Our pod point was installed efficiently and quickly. The process took less than a week in total and it was all very organised.

I can't give less than this otherwise I would give it for Pod point public charger. I have recently used public charger of podpoint at Ibis hotel near Birmingham airport and at first point struggled to authorise charging and then I have noticed that the charging cable is stucked in the charger. I immediately sent an email as it was mid night and surprisingly I received reply when I checked in the morning and they asked me to follow few steps and if it is still not working then they gave me a contact number to call. I tried all the steps and charger was still not came out and I called them and the I found a person name Joel on the call. Who tried to reset things which doesn't worked. He was keep telling me to connect other end to car and then he was asking again to take it out from car, then asking to hold a unlock key then again asking to check lights on pod point charger. I was keeping telling evan light colour is changing still the charger not coming out. Then he said he will try to contact company to switch off charger and then in few mins he said no one answering calls. He recommended me to leave charger to pod and they will send engineer to take charger out and they will thenmpost it to me. I asked, how much time it will take as I got only one charger and I need to charge my car as soon as I go home. Joel was keeping repeating same things by saying in a different way that he can't give me time as the charger is not under warranty and also he said that we are only have contact to repair it. He said as it is not under contract they need to contact engineer and arrange him to go to site whenever he is available. I again asked Joel that, so if your engineer didn't got any time for next few weeks what do you want me to do in that case and again I was said same thing by Joel that he escalated to his boss and he can't help. I asked Joel that who will be responsible for the charger if its damaged or lost and again he repeated same that he escalated and he can't do anything. Then I got frustrated and asked to talk to his manager and he said no he is busy and is in the meeting. I asked do you guys have meetings on Sunday? And he was quite and repeated same thing that he can't help. I spent an hour in this windy and rainy weather and also got late for the word was in schedule. I was literally planning to call police to help me out in this situation and some point I was planning to leave place and tried one more time to pull cable and it's came out. I will never use pod point charger again in my life Evan if my car is dying due to battery. Ridiculous experience and useless staff they don't have any knowledge to sort customers.

Great Service from ordering to completion. Quick date for installation, arrived at the house, a few hours later a neat tidy job was done and they were off.

Very neat and clean job by the pod point electrical engineer. He explained how to charge and checked everything at the end as well. Overall a great job.

We were in the middle of a storm and the lovely gentleman came out to install it. I was amazed. I certainly expected it to have been rescheduled. Above and beyond.

UPDATE: despite the response from Podpoint below they have not contacted me about this issue. Their engineers was supposed to be here this morning and they have not turned up and the Podpoint support phone lines are not being answered (or indeed even ringing it would appear!) so we have no idea if the engineer will arrive or not as we have no way of contacting them. Really wish we hadn’t installed a podpoint charger. We’ve had problems with it tripping during overnight charging but were advised the charger was ok. Now our RCD switch, also installed by podpoint, has died and our cable is trapped in the charger! A local electrician has said the RCD switch is either faulty or a fault in the charger has caused the RCD to fail, so podpoint need to look at it. Whilst podpoint have responded to a phone call and emails on the issue, they can’t send an engineer out until Feb 12th I.e. two and half weeks where we are going to have to source local, more expensive chargers (and ones where you don’t need your own cable!). Really disappointing! I REALLY wish we’d just had a charger installed by a local electrician who would have been able to come out almost immediately to fix the issue. Sadly the lease companies and dealerships keep pushing podpoint and not local electricians so customers are not aware of other options!
