I have used Russell and Russell 3 times now and found them to be very professional, personable, helpful and informative throughout the two sales and one purchase in which they assisted me with. I would highly recommend them and would use them again if the requirement arises.

Avoid at all costs Incompetent, clueless to the case handed multi people dealing with the case with no clue on the case. Lack of response to emails and no follow ups. Will never use again and advise other to stay clear!

An absolutely atrocious firm to deal with. They break their promises on a weekly basis, communication is non-existent, they have obfuscated on a simple remortgage (same mortgage provider) for months. Steer clear if at all possible, this rabble are completely incompetent.

Absolutely dreadful company to deal with. Could not competently handle a basic remortgage. Anonymous when it came to requests for updates, all calls and emails completely ignored. This may have been the most unprofessional, inconsiderate, ignorant company that I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with.

I engaged Russel & Russel for the sale and purchase of my residential property as they were the recommended solicitors from my estate agents. when you engage a solicitor you would expect to have a solicitor work for you, what I received was a conveyancing agent and a conveyancing agens assistant. They made it quite plain that I could have either telephone of email communication with them if required, I though never managed to get a phone call answered or an email returned. The final statement of account was revised 5 times and i still await a paper copy of the rev 5 item. I must say though that the agent was sick for three weeks so this had an effect on progress but once the conveyancing partner intervened all went to plan. It all went well in the end but the total lack of communication is frustrating especially when you have to agree a completion date and arrange moving. HAVING GAVE THEM NOT TWO WEEKS TO SEND THE CORRECT STATEMENT THERE IS STILL NO REPLY SO DOWNGRADED TO ONE STAR AND THIS IS TOO MANY.

They just got on with it and kept me up to date throughout. It seemed a very simple process and it went through with no issues at all. Thank you

We used this firm for a remortgage, as instructed by our lender. The service we received was truly awful. We did not know what was happening. Our emails were ignored, we could never get through to anyone to talk about our case, and the whole process took way longer than expected and they still got it wrong at the end.

Generally, our house sale went well on our side, but we did have problems and delays from the buyer's side that were out of our control. The buyers had to change solicitor to get the sale completed which didn't help with timescales, but did mean the sale completed, though several weeks later than expected. Hayatun Barker at R&R was patient with us and all the obstacles that the buyer's original solicitor seemed to put in the way - we all got there in the end and the buyers are happy to be in their new home. All's well that ends well...
