Jan 27,2025Riverford deliver organic free range food once a week. Delivery is free. Most produce comes from small farmers in the west country. They supply fresh vegetables and fruit in season. They also supply produce from organic farmers overseas when not in season here. I get fruit, vegetables, milk, cheese, eggs, chicken and steak, and everything is significantly tastier than the supermarkets offer. And it is super fresh, unlike organic food I have often bought in shops.

Jan 26,2025The Cauliflower, Cashew and Almond Biryani box was a huge disappointment. One of the onions and one of the garlic cloves were unusable rotten mush. The recipe? Highly unlikely anyone from Riverford actually made this from the ingredients. The onions were tiny; both the onion and garlic quantities should be double what is on the recipe. It calls for 300ml of water in which to cook the rice within the dish - laughable. It took almost a litre of water. The heat/spice level on this is very high, even after taking out the chili seeds. If you are aiming at people who aren’t experienced in the kitchen, then you are failing on both ingredients and direction. If I had not been an accomplished cook, this would have had to go in the bin if the quantities and directions were followed. This could be an expensive mistake for a lot of people. Do your job please.

Jan 25,2025Delicious fresh vegetables and fruit delivered to my door every week. This is a great service as you can decide what you would like a few days before the delivery date. Prices are fair and it is interesting to know what farms your food comes from. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoying trying out new vegetables ,have been able to create different meals nearly every week enabling us to get out of our “set” meals rut. Looking forward to trying some of the meal kits.

Jan 24,2025I am truly torn in my experience with Riverford. On one hand, the food is absolutely delicious—fresh, organic, and high quality. On the other hand, the process of actually receiving my order has been nothing short of a weekly ordeal, filled with stress, unaccountable communication, and frustration. The core issue is the repeated failure to properly deliver my order. Despite leaving clear instructions for the driver to ring my doorbell or even alert my neighbors if I am unavailable, my food is frequently dumped outside, completely exposed. This is not only inconvenient but also problematic, as the boxes are accessible to anyone passing by and often attract foxes. It’s a deeply stressful situation, especially on Fridays, when instead of focusing on my work, I find myself anxiously watching for the driver to prevent the box from sitting outside for too long. What’s particularly disappointing is the ongoing cycle of calling customer service to address the same issue, again and again. While the customer service team is kind and apologetic, and I’ve been refunded for mistakes like receiving the wrong box or produce, their assurances that the problem will be resolved have not materialized. It often feels like my concerns are acknowledged but not truly acted upon, as the same delivery issues keep occurring. I’ve tried to be understanding, excusing the driver’s behavior multiple times, but my patience has run out. After so many phone calls, emails, and follow-ups, I am incredibly sad to say that I may need to stop using Riverford. It’s disheartening that a company that provides such excellent food cannot ensure it is delivered respectfully or in accordance with instructions. Food deliveries should not cause this much stress, and it should go without saying—no one should have to worry about their groceries being left outside in the open. For now, I can’t recommend Riverford unless they seriously address and resolve their delivery issues.

Jan 24,2025We’ve been shopping at Riverford for 2 years now. I just want to say Thank-You so much to everyone involved in growing, harvesting, packing and delivering our delicious fruit and veg! We blind taste tested Riverford carrots against supermarket organic ones and were blown away by the difference. All the veg is so fresh and delicious. No plastic. Inspiring recipes. We spend less for better food as we cook from scratch and don’t get tempted by Supermarket ploys to get us to spend more. Win win. Love Riverford and recommend to everyone.

Always arrives on time and everything's packed carefully in reusable boxes. Their recipe books and kitchen bits are a nice touch too. Top-notch quality all round - can't recommend them enough!

This resonated with us, so we decided to switch to Riverford for the family shop where possible, rather than the supermarkets. We’ve been cooking meals from scratch with their amazing products. Jan 23,2025The seasonal fruit & veg box has been great so far. Everything tastes so much better and nothing is wrapped in plastic! All the recipes, the free book and the A-Z of vegetables that have been included have been incredibly helpful. I love having a seasonal selection and we’re also finding we’re wasting less food compared with shopping at the supermarkets and overspending.

Jan 23,2025I love knowing that the produce is organic and safer and I like seeing the natural products with leaves intact. My only criticism is that the zero waste bag is so elusive. The times I've managed to order one have been a good surprise and led me to recipes I'd never have considered before. Would definitely reccomend.
