I was many years behind on my taxes and was pleased with the outcome the Tax Defense Network gave me. I no longer have that cloud hanging over my head.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They did absolutely nothing to help us. All they did is make our situation MUCH WORSE! They got us financed for the nearly $5000 fee (in the end with finance charges we will pay around $7000). So we have been making the monthly payments for their fee. The only thing they did was get a lien placed on us.They convinced us that making a payment plan with the IRS was not the right thing to do and they could get our debt reduced to 0. Had we made the plan with the IRS we could have made the same monthly payment we are making now for their fee and avoided a lien. Now we owe even more to the IRS because of interest charges plus we are out the money for the fees. We feel like we have been scammed. Also whenever you call they just talk you into thinking they are still working on your case and say to give them a few days and they will call you. They NEVER do. All the while those interest charges just keep adding up. We thought we were aware enough to not get scammed, but I guess we were wrong. *Update. Someone from the company contacted us and basically said they did what they said they would do. This is not true they did absolutely nothing they said they would do. I also forgot to add iny original review that part of the service we paid for included tax preparation for 2020 taxes. I had to constantly bother them to get them to file them, which they finally did at the last minute. I reviewed them before signing them and caught a few mistakes which they had to fix. Unfortunately I missed a mistake made on our State taxes and now we have been informed that we owe state taxes (+interest now). This company has cost us a lot of money. Not to mention the sleepless nights and feelings of pure anger and embarrassment that we allowed someone to scam us. I am writing this review to hopefully save someone else from being lured into this scam. We want to find proper legal counsel to hopefully recoup some of what we lost, but find it hard to trust anyone now.

Worst experience ever. They prey on people. Blow your phone up initially you finally get the consultation then they transfer you to whoever tells you what that the cost is like 5000. I immediately can’t do it. I can’t afford it tell them no and begin emailing Nathan my original person to ensure it’s canceled before it even starts. I couldn’t pay 400 a month it’s ridiculous I said no immediately. Nobody responds. You call they tell you there is no manager. No department to help with complaints or cancellations. Only sales. I had to text because of course when they were soliciting me they would call email and text. Nathan Leighty finally emails me back that it’s canceled. Why the hell 3 weeks later some stupid special special finance charge appears on my debit card? FOR 381.65 I call my bank no idea come to find out it’s some company from tax defense call them they are rude and tell me OH WELL THEY WILL DEAL WITH MY BANK. It completely overdrew my account and took money I had for other expenses. All the while I’m literally emailing calling texting every damn day because what people continue to charge someone for a service they declined and ARENT receiving $ received ? Scammers and trash people. In a time where most are struggling this is what that do. The worst communication and customer service ever. They are no better than scam artists from Nigeria who steal your information. Don’t use them at all. Don’t even get the consult it’s lies good reviews are LIES. They have now taken about 600 dollars from me for absolutely nothing. I’m still not refunded and have disputed the charge with my bank. I’ve accumulated 150 additional fees on top of the 381.65. It’s really awful and unfair. I have shown my bank all the messages where I never agreed, was told it was canceled before it even wouldve began. They are a horrible company

When I originally hired Tax Defense Network I was assigned to what I assumed a tax professional and he was horrible. He did nothing for two years and a couple days after I finished paying my installment agreement for there service he calls me and says that all he can do to resolve an over $20,000 tax debt is set up a payment plan. I called and complained and a different agent looked threw my taxes and found a year where my taxes were done wrong and said she'd file an amendment. For over 6 months I heard nothing so I called and that agent no longer worked there so I called to my new tax agent and she said she was working on my case. I'd email her every so often and would get a response of I'll call you tomorrow. She would hardly ever call. It was so bad that I started questioning her about if she really worked at Tax Defense Network because I thought she might have been a scammer. Finally she transfers me to another agent that FINALLY after 5 years and $5000 she resolves my case. I couldn't have made this story up if I wanted to.

I used your services at a cost of $5,000 to get my amount owed lowered, after you where paid I was told that Virginia will not negotiate nor reduce any amount owed. I feel mislead by your company! And then there was NO amount reduce from my federal tax. All that was done was a payment arrangement was made with Federal and State, I could have done that myself. I am not at all happy with your service that I OVERPAID for! I want to speak with someone who can explain why this happened and I feel you owe me a refund not a total refund but I feel like I was taken. I am a veteran and not at all happy! I will be contacting the BBB and the Veterans Administration if I do not hear from you in a timely manner. Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you! I'm not happy at all. I'm having to pay the full price of my owed taxes and payments that are just to dang high. Why do you tbi k I'm where Im at now is bc I wasn't financially able to pay it. I thought this co.pany was suppose to help and make.it easier but they didn't do anything g but make my life.more complicated and I have no idea how I will be able.to survive. Not happy at all.

I was extremely pleased with the results of the company. In particular, representative Sara Altaie did a great job - checked in very regularly with status updates and helped to secure a better settlement agreement with the IRS than I had anticipated. The IRS messed up the administration of the agreement - IRS didn't adhere to its own written terms in the settlement; but, Sara and the company got it fixed at no additional cost. It's a relief that the prior worry about the IRS is gone.
