My wife booked a trip to Europe through skybooker in 2020 and due to covid we couldnt travel and we were notified by skybooker that we would get vouchers to be reused anytime before Sep 2023. This year they informed that the offer has expired and we had to rebook in order to apply the credit towards the trip. which mean we had to give our credit card information. This does not make sense as we had already paid CA $ 3000 for this trip and requesting Credit card info is ridiculous. We have tried to reach them several times but no response. These guys are total scammers and should be investigated and put out of business. Legal action should be taken against this business. I want to ensure that no one else gets caught in their scams.
Last year I booked a flight to Berlin through Skybooker. The flight to London was canceled by British Airways. Because there were no suitable flights, I requested Skybooker refund my money. They refused. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and was told they couldn’t help me. After the dispute was closed Skybooker offered me a voucher ( $1153- their service fees for $966, valid anytime with no expiration date). I tried to use it today and was told because I originally disputed the charge was entitled to nothing. And the agent that offered me the voucher no longer worked for the Company. So I am out $1153 for a flight that the airline cancelled. In what insane world does this grift of a company get to pocket y $1153 for absolutely no service. They did not pay BA for any flights. Stay clear! They dishonorable, a fraud and their services a scam.
i booked a ticket before the pandemic and got canceled due to Covid-19. I contacted Agent Angela who helped me to rebook the flight using that amount. Very Helpful and very patient.
Still have not received response from this company. They have officially STOLEN $1100+ of my money. They did not fulfill their duties of providing travel service by booking my flight, providing me a voucher, or refunding my money. They have become unresponsive. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! HEARTBREAKING. We planned a trip for our 30th wedding anniversary and then Covid-19 cancelled everything. We are still trying to get a refund 2 years later. Wrote to BBB and Skybooker promised us refund if $400 for $1100 flight. I said okay. No refund. SCAM! All they do is lie. DO NOT USE THEM!
Same experience as everyone else: I have contacted American Airlines. They state that the flight funds were refunded to Destina, which means that you are in possession of my funds, and thus you must either allow me access to those funds to reschedule my own travel, or refund them to me. Per your own published policies, the airlines determine if a ticket is refundable or not (see your own published statement below). When I originally postponed the flight and asked your representative what my options were, your representative also stated that American Airlines does not allow refunds, so while you claim that these were non-refundable tickets from the airline, you were able to get the funds refunded to yourself. That’s odd. Thus, I am requesting, since you have had the funds refunded to you, to either refund those funds to me or to return those funds to American Airlines for me to book my flight. Cancellations/Refunds are subject to Airline rules and restrictions, please consult with one of our travel consultant. As you mentioned in your last email, you don’t want a penny from me, so let’s see if you have the integrity to back that up. You currently have my flight funds in your possession. As a matter of record, I will be saving all of these communications.
I don't know how they are still in business. You cannot reach them anymore. They refuse to give you your refund. They just ignore your emails and you cannot reach them on the phone anymore. I have called and emailed them numerous times. They said I have a credit to use of $1,450. When I have requested a refund, they just put you off and don't respond. My credit doesn't expire until Sep 2022 and the last email I got see below: This is just to inform you that the Credit Voucher is valid up to a maximum of 24 months from date of issue. Your tickets were issued on July 28th, 2019 and is no longer eligible. When clearly I have emails stating that my credit expires Sep 2022 see below In regards to your reservation, you have the future credits of $1450.20 which can be used before Sep 2022 by paying applicable fare & tax difference if any. Why now they are saying I can no longer use my credit. They are a SCAM!!!! They take your money. People do your research and read all the bad reviews on how they have took people's money. And on some people that were successful in using their credits had issues with them cancelling their flights etc. NEVER use these people, just go thru the airline to book your tickets. Not worth the savings!!!!
These guys do not do what they say they will. I had a flight canceled by COVID over a year ago and I am still waiting for my refund. DO NOT use these guys.
Parents went on first trip to Europe and we’re having the time of their lives until skybooker took $3000 USD from them without the slightest thought that people work their asses off to live and enjoy a much needed vacation away from a tough world. But people who are too senseless to let people enjoy themselves took the money and have not offered a refund because they’re unprofessional and violent. To totally violate someone on vacation is worse than low. Someone needs to set this company straight.
If I could give zero stars I would. This company has promised me a refund on my $1100 tickets to Italy for May of 2020 so many times. First it was for $800, then $500. The refund was "processing all of 2020 and 2021. Now July of 2022 I have received zero money and can't even get into contact with Skybooker to try to use my "flight credit" that they promised I could use. Complete SCAM. Maybe if they would respond to emails or phone calls they would be considered a reputable company.
I booked a flight Dec 2019 for the summer of 2020. Of course, it was canceled due to Covid. I was assured I would have vouchers as the flights were on Delta (who I know offered full refunds or made rebooking available until 2023) yet when I went to look into future flights I discovered that Skybooker NO LONGER EXISTED. I had an email from a support desk from before and I sent something to that. Eventually someone responded. Their response was that they would fully refund my account due to the cancelation of the flights. No response after requesting proof of that communication. I kept trying through the next few months to get back in communication with them... no response. Fast forward to early 2022 when the site suddenly works again and now responses come from Destina. I'm told that I now have vouchers for my trip. I ask how to use said vouchers and for how much are they. The response I get? 2 months later from yet another "agent" who tells me my vouchers expired 2 years after my purchase date of Dec 2019. So, why didn't they lead with that? If they "expired" Dec 2021 then why would an agent tell me that I had them in April of 2022? We're back to where they won't answer emails or calls. They will take your money and run if your flight is canceled or switched. DON'T TRUST SKYBOOKER OR DESTINA!
