicking it!!

This program worked well for me. As I am a procrastinator the calls from my coach kept me accountable. Luckily I don’t have any major health problems, so focusing on changing habits was my focus. I’m 67 and my mum is a fairly fit 97, so I want to ensure my next 30 or so years are healthy and happy ones. The resources, especially the video on “there are no good or bad foods” example of a pendulum was very powerful for me. That and “Eat the Rainbow” is something that stays with me. So I really appreciate having all the tools available to me while on this journey. Thanks Alysha for your guidance.

My experience was varied. I initially signed up expecting to lose weight quickly. I soon found out that was not the case with more emphasis on correcting some bad habits and improving some not so bad ones. Because my diet was already fairly much like the ideas given with not a lot of “junk” foods it was more a case of tweaking. My weekly consults with Penny were always constructive. After 26 weeks it has become a way of life with my pantry and fridge only containing the foods that enable me to stay within the guidelines. I know that if I stray I don’t need to give myself a hard time. I also have the mindset that this has been a huge financial investment so it would be wasted if I didn’t commit to the programme. I did feel initially that the costs should have been put forward early in the discussion. The fact that there is no “cooling off” period was difficult. Health Funds do not cover anywhere near the total cost. I will continue to follow on Facebook & podcasts to make sure I get my value. I now believe I can do this as I had lost the belief that I would ever lose weight

The sales pitch doesn't allow the program to deliver what is promised. A weight loss program is promised but this is more of a change of mindset and ensuring nutrients are included in your diet program. It was supposed to improve your health but mine actually got worse by following the tips my dietician gave me. Very unhappy. The cost is also exorbitant for a 20 min or less phone call each week.

I felt that a phone call every week wasn't needed for me if people had a choice about the phone calls be it a fortnightly or monthly would be better. The cost of the course I feel was way too much. The website was easy to follow.

My experience has been a slow revisiting of my habits, and I have been given space, counsel and encouragement to check them. At times I felt like a child, restoring foundational things like water intake, “fruit twice a day” etc But so what? I see how busy my days are, with minimal time for self care/planning/enjoyment. I am not where I want to be, but I have been grateful that my directions have been changed, my systems feel better, and I can shake off all the “opinions/fads” about food advice & stay the course with optimism! Lyndal was consistently helpful, answering questions and seeing more positive steps in my week than I did! Encouragement is powerful. Thankyou.

I did not have any expectations. As a carer for my partner I recognised I had neglected myself. I had stacked on weight, lost fitness, became reclusive & used alcohol regularly. I visited a Dr to get my bloods and learnt my BP was excessively high. This program was my bid to rediscover & heal myself, and I was committed. With medication I have righted my BP and have chosen the program to assist with my cholesterol & weight. The program offered gentle encouragement rather than being prescriptive. I now exercise daily, have learnt healthy meal portions and have alcohol free days. It has been about forming good habits in my life and it has really worked. I feel better physically & emotionally. The person I used to know is now in sight... I am confident I can continue with my lifestyle habits to be me again. Ģreat news is my partner has joined me in with food and now some exercise. Many thanks

I am 76 in June and every diet I've tried - I failed. I've had type 2 diabetes since 1986, my BG has never been under control. I felt like a failure. My health was spiralling out of control and multiple health issues are now a problem. Then on a red letter day I discovered an advertisement in Facebook, I procrastinated ( as usual) then decided why not reach out, it couldn't hurt. What an amazing decision that has turned out to be. I've learned so much, mainly, I'm not a failure, even at my age I can succeed. It's because of the amazing team at Miyagi and the other very supportive members. My weight after having my family was over 25 stone and has always been my basis for judging success or failure. Over the years since being diagnosed with diabetes I've clawed my yoyo way down under 100 kg. I'm now around 80 kg. My blood glucose from a high Hba1c of 18.6, has dropped and since February 2nd when I joined Miyagi, has gone from 10.2 and is now 6.3. my dietitian Shauna is such an amazing person and the things she has taught me have seen this amazing transformation in self belief and image. Our brains are so amazing when we have the right tools and attitudes. Thank you all from the bottom of my ❤️ Miyagi.

Hi there I have been using Miyagi since January 2023. My daughter is getting married in November this year, l guess that was a driving force in me wanting to make changes in my life. (I also saw a cardiologist for the first time in January 2023.) My expectations were to lead a healthier life, eating better and to increase exercise in my daily life. I cannot thank Munpreet enough! Each week we discuss ‘wins’ and ‘challenges’, that in the past, have affected me in achieving my goals. I look forward to each Wednesday afternoon chat, to re-set (if required), and to set goals for the week ahead. Munpreet has an extraordinary knowledge and ability to share that knowledge with me. I feel incredibly comfortable asking questions and l always feel heard and understood. To date, I have increased my water intake, l walk (almost) daily, l’ve committed to a weekly Zumba session, l now play golf weekly too! I’ve also introduced yoga and pilates to my exercise regime. I feel so good about myself and the journey l am on. I have lost weight, which is great, but it’s not the main factor driving me. I have more energy and am very excited for the remainder of my time with Miyagi. I believe that the ‘lifelong’ lessons l am learning on this program will be with me for life. Thanks so much Munpreet!

