We have just returned from an amazing week at the Ski lodge in Val d'Isere. We had the best ski holiday ever thanks to the great staff, fantastic food and beautifully clean, modern accommodation in a great location very close to the centre of town and slopes. Special mention to Ollie and Matt who were the fabulous duo running the bar always greeting us with a big smile and just the right amount of cheerful banter. Cannot recommend them highly enough and they played a massive part in making this an overall fabulous Christmas ski holiday. Thank you Skiworld we will be returning!

We stayed in rooms 308 & 309, good rooms, 309 is very quiet. The beds were comfortable enough but the 140cm double in 309 was a bit stingy for what is otherwise an excellent room. Wifi was not great until in the bar area. Steam room and sauna were fine but the supply of towels was intermittent. The food was generally tasty and sufficient of it if you ate the lot. The food issues related to the coffee - 1 machine for a lot of people leading to some guest impatience causing the filter machine to spill and meaning the pot had varying strengths of coffee many of which were undrinkable; fruit juice not available at all breakfasts; one evening when the chefs had clearly had an issue leading to a late supper. However, these are mainly superficial problems and should be resolved for future weeks. The staff were helpful, pleasant, and seemed concerned if there was a problem. They were without a manager for the majority of our stay due to injury, and the replacement manager arrived and introduced himself as we were leaving and listened to our comments. The ski room is excellent. We would use Skiworld again. However, we are most unlikely to be holidaying in France any time soon due to the delays caused on our transit by the yellow jackets (gilets jaunes). Distinct lack of interest from the Gendarmerie in enabling traffic flow.

Basic to the level of 1star. No keys for rooms, “ski room” is a poky little corner with room for a couple of people at a time. Cramped feeling and dark. No bar as advertised. WiFi only in common area. Food very basic (expect to supplement from buying outside a lot). Seem to have to ask for everything as if it is all rationed. This place is very very budget and if you pay any more than a very budget price you will be disappointed.

Chalet hosts were really friendly and cooked amazingly delicious food. They were personable and good fun when they were here. We ate like kings for the 5 days that you get hosted for (one day less than last year, a saving not really passed onto the consumer at all it seems). An area rep was regularly in the chalet to provide there to events, sometimes share his experience and was also very personable. The chalet was pretty clean and tidy and had most the essentials required. Some parts were pretty tired looking but nothing was dirty or unacceptable. What really let the chalet down, and impacted nearly all of us in the chalet was a lack of internet (advertised as available). We reported this on the first day but no solution was proposed or, it seemed, escalated. When another member of the chalet said it was important to them we were all temporarily given access to the skiworld internet but this was switched off after a day or two and was no good either. Firstly in this day and age internet should be good enough for everyone to use and secondly when brought to the attention of the company it should be promptly resolved. I'm not convinced our query went anywhere.

Chalet Phoenix was great, staff & food also great, and access to two spas. Downsides were the stairs inside the chalet and the walk to/from the bus which could have stopped outside. Also, I will never travel via Gatwick again, Skiworld (and other operators) please offer regional flights throughout the season.

Excellent stay at Chalet Valerie. Holiday was very stress free with ski world taking care of everything.

really good holiday, all went very well. It was the first week of the season and there were a few teething troubles with the apartment. These were all sorted out quickly and efficiently.

Our stay in Chalet Benoite was far from adequate due to the chalet host who was totally out of her depth. An attempt to support her was made by the resort manger. In my 35 years of skiing the host was the worst we have every experience. Sultry, unkempt and a very basic cook. I think better training is required for the hosts. The chalet was lovely and it a great position.

We had a wonderful holiday with all our requirements met. The skiworld resort organiser was well informed and could answer all our questions and explained clearly when we were unsure where we needed to be or when we were looking for shops, restaurants or entertainment. The chalet hosts were professional yet friendly and responded well to our desire to design a local quiz. A great holiday.

I have received this request for a review from Ski World but I don’t know which of my ski holidays it relates to as I went twice last season. Once 8 months ago and again 5 months ago. I booked neither so don’t know which one was with ski world. It’s a little strange to be asked for feedback 5-8 months after a holiday!

The chalet and hosts were fantastic and the resort was everything we asked for. Only slight hindrance was that our room was the only one in the chalet without our own toilet,meaning we had to use the toilet next to the living room which wasn't very private. Other than that it was a great experience and would highly recommend. Thanks

I was met at the bus station, otherwise I would have been hopelessly lost. Two members of our party became ill and medical attention was promptly arranged by the chalet staff. I had to cancel for unfortunate personal reasons but the holiday was reinstated under the original terms. The resort and head office staff were excellent. The chalet was comfortable. The room had individual wardrobes and spa baths. It was ski-out and almost ski- in. The resort is extremely well organised with fabulous ski area and challenging and fun runs.
