They indicate to you that they have limited spots available and then put you through a rigorous sales pitch which is recorded and they question you until they get the answers that are required so that you have no comeback on them. You sign up, commit to a very expensive program and have contact with a “dietitian” each week. The dietitian in my experience has been of little or no help, the app is pointless and the only thing my dietitian ever says is.“Amazing” I would not recommend this business to anyone. Update the App is completely useless to the point that Miyagi removed the chat because so many people were complaining about the whole business. The dietician assigned to me only ever asked how she could help me, didn’t offer to look at my diet or to make suggestions to assist me, just follow a Mediterranean diet! All the complaints on the App were of a similar experience to me. Now they are saying this is not a genuine review, however I have supplied documentation to show I was a part of the program. FB. I'm currently halfway through my journey and have reached all my goals so far, Bayley had been a tremendous help and I am looking forward for the remaining half of the course.

I have been on this journey for about 3 months and I urge people to stick with it. I had my doubts in the beginning as I wasnt losing any weight, and I began to question the financial cost. In theory it was a great idea- but it took atleast a month or more to get my head in the game. I expected a quick fix and was not focussed on why I joined in the first place (which was to make the life changes necessary to reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer and other nasties that seem to run in my family). My dietician Kate is more of a support person who offers great advice on diet, exercise and all things health. She encourages me to set goals and not focus on scales, instead focussing on little weekly changes and achievements that are all adding up to something great. The little changes so far have resulted in me feeling happier, healthier, having improved sleep, wanting to exercise regularly, planning nutritious meals and not feeling bad for still enjoying life's pleasures like wine and chocolate! I look forward to what the next few months have instore for me and am grateful that I have Kate supporting me.

Through working with my dietician Megan, I am learning so much about my nutrition and what works to sustain my body in all the activities I need to do every day. I am actively renewing my mind from the way that society has programed me in regard to what I should look like and what is beautiful. I have discovered my reasons for dieting and binge eating and the emotions that drive those behaviours. I've still got a lot to deal work through in loving my body and respecting what it does for me every day, but at least I have started the process. Megan has been a fantastic support for me and is such an encouragement. Thanks for your teaming with me.

I was skeptical, why would this be any different to other programs. I know what I should be doing I simply wasn’t doing it… The regular contact with my dietitian has been the key, it’s kept me accountable, it’s allowed me to talk openly and honestly without judgement and through this have come leaps and bounds. My mindset is clear and focused, I don’t let my hiccups interfere, I keep moving forward, keep my main goal at the forefront. It’s definitely a personal journey and am grateful I chose to embark on it.

It’s great to be accountable & have an amazing dietician check in with you regularly. I haven’t lost the amount of weight that I wanted to, but even better is that I haven’t put on any. I’ve been putting on a lot of weight going through menopause & this has really helped me a lot! I am very mindful with what I eat & movement is really important too!!

My dietitian Aleisha, has made my experience fantastic. She is always very cheerful and warm in her interactions. She is very knowledgeable and helpful with plenty of ideas and information. I have learnt vast amounts about nutrition, what are ideal foods to be eating to help with any problem I have. She is always forthcoming with information and suggestions regarding supplements that she knows would be helpful for me. She always follows through with all that she says she will do for me which is very comforting and refreshing because I know I don't have to ask twice. I feel I have had a supportive friend walking with me during my journey with Miyagi.

Love love love my dietitian Lyndal. This woman has to put up with me, and yet she remains so patient, kind and so free in offering such sound knowledge on any information I require on eating healthy and ensuring that I continue to add more movement into my lifestyle. If you need accountability in your life and that motivational drive, I would give this 100 stars. Just remember, a journey begins with a single step, and you need to believe in yourself, you can do it.

Keeping on track! I started the program to assist with better sleep and I achieved that quite quickly. I no longer wake through the night, but I’m achieving improvements in so many other areas as I’m working on my fitness and healthy heart. The weekly calls with Lance are invaluable. He is so easy to talk to, assists me in setting my weekly goals, provides great advice and I’m kept on track and accountable. The Healthie app is easy to use and is a portal for so much relevant information. I do find the Trainerize app a little clunky, probably because my wearable tracker isn’t compatible with the app, but I’m able to take what I need and the exercise videos are helpful. Im halfway through the program and the weekly adjustments I’ve made to the type of food I now eat, when I eat and eating mindfully are just some of the practices that are now routine. Thank you!