A LOT of money for very few resources! YES you need to put in the time and work however do I think it’s worth $2000? No! I think you could hire a PT for 10 sessions and a dietician for 5 sessions (over 12 weeks) and come out with better results than what this program gives you. Value for money is absolutely shocking. Time and time again on their fb page, they closed down reviews and feedback by deleting posts or limiting comments. My dietician spoke to me fortnightly for 10 mins (average). Whilst the advice was solid I would have been better spending the money on healthier food, a gym membership and accessing a dietician through a GP. The saddest part of this, is I’ll be paying the program off till September but i am almost finished my calls. I’ve learnt nothing Google wouldn’t have taught me

I recently completed my Miyagi programme and have had some life changing experiences. The initial blood tests showed up a distinct lack of Vitamin D, Iron and B12 in my bloods which led my doctor to do further investigation, upon which it was discovered I had Crohn's disease. I already had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 20 years previously which is what had lead me to this programme. I was assigned Rhea as my dietitian and she was amazing in supporting me through the whole process. I have now completely changed the way I view food, eat food and prepare food. I have dropped 13kg, am off of my Lantus insulin and one of my oral medications for my diabetes as well. I am feeling so much better and really appreciated Rhea's gentle guidance and ability to help me make the necessary changes I needed to make. She also encouraged me to take back my own power and stand up for what I felt was right for me. I can't thank her enough. The programme was well worth doing from my perspective.

I have to be honest, when I signed up to Miyagi I was not sure what to expect. I was newly diagnosed diabetic and I was floundering with the information, I saw the Facebook ad and I thought, “I’ll check this out” not really anticipating anything positive. When I found out about the financial commitment I was also surprised and it made me wonder…Boy, was I wrong! I am probably like a lot of you, been on many diets had some weight loss but it has not been sustained long term, please note… this program is NOT a diet, it is a change of mindset and lifestyle with the benefit of weight loss. Every week I have been cheered, counseled, encouraged, reminded of goals by my amazing dietitian Olivia. I have set goals and she has kept me accountable every week. She has helped me see the importance of mindful eating, setting achievable goals and being proud of those achievements. Not only has she supported me but the teaching materials (both education & meals) have been informative & interesting. The main thing I am bringing away from this is that our brains control most of what we do and so mindfulness is so important in everything we do. I truly believe that when this program finishes I will be able to carry my knowledge with me and will be able to keep my weight and my condition under control if I stick to my new habits and mindset. I wish you all the very best. Thanks Miyagi & Olivia

If you want shakes, meal plans etc, this is not for you. You may think you know everything there is to know about food and exercise but if you do, why are you here? If you want to make positive changes to your health and wellbeing with a supportive group and dieticians who help guide you. Then come this way. Sure, it’s not cheap but scrub that from your mind, you are here to make changes for life, not for the duration of a diet. I’ve lost weight, lost cms and am in control. I didn’t have any particular health issues but needed to lose weight as I was uncomfortable. It’s all changing and I am happy about that. And I can still have a sausage roll or pizza!

The dietitians have been fantastic and even though when I first start the concept seems overwhelming I’m so glad I stuck with it I have learnt to love food and myself I have more energy then I have had for such a long time and I’m not thinking about food 24/7 and my mindset over weight has completely changed and my body shape is changing and my clothes fit better and learning it’s all about health and no more fad dieting

I joined this program to improve my health as I move towards my mid 60s. Yes, its not cheap; yes, you have to take responsibility if you want it to work; yes, it is a change in mindset that you need to embrace. The progress you can make towards a healthier lifestyle is well worth the investment. Kirby, my dietitian, encouraged and motivated me in my fortnightly phone sessions to take responsibility, and the resources and the positive approach to nutrition, hydration and exercise were just what I needed to finally overcome years of unsuccessful attempts at weight loss. My results have been wonderful. Weight loss that makes me feel both emotionally and physically comfortable, blood test results that are now "perfect" and best of all, a complete change in food preferences (not just choices) that are healthy without feeling like I'm missing out. I finally feel in control without any effort.

I am just over half way through and waiting on midway blood test. I was worried at first as it is a lot of money, but you can't put a price on your health. I particularly like that there is no calorie counting or strict diets. That has never been my thing. I would have liked to have shed a few more kilos by now, but that was not my main objective. I am very pleased with my dietician Olivia, she is easy to talk to, reassuring and keeps me on track with small goals at a time. I enjoy reading the documents provided filled with useful tips and information and tools to help keep you accountable. Sharing with others on the Facebook group definitely makes you feel part of a community and hearing of others struggles and wins is reassuring. Watching Doc Ross Walker is very informative too.