STILL WAITING FOR OUR REFUND!!!!! Tickets bought in 2020, flights were cancelled due to COVID-19. The DOT stated were entitled to a full refund no matter the ticket type and SKYBOOKER who also goes by various other companies and named decided to make up policies to have their customers believe these are legally binding but they’re NOT!!!! They don’t want to give people back anything. We talked to the airline and they also said that they’re responsible for refunding everyone in full!!!! SEVERIN the manager is a hypocrite who doesn’t even know what any of his own policies are or what the DOT stated! He stopped replying to us because we caught him in his inconsistencies. We have made several complaints to the BBB but of course they dissolved the company and go under a different one so the BBB can’t find it locate them!!!! They owe us $1295.40 for 2 flights and they haven’t even given us any type of itemized receipt for anything. All they do is send automated replies and never answer their phones !!!! We need to sue SEVERIN the manager who is the one calling all the shots
This company simply does not care about their customers. I try to contact them and they always send me a link that does not work to respond To my "suport thread". I have credit with them to go to New Zealand from November 2020 since COVID canceled our flight. I am trying to book with them but not getting any response !!!! I would not book with them if you are hesitating.
I have been working with Skybooker via (202)929-4050 for a trip that was cancelled last September of 2021. The last claim was that they were waiting on the airlines to provide the refund and it would be 10-14 days past that to receive the refund. Last contact was 4/29/2022 and representatives no longer answer phones or return messages. I have called every business day since 6/6/22 trying to make contact without any return calls or replies. To date I have not received any refund.
I have had the same results as many others. The one time a person answered my call we were disconnected after I had given my booking number. The airlines and the travel insurance company have both confirmed that the money was refunded back to Skybooker.
I would give zero stars if I could. I booked a trip February 2020 and it was canceled due to covid. I have been in contact with skybooker every few months throughout the last 2 years. I have email after email stating that my credits ($5700) were still valid under the Virgin Australia future flight credit policy (email from Isa Mohammed and others). I was also emailed by Randy Thomas that my credits had been released to Virgin Australia, which never happened. Then I was told my credits were no longer valid from Claudia. I did finally get ahold of a customer support agent who then told me (this was all within a couple hour period from non valid email and call) that my credits were still valid and I asked her the contact Virgin Australia's industry support team for them to take control of my tickets. I was put on hold and then "accidentally" hung up on. They must have the highest accidental hang up rates because it happens every single time I call and now i have been on call for about an hour. This company has been nothing but a nightmare and inconsistent from day one. There has been no offer of resolution.
Terrible excuse for a company. Nothing but spineless cowards. Have been hassling with them for awhile now about our refund due to COVID back in 2020 and still have yet to receive it or any customer service whatsoever. They don’t pick up their phones and don’t answer live chat. They know they are in the wrong that’s why they have shut down their website and are literally ignoring people on purpose. I’ve come across plenty of people in the same boat all with the same exact issues. This company is nothing but scammers and thieves. How are you going to block me from emailing you? Purely petty and disgusting tactics with absolutely no concern for its customers. I’ve filed a complaint with DOT and BBB. Stay away from Skybooker/AirfareExperts/Farestore/DestinaHolidays as they are all the same garbage. Max, Severin, Ajaz or Nadeem are supposedly the people that run these sites but who knows what’s actually true. First and last time buying tickets like this. NEVER USE A TRAVEL AGENCY PEOPLE. Always call the airline because if a travel agent can offer you a ticket for less then so can the airline because they would rather have you buy it through them then a third party. That way we can put trash company’s like this out of business.
Have been trying to call, live chat and email multiple times about my refund due to flight being canceled due to COVID. Never get anyone on calls or on live chat. Either on hold the whole time I call or just a bot on the live chat. Don’t even have the decency to pick up your phones because they are too afraid to get chewed out because they know they are completely wrong. Literally just trying to gaslight people or just straight ignoring them because all they want is your money. Airline policy and the DOT clearly state that if airline cancels flights for ANY reason, then you are entitled to full refund. Plenty of people Ive read about who are dealing with the same issues from this exact company. So stop trying to scam all of us and just give us back our money. Nothing but a bunch of crooks. Ridiculously incompetent service with 0 skill for communication and complete lack of respect for your customers. An absolute joke of a “company” who need to be shut down after giving back everyone’s money they stole. You really think I’m going to give up and just let you keep my money? Not gonna happen. Booked a flight pre-covid. Got cancelled due to covid, have been asking for a refund for a while now and still nothing. Feels like they are just stalling / not communicating. They don't respond to emails, hot line doesn't work, several times on live chat they respond once or twice then ghost me. =( Edit: I received an email 2 weeks ago stating that they have refunded my roughly 62% of the original price. However, the funds have yet to reach my bank. I have try to contact them but, have not received any reply.
