Sep 26,2019We found Solargain were unable to deliver in any aspect of what they originally offered. When agreeing to the quote, we were initially told our installation would be prior to Christmas 2018, however this date was moved several times with no reason provided causing us to move our work schedules to accommodate - the installer finally arrived around the 27th of January. Once the installer had arrived and completed what we assumed was his site inspection, he stated that he required different brackets to suit our roof and these would need to be ordered in. The second visit a few weeks later, we were told the brackets that he had ordered were and issue, and they would have to look at alternate ways to install the panels. The installer was unable to complete the installation. To save us the hassle in the long run (supposedly) he installed our inverter. The solar panels had been delivered to our property this date, we had only partial use of our garage in order to accommodate them. The third visit was again a few weeks later, we were in mid-February by this stage, having missed summer sun for the solar panels and pretty annoyed. We were told that our roof was not suitable and was too slippery to complete the installation. It was at this point we were put in touch with Solargain, who said that the only position in which we were able have the solar panels was where we would lose approx. 30% sunlight or pay extra to get them installed. We stated we wanted a quote for all options and awaited a response. After a week with no response we contacted Solargain again (as they had said they would give us the quote the next day) and were provided us with a quote, for the exact same installation but it was $1000 more expensive. We were also provided two other options for installation on our deck, which we were not happy with but sought more information about. We received no reply to our email and as a last resort had to contact the clean energy council. We never received any information on scaffolding and other options, or even a response to our email to Solargain. At this stage we have paid over $8000, missed an entire summer of solar, had to be home from work several days for the installer and had no benefit at all from the panels for approx 6 months whilst waiting for Solargain to get their act together. We were offered an uninstall and patch job for the invertor and removal of the solar panels. Or have them installed on our deck where they would receive far less sunlight than initially quoted. As solar incentives had dropped again by this stage, we had no option but to stick it out. To add insult to injury. We eventually had the solar panels installed and only obtained 50% of what was on the quote for power generated and we are currently in the process of getting quotes to getting the panels put on where it should be. TL:DR - Solargain stuffed us around, had little to no customer service and essentially pigeon-holed us into accepting their rubbish install. AVOID.

Sep 25,2019Right from the first point of contact and through to installation the whole process was very professional. I wanted the panels to be installed over a cathedral ceiling. I was impressed that the Customer Service representative and the installation team took every care to ensure that everything was done with the greatest of care and attention.

Sep 24,2019No issues with ordering and being informed at all stages of installation, but noticed leak below hot water solar system soon after. Phoned solar gain who dealt with it efficiently. The leak was due to a broken tile right at the top of the roof which I found surprising was not spotted on the day of installation

Whilst there were a couple of hiccups along the way, none of which were caused by Solargain, they were excellent at following these issues up and getting them resolved. I’d have no trouble recommending Solargain to anyone looking for a solar installer.

Sep 19,2019We got our Battery and Solar system installed in June, after having ordered it way back in March, a 3 month wait, which given the current demand for battery and solar systems, is not unexpected, but the communication could have been better. We did find it occasionally difficult to get a hold of our sales guy to get an update on the installation date, the other being that we requested a generator connection installed as well, but on the day the installation contractors used by Solargain were not informed of the additional request, despite the fact that we'd made it very clear several times before hand including during the two inspections that were conducted beforehand. This did eventually get done by the contractors through a separate arrangement and since then everything has been great. For these reasons we've marked it down from 5 stars to 4. When the mandatory government inspection came by to check the quality of the work (necessary if you get a grant and interest free loan from QLD govt), the inspector commended the installers on the quality of the work and that it was one of the best installations they'd come across. Performance wise, the system we have received is fantastic, middle of winter we were getting well into 30kw/hrs generated (well above the estimates), and are making significant savings on our power bill. Thank you.

Sep 19,2019We had an easy experience during the initiation process as my father, who used Solargain for his own installation, and Marcus handled it. Installation was over two days due to weather; that's fine. Since its operation the Solargain system has performed without a hitch, and I've enjoyed installing and monitoring the Solarweb. We're yet to receive an electricity bill. We'll see how the Jinko panels and Fronius inverter operates over the next decade or two.

Sep 18,2019Solargain was great and patience with my quotes and communications, however the installer didn't come as expected (a double booking apparently) and then they came, they cut off the old inverter without checking first about if it was to be rubbish or kept. They also advised of a situation based on assumptions, creating a stressful situation over coming weeks. Communication with that situation died. Overall happy enough with the actual work completed, just not some of the undue stress caused.
