I put a bid in on a property this week of asking price. Later that day I missed a phone call from an estate agent asking me to call back to discuss the bid. I called back a few minutes later to be his colleague that he was on another line and he would call me back right after. I didn’t receive a phone call until 24 hours later when I was unfortunately in a meeting, and therefore I missed the call. 2 minutes later they just rejected the bid on the system. There was no communication on why, whether someone else had bid earlier, whether I had been outbid or some other issue with my bid, and it appears the estate agent had been too lazy to leave a voicemail or email to let me know whatever message he had about my bid. Purple bricks had put minimum effort into the marketing of this property as informed to us by the owner, and it appears they were also putting minimal effort into any attempts to discuss with buyers.

From the start of looking to get my house on the market purple bricks and especially my estate agent Dylan Kimmet have been so understanding and helpful. From any worries and just needing extra information Dylan was always happy to help and getting back in touch with myself so quickly . Making this a much easier process.
The appointment was conducted on time despite having no mobile signal. The agent continued to try and connect even though we were unable to make contact. He continued to message me until we were able to find a signal. This is the only downside of virtual appointments when the mobile signal is poor.
It's difficult to not have a dedicated person who is looking after the property purchase. Not easy to work out how to contact someone to discuss progress. My parents are nearly 80 and don't respond well to people ringing for payments and are definitely not tech savvy enough to deal with submitting stuff online or through portals!

2nd time using these and what a contrast. Came and valued the property and when i accepted it took an age to get on the market, a manager called me advising that the pb valuer had let them down by going on leave and leaving them in the lurch. In fairness the manager did get it online overnight. However, then.... i also buy a house thats marketed with purple bricks and give all they ask for within 24 hours of sale being agreed. I'm now sat here 3 months later waiting for the memorandum of sale which apparently is holding the chain up. No, the chain is being held up as you haven't shared solicitor information to any party to date. In future i'll pay for the real estate agent and have to admit here that you do get what you pay for unfortunately. Extremely poor so avoid
