Podpoint stopped working out of the blue. Reported fault after waiting 40 mins on the phone (at number 1 in the queue). No one got back to me for 3 days so rang again to escalate, another 40 min wait. Eventually got an appointment through for someone to come look at it over 2 1/2 weeks since reporting. I rely on this £1000+ piece of kit but the customer service is so slow and response time to fix is totally unacceptable. I’ve tried to escalate to get a sooner appointment, again no response. I regret buying from podpoint

The installer guy Lewis arrived promptly on time to install my pod point ev charger. He done everything 💯 and a great job he did. Spent 2 hours with wiring and fittings and equipment was all setup and ready to use.

I had recently a 7KW Solo Pod installed through business as I am expecting a full EV soon. From ordering to installing the product went very smoothly and communication was good, however I accidentally ordered 10 metres type 2 cable and later realised that the business is providing the cable. Then I call Pod Point customer service and received a link of a form to fill. I filled the form and received an automated reply saying it would be looked into within 5 working days but I never heard anything since. Be careful of what you are ordering, not making mistake like I did. For this reason, I rated 4 stars generously though.

Very friendly chap who worked quickly and left no mess. When installed he then talked me through how to use the charger and exactly what he had done.

The installer was very efficient and good at explaining how to work the system. However the information regarding actual times for the arrival of the installer was non existent. I didn't know whether I was a morning or afternoon time slot until I called customer services on the morning of the installation. No one contacted me. An email sometime in the week before the job would help the client organise their day better.

After placing the order they told me the installation was ‘non standard’ and wanted me to measure cable runs for them, they then wanted an extra. £87.50 prior to proceeding. I emailed Bob at Podpoint to say, ‘I would have expected PodPoint to verify their own cable runs prior to proceeding, not push the risk of cable quantities onto myself. I then cancelled, the refund was in my account within 7 days as I expect they must get refund requests quite frequently. I then went to Octopus Energy who carried out the installation within 4 hours to a high standard and said the job was not ‘non standard’, but on the contrary was straight forward. They agree that this is probably a tactic by Podpoint to get extra money and they also had heard bad reports.

Charger was installed within a few days of placing the order, installer was professional and knowledgeable, offered advice on where to place the charger. Would happily recommend.

Another week, more issues. I managed to get 1 immediate charge out of my unit after it was fixed and now back to square 1. I thought I’d set a schedule on the app..what a mistake. Charger now not responding and can’t charge again. Rung Customer service who were useless as always. Another case raised which I’ll have to chase up again. Still no reply to my previous complaint. Wish I could get a refund and start again with a different provider.

First install done before my car was delivered. No problems at the time, however the unit stopped working in the first month after the warranty ended. Very annoying, since I didn't actually get three years of use! Just bad luck you say. Okay, maybe so. I eventually caved in and paid for the install of their new model. I was told that the install would normally be 5-10 working days with occasional exception. This is where things go downhill. The 1st proposed date was 6 WEEKS after payment. So I asked for this to be rescheduled and a date was given just beyond the 10 working days. The installer didn't show, Podpoint didn't reach out to advise. An apology was received the following day after I'd reached out twice to flag. The rescheduled date astounds me still. A further 7 WEEKS! That's approaching a quarter of a year. I told them I was sure they could do better in the circumstances, which I think is reasonable. And while there has been some correspondence since, it's been radio silence for the last week. Really, Podpoint, this is poor. You take payment up front, and you can't move around some maintenance to fit in a rescheduled replacement install, i.e. cabling all done, a switch to check, a unit to swap out...

Excellent! Absolutely delighted with the our experience, from completing the initial form, survey to fitting the process was seamless! (And within a week!!) Engineer was really friendly and extremely helpful - thank you!
