Nov 07,2023We didn't have $3500 to pay for our dog Joe's TPLO. It was awful seeing him in pain. Scratchpay allowed us to get his knee done in the spring so he had time to heal up before the winter weather gets here. We buckled down and made double payments and didn't pay a dime in interest! Will definitely keep this option in mind when things like this come up!

Nov 05,2023Wanted to pay off in 6 months, not 12, with extra interest. However, there was no way I could find to pay off early except for the last monthly payment. Thank you. I'll try again with Scratch as they did help out in a crunch vs. putting on cc.

Nov 03,2023very easy to use when i needed it. poor website design, page should refresh itself after adding payment method. i sat on hold for a long time because the pay now button didn't refresh. interest rate seems predatory, if it was negotiable after the fact would be less predatory.

Nov 02,2023I needed to use Scratchpay for emergency "same day" surgery on my 12 yr. old mini-Greyhound. I have Care Credit, but the interest rate is so high, it never gets paid down. Scratchpay has convenient monthly payments that worked for me.

My husband lost his job in August and we struggled to make the last payment but finally paid it off today. Oct 26,2023Complete lack of transparency. I wound up paying my bill off immediately. Details: They say they offer 0% financing but you cannot change your autopay to reflect that, so you have to call or go online (“or send a check”) every month, which of course raises the likelihood of failing to pay by the “end of the promotional period,” thus being charged the full interest amount accrued during that period. Further, they charge a “convenience fee” for manually paying extra each month (which is required to avoid the interest). I have many financial accounts, have had many loans, and have never seen this. Taking into consideration the crisis state many are in when they are at the vet and weighing financing options (no one takes out a vet loan when things are going well) this seems manipulative and deceptive. Do not recommend. Pay out of pocket or go to a vet that accepts Care Credit, which I used in the past at a different vet, and which was wonderful.
