Jan 04,2025No problem with regard to service of stairlift, however stairlift was left partway up the stairs with footrest, arms and seat all up! Luckily, I was with the customer to get the stairlift back into place and put everything back in order otherwise customer would have struggled to do it.

The installation was completed by a very competent person who gave a very helpful demonstration when the work was complete. The booklet about the Stannah looks s if it will be helpful in the event of a problem occurring. It was installed 12 days ago and so far we are happy with it and finding it helpful.

Jan 03,2025Friendly positive advice from first enquiry. No pressure for commitment experienced. Home assessment efficient and fully informative. Due to the unknown date of my proposed complex ankle surgery flexibility for installation was essential. Fast track fitting was advised and documented. My final confirmation to proceed with the installation came close to Christmas/NewYear breaks. Somehow before Santa came down the chimney arrangements were completed to install my stair lift. Installation team confirmed arrival time and politely efficiently carried out the work. I am grateful to all levels of the team Stannah for my seamless experience. How will I get along after my surgery….. who knows. I’m just reassured that I will be able to access my home and attempt an independent rehabilitation over the next few months. Dec 31,2024We have a straight staircase with a landing that introduces a 90 degree bend 2 steps form the top. The Stannah salesman persuaded us that we didn't need a curved staircase but that a straight one would be fine for my 88yr old mother who was returning home following a fall and fractured neck of femur. She would be able to get off at bend near the top and walk the last 2 steps. This would also mean quicker installation for my mother who was about to leave hospital. An occupational therapist then assessed and said that that approach would be unsafe. We therefore arranged another visit from Stannah who then arranged our original request with price increasing from £3100 to £5995. The installation was delayed and eventually went ahead nearly 6 weeks after the original salesman visited. Half way through the installation the installer realised that they had the wrong (straight) staircase and that one was removed and taken away and the curved staircase installed a week later, approximately 7 weeks after the original request. The product itself seems excellent so far, but the company appears shambolic. My mum was stuck upstairs for about 3 weeks. There was no offer of compensation.

Jan 05,2025Excellent service from start to finish. Paul came out to measure up and provide a quote. Extremely polite, courteous, knowledgable and friendly. No hard sell but explained the whole process and ultimately provided a very competitive quote. He came to see us on Monday 7 December and although we really wanted to have the install by Christmas he wouldn’t promise us but obviously pulled a few strings as the installation was done on Friday 20 December. Again the staff that came to do the installation were extremely professional and provided a fantastic service. The stairlift itself has provided a new lease of life and have made life much easier