This program has inspired me to focus not just simply on how I manage my diet but indeed to re-evaluate my day in the context of my overall wellbeing - that is how I establish daily routines and habits ; what exercise I do; what time I allocate to rest and restore myself; my sleep patterns I adopt; allowing time for relaxation and pleasure - as well as taking time to plan and prepare my food each day - to value eating as a time to enjoy food- to eat mindfully so that I value this time in my day as an aspect of my overall wellbeing - moving myself beyond eating for eating sake ,taking a convenient approach to what I eat! This program has enabled me to see that I am responsible for my own wellbeing and that the way that I manage food simply one aspect of this whole picture! It's a long-term program - not a short term diet fix in which one must be focused on their weight only! Thanks Miyagi for the opportunity to participate in your program - it's the most well rounded program I have come to be familiar with !

Great communication and advice from the dietitian. Ongoing support and regular sessions. To be honest, the app is glitchy but the website works just fine.

I didn’t actually lose any weight - which is disappointing as my dieticians couldn’t really see why. My weight gain was from a previous medication and it’s confounding why it won’t go. However I still valued this experience for the age appropriate education. Last time I engaged with hormones I was trying to get pregnant so re- engaging at almost fifty is great. I had two dieticians which meant we kind of started from scratch twice. I now know that my diet is good and so at least I can stop blaming myself so much. Elly was an amazing coach who stepped up and really stopped me fat shaming myself. That alone is life changing.

Giving one star because I had to put something there... Many question why there isn't much negative feedback - let me fill you in, and there is a lot. Most people who have left negative feedback here have done so as a last resort. As a way for them to negotiate a deal they request people remove negative feedback. Anyway, when I first saw the defeat diabetes ad pop up, I read into it and bought into the crap. I was contacted, then virtually coerced into opening an open pay account. Initially when I was setting it all up there was an issue with my ID or something. The sales person for myagi was getting pushier and pushier. Eventually it was setup. Then from there... I haven't been able to use the app. I had an iPhone 12, and no issues with anything else. Never worked. It was useless as their programs. The dietician calls, not helpful l felt more like a watered down counselling session. I got nothing from them. Being a shift worker, call time availability also was an issue. If I missed a call that was it. I had to reschedule one or two because I was not available. The app Then stopped working properly, I gave up trying to bother. Someone contacted me but no help. Any information I was provided was absolutely not worth the money. I feel the sham part of this program is they provide information that most who would have diabetes/onset diabetes would actually already know. There is nothing motivational about anything provided, I find the Facebook group has repeat stories.. very cookie cutter and makes me question the authenticity of the posters. Anyway, that is my experience. I know I am not alone in this.

The weekly calls are really helping keep me on track and put me in the right direction to help me be more healthy in my day to day. The goal setting is great because it's always done in a way that is sustainable. All of the resources are informative and help me plan my next step. The app keeps me on track because I use the food and water logging so I can see where I need to improve. I like to see everyone's ideas and journeys on the Facebook group, I've yet to use any of those resources but I like that they're easily accessible. I'd like to see time settings in the goal setting part of the app, but otherwise everything is working for me.

I joined Miyagi in Aug 2022. This program has kept me accountable to someone which I know I need. I haven’t lost much weight (9kgs) BUT I have certainly learned a lot about myself. I am not new to diet and exercise, I have learned it is not about the numbers on the scale. I have lost 3 dress sizes and feeling way more comfortable in my clothes. My main goal was to lose weight and prevent progressing health conditions, however, what I have gained is a better relationship with food and eating. I had a toxic bond with food but now I am happier and making healthy choices, not stress eating and I am more aware of my body and it’s needs and I like the way it has been feeling from the inside out. I have received great support and counsel from my weekly check-ins with dietician Alicia, who always ensures we have 3 new goals each week. I know this is a process, and will continue to learn and put old habits behind me. Thank you

I joined the Miyagi program in October after reading about it on social media. I am glad I did as the program has helped me learn more about my health and the steps I can take to improve. The healthie app is easy to navigate and the information provided is very easy to understand and super informative. My dietitian is Lyndal who is very helpful, honest and encouraging. We do weekly regular phone consults which have helped me be accountable for achieving my weekly goals.

I joined Miyagi in September 2022, At first I was a bit skeptical even during my onboarding session with Lance my dietician, however once into the program the cards began to line up and I was more at ease, Lance is great he listens to what I have to say and offers solutions or ideas to change, and always available via text etc. The recipes are great and easy to follow, the phone app works well as does the web page
