Oct 11,2020I’m happy with the overall installation of the panels etc .. the technicians were very friendly and helpful and professional .. but the app on my phone has not worked and I’ve received some telephone help and an email showing instructions but it’s still not working.. I was told they would charge me for them to come out ??? So I’m a bit disappointed with that.

Oct 07,2020They were very good apart from call back - whenever i had query i had to wait. Had trouble connecting to internet and also took many requests for help. Some people never replied after saying they would and others were more helpful. I ended up reading and re-reading instructions until i could do it without their help.

Oct 05,2020Tom at Solargain is one asset to the company. He is truly amazing and knowledgeable. He advises all the details thoroughly and no secrets pop up out of the blue. The installers that they used were excellent. There electricians need to have a van with all electrical equipment in it rather than an empty van. I can’t fault Solargain other than the poor electricians who are not provided with the equipment to do the job. Trust your staff and give them all the tools of the trade as Solargain you are excellent. Other than the electrical staff not having the equipment. When they have the equipment they do the job extremely well.

Sep 12,2020Overall I would rate the entire experience of getting our system from Solargain as average - good but not great. After comparing a few different quotes I chose Solargain as they were the cheapest for a comparable quality system. If I were to do it again I would probably pay slightly more for a better quality installer however I am very happy with the end result of the system. The customer service I received was great, from the sales rep through to the admin staff and installers. However there were a few issues during the installation. Firstly the installers were subcontractors (Platinum Electricians) rather than direct employees of Solargain. This caught me off-guard however did not prove to be an issue. During the quoting phase I was initially told I could fit 29 panels as we were looking to install as many as we could. I insisted that a physical site inspection and measure was done prior to the installation to ensure they would all fit as planned (the quote was done during COVID lockdown so used only satellite imagery). The measure picked up that I would only fit 26 panels. However on the day of install it was discovered the agreed layout did not fit. Luckily the same number of panels were able to be used but it was frustrating that even after the measure they couldn't get it right. More frustrating is the fact that based on the final layout that was installed, it appears there is actually room to fit at least 2 more panels. Following the install I noticed 2 issued. First was that the isolator cover on the roof was actually overhanging the edge of the roof. Second was that the export limiting was not set up on the inverter (which had I not been an electrical engineer probably wouldn't have been picked up resulting in an install not up to energex standards). I advised Solargain and they arranged for the installers to return and both issues were resolved promptly. I have also noticed that we receive a fair bit of shading in the morning due to a large tree on the far side of our neighbours property. This is something we were never told about and I am hoping during summer this won't be a problem.

Oct 14,2020After what seemed like a lifetime of me procrastinating, swapping details we pulled the trigger! The sales and support staff were very understanding and helped at every stage. When it came to installing our system, the installer was on his own due to illness and college commitments......but he removed our old system and put the new one in place in one day! He was back to hook it all up and bring things online the next day! The best part......we got our bill sometime after and instead of a $600 bill we were over $250 in credit!!!! That's about all you need to know really - very very happy. Would not hesitate to recommend these guys (which if course bi have been doing). Cheers Rob M
