The actual installation when it finally happened was excellent. The installer kept in touch with texts and was extremely friendly and efficient. HOWEVER, the experience of setting up the installation was far from satisfactory. It took over two months from the purchase of the car. Our phone calls and emails were not always followed up. On our first installation date no one turned up and the Podpoint office team maintained that someone had come but were unable to install the charger. This was patently untrue. While the office staff were always polite they were not helpful.

I was very disappointed with the mess left after instillation. Despite highlighting the mess and assurances that the installer would deal with it, this was not cleared away. Regarding the remainder of the installation process - the organisation and installation etc was otherwise satisfactory.

Very neat installation and very pleasant installer
Job wasn’t straightforward for the installer as I didn’t have a wholly suitable location for the pod point to be fitted. This is because my wife parks her hybrid car on our driveway whereas I park on the pavement at the side of our house which is in front of the parking space. This is due to access issues. Plugging in will generally involve a lead run from the end of my drive to the EV location along a stretch of this pavement and the lead may need to be covered to avoid a trip hazard. I’m sure there will be more challenging installations than this one but the installer did a very good job especially as he had to run the cabling up and round my front door and across under the bay window to get to the side of the house.

The installer was very helpful during the initial survey, which helped in deciding on the approach we went for.
Fantastic service and really helpful explanation of everything before engineer left.
Engineer was ontime informative friendly and did the job exaclty how i wanted it cant fault the guy.
The process was very simple from the survey I provided on POD Points system to installation, the engineer was great, very tidy and was brilliant at communicating what he was going to do, to explaining what he has done. Really easy!
The installer was great. Very friendly, professional, and informative. Great and tidy installation. The process leading up to it was very annoying. Two cancellations from Pod Point within 24 hours of the installation appointments. The 3 people I had to deal with over the phone until speaking to the last person were useless at best. One month process from payment to install compared to the 7-10 day quoted time.

Feb 18,2025Installer was a very nice, helpful man. All done is about three hours. Charging works well, but I cannot get the app to show Stats (kWh's added, charging duration, etc). I read this is a common experience. Fixes suggested by PodPoint customer services don't work.
