Update on the motherboard on asus got through to the company today and called explained that we have had enough of this and want a refund they kept refusing and refusing this just brings to shame that they want to keep the money im not starting or threatening or anything but im now going to have to get through to trading standards about this i just hoped pc upgrade would be reasonable but nope.
Very helpful employees, was given sound advice and found a suitable replacement motherboard for an old build I did years ago and was difficult to choose for compatibility. Thanks pc upgrade, will definitely use again
I received great advice from Stu at PC Upgrade. He helped me choose the motherboard and CPU for my repair and gave advice on installation and set up. On the day I did the repair he was online to help me with any issues and was very helpful.
Best service of any online shop! I called with a question about a motherboard I was interested in buying for my first PC build and got an amazing amount of guidance through the whole process and said I could call back anytime. They're also cheap. But I would use these guys exclusively from now on they were that good.
Excellent customer care and very prompt service. I was contacted immediately after ordering (within a minute of clicking the complete order button) and advised that the item was no longer in stock at the regular supplier but another distributor could be contacted and to expect a phone call by the end of the day to let my know if my order could be fulfilled. Within 4 hours I'd recieved another phone call detailing the delivery particulars of the item from the new distributor. I was kept in the loop throughout. My delivery date was only minimally affected and despite the fact that the price I paid was £20 more than initially stated due to price differences across distributors, the total cost of the item and shipping was still £50 cheaper than I had found from the next cheapest supplier. Overall the entire process took 3 days from order to shipment arriving and I even recieved a phone call and email on the day of delivery to let me know that the driver had told the company they were close to the shipping address. I can't remember the last time I experienced better customer service and I'll definitely be purchasing from this company again next time I have a build to complete.
Poor communication; stock levels incorrect; taking payment for the product that is not on stock. #1. Poor communication – allegedly sent email confirming that the product wasn’t on stock and another is offered instead - in black ... I ordered in white => if I wanted in black I would order in black to start with; checked and email not received; junk box checked and also not delivered there; email confirming taking payment came with no issues though. #2. stock levels incorrect = see #1. #3. taking payment for the product that is not on stock – if the product is not on stock how dare you to take payment for this and blocking £££’s at my account – even if this is pending transaction?! #4. Next day delivery – paid extra for to make sure that the product is delivered next day but due to #1 and #2 – not delivered at all. Thanks but no thanks. BTW - my first negative review ever but well deserved. Addition #1 - money were taken for 8 days Addition #2 - product not available but it is still advertised on Google and web site
I initially first contacted PcUpgrade for some advice with regards to a GFX card incompability with my current MB. 'Stu' got back to me very quickly and offered some free & expert advice. After a few back & forths, he suggested a MB that may fit my specific requirements, with no hard sell or add-ons. Usually In the past I've stuck with Scan or Novatech, but my budget wasn't happy with those prices, plus I needed a board with an older socket, and the suggested part was the only one that seemed to fit the bill, so I took Stu at his word and got the board. It arrived quickly, adequately packaged, and despite it not havingt he same profile as my origibal MB, it was installed and up and running perfectly within an hour. Stu didn't have to reply to my question with his advice, but thanks to him taking the time to respond, I'm now more than happy with the overall outcome. I can't fault their service, friendly advice, and the quality of their stock.
Ordered graphic card on a Friday at a great price. Paid next day delivery and it arrived on the Saturday. Fitted and works fine. Good company will use again.
Needed a particular graphics card to breath extra life into an old MacPro. Pretty sure I knew what I was buying, but they got back and checked and confirmed what I ordered was correct regardless if I thought I knew they wanted to confirm. As I travel for work, it was despatched and ready for my pickup within the few days I was in the UK. Contained the instructions which I followed to put the new card in to the MacPro and now I have a few more years life into the MacPro. Will I use them again, yesterday to buy another of these cards and they will be my first point of call for any part I am looking for in the future
I am a complete beginner where technology is concerned but the service I received from stuart was above and beyond any of my expectations. Not only did he ascertain the issue I was having and rectify that issue he contacted me every day afterwards for a week to ensure I wasnt having any further issues with my machine. 100% would recommend to all my friends
Very professional and friendly service. Most importantly for me these guys won’t convince you to or even let you buy components you don’t need or are overpriced. They give you the right gear, the right fix at the right price. Highly recommended.
