Aug 17,2021Went to look at EBikes and came out having purchased a Merida Espresso 400! Matt was very helpful. I was able to try out a few bikes which were in stock (a miracle in itself in the present climate!) and settled on the Merida. They were able to reserve the bike for me for a week (without any deposit). I went back the following week to complete the purchase and choose my free accessories. The bike was delivered to my door a few days later by another Matt who spent time making sure the saddle was the correct height and showing me how everything worked. Very impressed with Surge's service and am very pleased with my bike too!

Aug 02,2021Surge Bikes is an excellent bike dealer, I ordered a Tern GSD end of June and received my bike in under 1.5 weeks. The bike included the Surge Boost that allowed me to get several accessories included in the bike price. No other dealer has this offer. Matt was excellent in explaining the process of ordering and shipment throughout and rushed my bike to me. The level of personal service is amazing. The one thing I didn't expect was the level of packing Surge does - its really well packed inside the box and parts packed extremely carefully and thoroughly as well. This was important as I ordered a few weeks before from a different dealer and they shipped the bike damaged as a result of poor packing. It would have been good to understand that Surge ships their bikes on a wooden pallet for further shipment protection, which living in a flat was challenging to get from the street drop off up to my flat on my own - this was well over 100kg! Something to be mindful of and get a friend to help when you receive your order. All in all the experience from Surge Bikes is excellent and I will buy only from them on my next bike purchase. ----------- Matt contacted me after I posted this review and they have already been reviewing their overall sales and follow up process to make it even better. Honestly, if you're buying a bike you shouldn't look elsewhere - customer service is the best I've ever seen!

Jul 28,2021I have bought 2 bikes from Surge, one last year for myself and another recently for my husband. On both occasions Matt at Surge Bikes was incredibly helpful advising on the appropriate bike in my price bracket. He spent time going through the pros and cons of different makes and options. I bought a Forme and a Merida bike. He then arranged packaging and shipping to Jersey within 2 weeks of ordering. Removed VAT for export. The bike arrived on a Pallet and well wrapped. I only needed to add pedals. Very slick, friendly, honest and reliable service. Highly recommended

Jul 28,2021We received great service from Matt at Surge Bikes. We visited to have a look at replacing our 8 year old e-bikes. Matt took the time to explain the pros and cons of various bikes and allowed to test ride several of them. We were there for about 2 hours and not once were we pressured to make a purchase. We did eventually order 2 bikes which when combined with the “Surge Boost” were great value. We collected the bikes 4 weeks later and they were very well packaged for us to store in our motorhome. Well done Surge Bikes.

Matt and his team were really helpful when I was looking to get an eMTB and talked through the different options explaining the pros and cons. Finally went for an Orbea Rise. The promised delivery date came and went by Matt kept me informed of the progress. When the bike was ready and I went to pick it up, the handover process was very thorough. So glad I found Surge bikes and the service offered has been excellent. And the Orbea Rise has been a whole lot of fun as well!
