Jun 26,2016had a few delays in the begin i helped confused things with 2 different orders plus i approved the final drawings without checking the small print. but nothing was a problem for SHS they sorted it each time. i ordered the frameless and the stainless rod fill hand handrails. Parts went missing (6mtrs rails) this was the fault of the courier but SHS customers service was excellent couldn't do enough sent new rails which arrived the following day. before during and after the installation when assistance and extra parts were required SHS have been probably the best company I've every dealt with over the phone. the frameless glass and the handrails are 1st class and look fantastic. looking forward to using SHS again for a new project.

Jun 16,2016It took me three times to receive the correct orders from this outfit. Some were badly machined, some were missing and some were incorrectly dispatched. I'm still waiting after months. Worse still when you try to ring up, people don't call you back. Absolutely shocking. Buy elsewhere!

I received professional advice about choosing the right product from the range available, excellent and friendly customer service at every stage of the process, and efficient delivery of my order ahead of schedule. The company even couriered a replacement handrail to me via next-day delivery at no cost to me when the original turned out to be the wrong size. The balustrade I bought is superbly engineered, and the installation went like a dream! Thank you from one very satisfied customer (with a special mention to Hannah Sillery, who deserves a sixth star!).

Mar 11,2016The product quality is very good however the Company's post sale customer service attitude is absolutely terrible. Every detail of the design has to be checked within 5 days of receipt otherwise the Company will deny any responsibility, even for their own errors. In my case the Company admitted they had assembled my stainless posts using "Old Stock" components with a design unsuitable for my mounting requirements. I had requested and received photographic detail of the post base design prior to placing my order. The Company would only agree (very reluctantly after escalation to management level,) to correct the error if the items were returned at my expense. If you deal with this Company it is imperative to check every detail of your order within 5 days because this is their first line "get out clause". My order was delivered just before Xmas my check was for for quantity not detail of design and assembly. In my view if the Company make an error, that they admit to, then they should stand behind their product and not immediately slope shoulders. Be very wary.

Feb 09,2016After looking lots of different suppliers and talking to installers (who gave us some astronomical prices) we found SHS who were very heloful. I decided to do the installation myself and we went through several iterations of the drawings to get all details correct. Once we had finalized the drawings and ordered the balustrade, it arrived without undue delay. There were a couple of lengths of handrail missing but this was rectified quickly. The delivery included all the fittings and tools required to do the job including stainless steel polish for the finished product. I was particularly impressed at the quality of the drills and taps provided because this is necessary to work on stainless steel One thing to note however is that the glass is very heavy - the glass pallet cannot be moved after delivery! Installation does require precise layout and positioning of the posts. I was helped because my builder had built the terrace very accurately and also because (in my youth!) I had trained as a mechanical engineer and had experience of working with stainless steel. But the finished result more than repaid the effort and, unlike the rest of the garden which grows weeds, I can walk out onto the terrace and the glass balustrade just looks the same as when I finished it!

Once I had contacted the company we received excellent service from all the staff involved from sales, through to design and commissioning and final delivery. The product itself is well engineered and of good quality. Very happy to do business with them ( this was for balustrade and glass to surround a raised decking area at a private address).

Nov 14,2015I recently ordered a glass balustrade for a raised patio area for my house after having an extension built. I searched the internet high and low and spoke to numerous local companies who provide this service. I got a lot of negative responses and was told that orders had to come via the builder or that they would only supply businesses. SHS were polite, informative, helpful and regularly kept in contact with me. The product despite being cheaper than anywhere else, is fabulous and looks amazing. It is stainless steel and not brushed steel (which my builder advised against as it rusts in not time.) I highly recommend this company. Delivery was also included in the price and came on a date I chose as I was able to give them plenty of notice. Brilliant company to work with.

Nov 11,2015If you are thinking of using a stainless steel and glass balustrade then I can give you some real advice as i have just completed mine! I chose after a lot of time on the web a company called SHS products. They have a good online design system and also use 316 stainless steel and came back with a good quote so i took the plunge and ordered. I should at this point say I am a relatively experienced DIY guy but I have never done this before. SHS sent good layout diagrams and a great little tool kit and I immediately was impressed with the quality. TIP number one is to make sure you realise all the measurements are CENTRES. so make sure you measure to the correct point! Having done that and spent some nervous moments checking and rechecking I drilled all the holes and crossed my fingers. However the entire fitting of the steel took me only one afternoon and went without a hitch followed very quickly by the glass. Perfect fit! The quality of the materials is excellent but I have to say that the best thing about SHS is the people. From the sales staff at first contact all the way to the delivery man my experience was exceptional. Well done to the entire team.

Nov 10,2015I can honestly report that from the start to finish of ordering our product, the company and its team could not have done enough to help us through the process.. Even to after service, sending videos showing step by step guides to assemble our ballastrades...the order was with us well before the given date and the delivery could not have gone smoother....would definitely use them again and also recommend them...thank you to everyone....

Sep 29,2015Maybe due to the holiday period or illness, however we were shuttled between staff and did not get return calls promised. Issue also on delivery. Product promised to come by 1200 and actually delivered late afternoon. Why not call and say it will be delivered in the afternoon.

Aug 18,2015From the initial enquiry, (Andrea) through design (David) and customer relations, (Hannah, Fiona & Mollie) I was guided through a reasonably difficult scheme. The assistance along the way was helpful and reassuring. The product is superb and the minor issues we had were dealt with expediently and as promised. I would have no problem recommending SHS Products to anone interested in purchasing balustrade systems.

Jul 28,2016We cannot recommend SHS Products highly enough. After reading through many reviews and contacting companies after seeing them at the National Home Building Show and Grand Designs at the NEC and being disappointed with the lack of a response to our enquiry, we found SHS. Their service from point of call, estimation, design, drawings and delivery was nothing short of excellent. Richard Hawkins managed our enquiry, Hannah drew up the plans and I believe Colin (?), delivered the goods and all were exceptional. I felt compelled to submit a review because like many other consumers, I have been on the end of horrendous service and I believe it's important to write positive as well as bad reviews! In short, SHS are excellent and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them!