The service I got from pcupgrade was second to none. I had been having trouble with my PC for some time, and after an off-the-cuff comment whilst discussing an order I had made for bits to fix my rig, Stu from tech support was incredibly helpful. He spent ages on the phone helping me diagnose the issues over multiple days, with detailed follow up emails on what to do. When I reached the limit of what I could do at home, they even tested my components themselves to figure out exactly what was wrong. All at no cost! Once we had diagnosed the problem, he helped me pick out replacement components that would maximise my value for money given my existing set up. I have never recieved customer service this good from another company, I really cannot recommend them enough!
Professional company, helpful and reliable
After being overcharged for a motherboard, which was defective when it arrived, I eventually sent it back for a refund and they refused to refund the money because I didn't follow their returns process, then they said I had damaged the processor socket (I knew I had not). They then sent the motherboard back to me, still refusing to refund the money. I thought I may as well have one last try to get the motherboard working before throwing it in the trash because I really couldn't be bothered taking it to the local county court (something they obviously play on). Much to my surprise, I found the processor would not fit in the socket, and after a short time suddenly realised what the problem was. The motherboard they charged me for and originally sent (not the one I ordered) was an Asus Q87M-E and the one they had just "returned" to me was an Asus B85-ME ! (with a damaged processor socket). .............. I can provide proof should this be challenged. I'm quite sure any good reviews come from friends or family. I have nothing goood to say about these people.
PcUpgrade was recommended to me via a friend after a newly built and expensive computer decided to break on me at a very crucial time. I tried contacting other local businesses all of whom seemed reluctant to help, or worse yet, talked dow to me because I had limited knowledge about tech. I found the team to not only be amazingly skilled at performing the very very delicate and laborious task of fixing CPU pins, individually, one by one - but also amazingly knowledgeable and extremely passionate about their work. The turnaround time was amazing and better yet - the work has stood the test of time. I would highly highly recommend the team for any needs you have. They are my go to, and I can always count on their expertise when needed.

Charged me £62.00 for a graphics card that was eventually delivered by Amazon. It is only £35.00 direct from Amazon with free next day delivery. I will not be back
PCUpgrade.co.uk are the absolute BEST!! They've spent much time & written much info & guidance (personalised to me - and even WAY out of hours!!). I cannot stress enough how good these guys are - they are highly knowledgeable AND experienced in so many areas. After various communications with PCUpgrade.co.uk, I chose to buy from them. (I would normally have gone to Amazon - but even if Amazon could have given truly excellent customer service, which I truly doubt, it would still have fallen WAY short of my experience with PCUpgrade.co.uk). Special thanks to Stu, who has helped me IMMENSELY re the upgrade of my mobo, CPU & RAM - which I ordered on the Mon, after MUCH advice from Stu - & my order was received the NEXT DAY! My sons four year old gaming computer was not working due to a power surge which damaged the motherboard & after contacting a local computer repair chap he told me to find a new motherboard which i thought would be easy. After several hours on internet sites looking for a replacement is was looking impossible so i called PCUPGRADE & spoke to Leo who was really helpful. Leo gave me great advise & located a new motherboard from Holland but unfortunately the repair chap i used damaged this fitting the PCU. I spoke with Leo & again he was very helpful so i passed my sons computer to pcupgrade in Stockport. Once there technicains reviewed everything on my sons computer Leo could advise how to move forward & repair as required. I would recommend this company as they do not try to sell you something extra which is not needed but only give you affordable options to get your computer up & running. All the staff are very friendly & if your not computer savy they can simply explain so you understand. In conclusion if you have a computer issue speak to pcupgrade first as it will save you time & money! Colin.

He asked me why I needed the particular product and guided me online to purchase a cheaper alternative on Argos. Such kind, genuine customer service caught me off guard, as it's all too uncommon these days. I recommend Pcupgrade to anyone who wants to support a business that clearly places a strong emphasis on quality customer service.
