Jan 17,2025Bought a car on 8/11/2024 and was told the logbook would be sent off. After waiting over 8 weeks, I received a letter from the DVLA Vehicle Case Officers asking for proof of ownership because they had some discrepancies. Only just heard back from DVLA and turns out the problem was the date on the logbook had been incorrectly entered as 08/11/2021 instead of 2024. This person's simple error caused months of delays, leaving the car undriveable and ruining a birthday gift for my dad. The carelessness and lack of attention to detail caused unnecessary stress and problems. Like how does one even confuse 2024 with 2021? It's a shame really- the car was nice and everything but they really messed up big with this.
