Nov 13,2023The company reps on the phone were so helpful and got someone out on the same day to see if i had a leak. i didnt, it was a drain, as i had paid for a call out they sent a drain engineer out for free which i thought was a great service. my only fault is the communication as to which drain needed unblocking from the chap on the phone, he needed payment before the engineer could unblock it which is understandable but he was not clear on which one needed unblocking, it was actually the councils over flow water drain that needed attention so not my responsibility. I now have a hassle reclaiming the £600 back from them which is a nightmare, so my advice, make sure its your drain before going ahead. The engineer that attended was one of the loveliest men iv met and in my opinion, worth the hassle

Nov 13,2023BEWARE THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE . I called them as my radiator came off the wall to fix the 2 crushed pipes and got a price of £140 +VAT which I had to pay before the work but seemed correct...the guy came and said "hoo I haven't got that diameter pipe in the van"... (seriously!!!?) Keep in mind only 2 x 8cm were needed. So off he went and I had to pay to receive an invoice of the planned work such as emptying system that was already empty, removing radiator that was already off the wall, filling system by that they mean opening the water supply, realistically there were only 2 pipe soldering to do... £595 +VAT really taking the mickey i reminded them that i only needed the 2 pipes soldered so if i was to buy everything for them and do everything else myself nearly £300 and the money wasted the previous day wasn't even accounted for now i understand i called them but i also explained my problem for them not to come empty handed and leave with my hard earned cash and doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, JUST A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY

Nov 12,2023The plumber turned up quickly and carried out the work required efficiently but not until the price was more than doubled from head office and forced to pay before the work was done so having to pay £354 instead of the expected around £200 was a terrible shock to me people should be aware of the amount they could end up paying before contacting this company

Nov 10,2023We needed an emergency plumber in the evening for a very leaky boiler, but none were available, that was disappointing and left us without water overnight, but a plumber did arrive next morning, and did manage to fix our boiler very speedy.

Nov 10,2023The service was great ! My engineers was lovely explained what the issue was and how it would need to be resolved clearly. He made me feel involved and aware of how to avoid it. Also the people on the phones were so helpful throughout the whole process as well. They were clear about the price, which in my opinion was extremely reasonable in my area. Will 100% be using them again ;)

Phone calls from the staff in the office to make sure things were going OK. - I would have liked more clarity on the pricing from the get go - there was alot of going back and forth to get to the final price for works to be carried out. - Although everything was resolved, I felt the price was way too high. I felt ripped off 😞. It literally took him 10mins! I had no choice! - As a first time user of the service, I did not like that I had to pay for a service before the job got started. 😞 I will use again if I don't have to encounter the above 3 issues.

Nov 10,2023Avoid this company. After cleaning my kitchen sink basket strainer, i noticed the screw would not go back in as the screw socket had broke. They charged £150 to examine the problem and charged a final total of £350 for the work that took 10mins to fix. I was waiting for a big delivery so could not leave the house. I understand there is a call out charge for work, but they are ripping people off.

Nov 09,2023Had an electric shower that was glitchy. Excellent call response time and the call centre & plumber were polite & friendly. I was told the shower needed replacing, as it was probably an electrical fault, but was then quoted over £720 for the job! The shower unit was only £100, so didn't feel this was a fair price for labour for a couple of hours work. I still had to pay the initial £168 call out fee which was painful, but know I can get it replaced for cheaper. I wouldn't use them again unless it was a dire emergency (or I won the lottery) due to the astronomical charges.

Nov 06,2023Overall, my problem was solved and the engineer was polite. However, I was continually in position where he was trying to upsell me (upwards of £500) for a simple toilet clog. When trying to assess the situation he couldn’t rely on his years of experience to give an estimate of the problem to proceed, he simply went with the most expensive option without first trying the basics to fix the problem. Luckily, I pressed to try the basics first and the problem was solved quickly. Overall trust in the service in the future is minimal because of this, and the pricing is too much given such service.

Nov 04,2023Utter shambles. Had a new dishwasher delivered (different company) who said the pipe connecting to it was leaking. Called PM247 who could come next day and quoted 140+VAT for a 2-hour call out. Any parts and/or extra time required would cost extra depending on the problem. Plumber came (he was fine) and within a few minutes diagnosed the problem (dishwasher valve connected to the pipe needed replacing). He had the part in the van and said it’d take a few minutes once HQ had called me with the final quote… 295 + VAT. I googled the part (a few pounds from screwfix) and the plumber confirmed that was the part. I simply refused to pay (anything) as it’s a scam to even insist on paying the callout fee if all they do is rack up the actual price on site. The fact HQ agreed to not charge me anything when I threatened to call an ombudsman tells you everything about their business. Avoid at all costs. They will simply quote outrageous costs and assume you’ll pay the initial 140 regardless. I wouldn’t have minded (as I’d been told upfront) if they’d added say a 20% markup on the RRP of the part. But to essentially charge 155 quid for a part that is a few pounds max is extortionate. The total time to fix the issue was well within the initial 2 hour window so it wasn’t the plumbers time I was being quoted extra for.
