It is important that I am able to trust the company for it's quality and prices and Spectacles Direct certainly do this. I have recommended them to all my spec-wearing family friends and will continue to do so.

Apr 07,2013Handed my frames in for reglazing at 3pm on the Monday and was called on Wednesday at 1.15pm to say they were ready for collection. Very easy to get to showroom and if you're looking for frames they have a huge selection to choose from I wanted Transission lenses on one pair and they phoned me at 5pm on the Monday to say that the pair chosen might not be suitable as they were semi rimless. If I was careful with my glasses I might have stayed with my choice but knowing how I treat my glasses apprecieted the call and suggestion to change. The price, service, advice and speed will mean that I use them again.

Apr 06,2013When selecting lenses/glasses for each requirement received very good advice, directly from an optician. Good clear, easy to see and select, choice of frames across a very wide range of unbranded and designers. Easy to place order and received everything in the time stated. Factor in the price and using these guys is a no brainer. After sales was great, I lost my Computer glasses whilst travelling. One phone call and I had an emergency pair on my desk at work the following day and the full replacement within 5 days. I have no hesitation in giving these guys 5 Stars --

Mar 28,2013My first contact with Specs Direct was two years ago, and I was very impressed by the personal attention and interest shown in my search for ideal frames. I ordered twice, and was extremely satisfied with the service. Now that I am due for my next eye test, I had no hesitation in contacting them again. I received the same personal attention, rapid replies to my questions, and rapid despatch and reeipt of order. I would recommend the company unreservedly. One comment - there must be some way of ordering progressive lenses, although I understand that personal eye measurements are required. Surely this measurement could be obtained from old glasses which I could supply by post.

Mar 25,2013I was introduced to Spectacles Direct (S.D.) a few years ago now. Having had my eyes tested at a well known chain in town , I almost fell over when quoted the price of glasses. "Well Madam, we sell only the best quality frames and our lenses are second to none" They should be gold plated at that price! My first glasses were purchased from that giant "shark" Family and friends noticed them. Compliments were many , but this was followed by horror when they were informed of the cost. A friend told me of S.D. At first I was apprehensive & didn't know what to expect. How can a business that sells glasses run without an optition on site? Easy, once the optition has tested your eyes , you are handed onto the business sharks to sell you over priced frames and lenses. So all you do is get your eyes tested and walk out the shop with your prescription. Yes, you are able to do that, the business have been paid for the test by the NHS. So the prescription is yours. S.D on my first visit were very friendly. I had my doubts and was skeptical about the product as it was half the price. I wear verifocals , so they are a bit more expensive than the other glass for which there are many amazing deals. I was impressed. There is a genuine friendliness when you walk in to S.D. It is a well presented shop and there's plenty room to move around looking at the hundreds of frame choices. My last visit was recently, after a tragic accident with my glasses;of which I will spare you the details! My lenses were checked and deemed to be ok, so all I needed was a new set of legs. Many big shops would have used that opportunity to tell you that the specs were a right off! I was handed a set to look at and continued looking my self for the next 30 minutes. I went a full circle and chose the ones that I had been handed! (could have saved myself half an hour). My glasses were ready the next morning. I am sure if I had turned up when they opened I would have had them the same day. I suggest you cut out the middle man , don't let the shark bite. Treat yourself , and take your first visit to S.D. and you will never look back.

Mar 24,2013A friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The girl who fitted my glasses was very efficient and professional. She took her time and obviously wanted to get everything just right. It was really nice to have her full attention and she took greeat pride in what she was doing. Would return again without a second thought and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Mar 18,2013Words cannot describe how fantastic these guys are. I ordered a pair of Ray Bans last year and emailed the guys at spectacles direct for some advice. The replies were second to none! When I spoke to Wayne about wanting the most expensive, thinner lenses he strongly recommend I go for the cheaper, less thinner lenses as the overall outcome, in my case, would be a better optic and ultimately, save myself some money. This is an absolute rarity in today's sales driven retailers who would usually be out to take as much cash as possible. After losing the same pair twice I was offered the third pair at a discount. They were all sent out with lightning fast delivery - an absolute god send for anyone who knows how infuriating it is when you are without your glasses. Upon recently returning to Scotland I visited their store in Edinburgh to have a pair mended, it was done there and then with no hassle. I ended up buying a second pair while in store on the Thursday afternoon and they had arrived by the Saturday morning - unbelievable. I could go on forever about how fantastic this team are, but seriously, they are the best. I can't recommend then enough and wish more of my friends had glasses so I could send them Spectacle Direct-ward! I dont think I'll be buying my specs from anywhere else, which is a bold statement as I am a man who takes great pride in his eyewear!
