Newton have always been professional and friendly in any interaction. Jamie-Lee is always swift to respond to any queries, with communications being clear and detailed. There is a good working relationship with residents to ensure issues and areas of work are executed swiftly.
Update on my original review. Newton obviously don’t know how to deal with complaints. I am still waiting for a positive response regarding my complaints about one of their contractors. It is now nearly 6 months since the process started . Having promised to deal with the issues, they backtracked and still nothing has been done to resolve the problem. I have been waiting for a reply to a recent email sent by me nearly three weeks ago. I have had to write to the CEO, Mr. Vincent Goldie regarding the length if time this issue has been going on for. I am still waiting for a reply from him. In my opinion they have no communication skills and professional courtesy is lacking in all areas. I have noticed the reply to negative comments is exactly the same.
Wendy was great! Very polite, friendly and helped me with my query. She was understanding of my needs and made the phone call and process very easy for me.
Very grateful to Brandon at Newton Property for acting quickly when we reported a water leak. As a result it was traced and repaired before any major damage was caused to our flat.
I was having issues with getting logged in to the 'Portal' to update my information. I emailed the Inverness Office and June Thomson phoned me back straight away. June assisted with highlighting there was an IT Issue and resolved it efficiently and calmly.
I recently raised an issue with our factors, Newton Property Management, regarding a problem with the access gate to the parking area. The account manager very promptly called me to get more information about the problem, and then arranged the services of a contractor to take care of it. By the middle of the same afternoon, the problem was fixed satisfactorily.

Correct, myself and the other property owners did receive a response email. However, this was after months of follow up emails from us and several phone calls to Newton from various owners asking for our issues to be chased NOT because the property manager was proactive in his duties. In the newton property act you quote how good communication is the foundation of positive relationships and how you aim to respond to comms in a timely manner. Additionally, the reply was neither detailed nor useful to certain issues raised so we have had to return again looking for this to be dealt with. It’s seriously unbelievable that we are even paying a management fee for this type of shocking service.
Grateful thanks to Tamar for his assistance, patience and friendly manner when guiding me throught the set up and advantages of the new property portal. This help was much appreciated.

I called Newton Property this morning as our main door was jammed. Lauren answered and took care of the problem very quickly. In 3 hours the door had been already fixed. I was happy with the service.
Newton have little to no regard for their actions (or lack of them), the consequences of those actions or the financial impact they have on owners. This is an honest assesment over the past 5 years with them. Please check your statements. Factor fee has increased 21.5% in the last 3 years. Quarterly insurance increased 89.48% in 4 years. Annual electric cost was £62.57 in 2021 and increased to £254.35 in 2023. 2024 electric billing is way behind and Newton admitted 'the readings hadn't been taken into account for some time'. A communal leak has been on going for over 5 years. 3 contractors have attended in that time, with the latest contractor charging £246.00 to investigate and the roof still leaking following a further £390.00 of works. Owners are consistently billed for jobs they had no prior knowledge about and are not consulted on - expected to pay blindly. Also, don't expect them to respond promptly or accept liability for errors. I am yet to receive a copy of their complaints policy after requesting it several times over the past 8 months, including in person!

Tamur Raza was very helpful as I was trying to setup direct debit for some time with no luck but this time Tamur made this setup very easy. Quick reply and acknowledgment of everything was very helpful.

I have recently been moved to Newton from Morrison Walker, I have reported several issues to my property manager (Ewan) who has listened and resolved the issues within our property in a timely manner. I do feel that communications with other tenants living within the property could be better as this would help resolve some of the minor issues however do also understand that this responsibility does lie more with the landlords of said properties. Invoices are clear on what you’re being charged for
Wendy helped me set up my management fees for my new house. She then helped me set up my customer portal so i can monitor my account. As i am in my seventies and not tech. savy this was a huge relief.
