I was able to then consider the options before deciding to visit them , and have a demo on a bike , and finally decide which model would suit me . I am pleased to have purchased through a shop and feel very confident that they will provide me with any service I may require regarding the bike in future. Dec 07,2021Very helpful, professional company, Matt alerted me quickly when a bike of the model/size I wanted was coming into stock and allowed me to reserve it. Delivery on a pallet was quite something to behold, arriving upright, fully wrapped in black like the monolith out of 2001! The safe packaging continued to the inside, bike was perfectly wrapped and protected, both bike and accessories were in perfect order. The bike has been a fantastic machine so far (Haibike Trekking 7) - the motor has given me my 20-year-old legs back and it will tackle hills, tarmac, forest track, and gravel/dirt trails without skipping a beat.

On my visit to Surge Bikes I felt that they were much more attentive to my requirements, and were very good at explaining the differences between the various bikes on offer, recommending a style of bike that I hadn't been offered elsewhere. I ended up buying a bike with a lot more confidence, and I am happy to say that I love the bike! Dec 02,2021Matt and the team at Surge Bikes have been amazing - from the initial online enquiry, to a well worth quick 100 mile trip down to a see a bike all set up and ready for a test drive on arrival. Toughest decision was to select the complimentary accessories with the offer that was on at the time to the point of being offered to take it away while I was there! Best decision I have made ever! Orbea Gain 40 is awesome and can’t stay off it, and can now keep up the group on the 70k rides with no issues at all..

Dec 02,2021I recently ordered a Orbea e bike, which was from start to finish a easy experience. I spoke to the staff who were very knowledgeable and helpful. Advising me on helmets, the correct bike lock and the free spares I could get with the bike I bought. Though it was all done via email and phone I felt that I had the right help and advise. The bike has been an absolute joy, so easy to set up and ride. So light for an ebike even as I bought the fully loaded version. Thanks to all the staff for your help.

Faultless customer service, particularly from Michael who spent the best part of a couple of hours showing and explaining to a novice like me all the ins and outs of the Orbea ebike which I very recently purchased. I had driven all the way down from London after having spoken to Matt on the phone who hadn't given me a hard sell. It really was worth the effort and I had a great experience, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them. Very knowledgeable team as well as being very patient and polite - a real pleasure to buy from them. The 10% boost was the icing on the cake.

We recently purchased 2 Orbea Gain bikes and Surge offered lots of valuable advice around tyre choice and groupset (as we wanted gravel bikes). Probably the best bike shop experience I have had in a long time (and I'm super fussy). We travelled two and a half hours to make a personal visit! So: bikes are great, service was great, advice was excellent, very supportive and a great cup of coffee too...added bonus the bike colour match our camper van (told you I was fussy!). Top firm.

Nov 10,2021I recently bought an Orbea Rise M-10 eMTB from Surge Bikes. I called a number of dealers and from the initial call I could tell that I was going to get an excellent service from Surge Bikes. They were so helpful and informative on the telephone that I decided the extra distance to get to them would be worthwhile, and I wasn't disappointed. Matt and the whole team were so honest, attentive, and keen to help and advise. Although I had done some research, I wasn't 100% sure which bike I wanted as in the current climate eMTB's are just not available to test. Surge Bikes had the Orbea Rise, which was high on my list, and they had one in my size. I was able to take it for a test ride around the car park, which is of sufficient size to be able to get a reasonable feel for the bike. This, along with their patience and advice made my decision easy. I bought the bike there and then. They didn't try to sell me any extras, instead you get free accessories to 10% of the value of the bike through the Surge Boost deal. I wanted to upgrade the battery level display and rather than just take my money, they advised that a retro fit for an upgraded display was expensive and didn't enhance the display that much. They suggested that I just buy a GPS device with much more functionality. When I returned to pick up the bike the following day, armed with my new GPS device, they even took the time to explain how it worked and set it up for me. I cannot recommend the team at Surge Bikes more highly. I felt that they were all genuinely engaged in wanting to ensure I bought the right bike for me and not just making a sale. A very refreshing quality.

Jan 31,2022Purchased a Tern e-cargo bike online from Surge, with a good overall experience. Pre-order arrangements were clear, and the Surge Boost programme made a previously inconceivable purchase suddenly possible. Matt at Surge was very patient in explaining, recommending and helping me throughout, despite my anxieties over some card detail issues. (My recommendation is to call your bank ahead of attempting your purchase with a card, it may save you a few days!) The bike shipped well in a sturdy box, hemmed in with bubble wrap and cushioning boxes, so despite its journey, it and the accessories arrived to me in pristine order. I'm pretty bike familiar, so assembly was nothing major, but Surge also has a detailed info page on how to set your bike up following shipping. Despite the minor headache of some payment issues, and the pallet delivery being inherently less convenient than every day deliveries (not a Surge issue at all, as they use your most local pallet delivery company) I would have no hesitation in recommending Surge Bikes for an e bike order.
