teksavvy used to have advantage of offering low speed internet at a low charge. But now the other companies offer cheaper price for high speed internet, teksavvy seems ridiculous to offer low speed internet at a high price. Once you start the plan, they made it hard to switch to a cheaper one if they have a promotion. I stayed with with them for a few years and now I'm leaving.
Extremely frustrating to deal with teksavvy so far. Moved to a new home and had set up an internet connection date with over a months notice, only to be told it could take 4 more days to get the internet activated and they wouldn't even guarantee that. Their call center is easy to get ahold of and seem friendly enough, but ultimately can't deliver on anything they've said. I was told twice that because my service is piggypacking off of another provider (Rogers), teksavvy has to wait for Roger's to activate my connection and mistakenly nobody asked Roger's to activate it. I work from home so this has been a complete fail. If you're looking for reliable service, I'd look elsewhere.
I’ve had a very frustrating experience with TekSavvy. While the people in the call center are always friendly and polite, the service regarding getting my internet set up has been horrible. I’ve been waiting 15 days for an internet connection, and the technician simply did not show up. I’ve called daily, and while the customer service representatives are nice, they are unable to provide any clear answers or updates on when the technician will come because it's handled by an external vendor. This situation has been incredibly inconvenient, especially since I work from home and rely on a stable internet connection. Right now, I’m left using my phone’s data or spending an hour commuting to the office every day because I can’t work from home. It’s extremely frustrating, and I’m very disappointed in the lack of communication and resolution.
Saw TechSavvy’s giant billboards everywhere in Winnipeg and thought I would give them a try after years of unhappy service from you know who. Definitely didn’t work for me. Waited the wntire day at home on two separate occasions for an installer to come. No installer or even a call, on either day. Spent countless hours on phone & chat as well, all a complete waste of my time. Took another month ish to get a refund, including more calls & chat. All in all a big waste of time. And I thought Sh*w was bad lol. Not sure what’s wrong with this outfit as they look professional but they were far from that in my experience. Good luck if you try em!
Just signed up with Tech Savvy last month. Awful. Internet has been down 7 days of 30. Call centre people are nice, but takes days to get a technician out. Had one come out, fixed a filter, internet down again the next day. Called again, had to wait 2 days, internet started working so service call was cancelled and ticket closed. Internet stopped working after a few hours, now have to wait another 2 days. Very very painful. I don't even need great internet, just need it to work for browsing. Sadly it feels like you have to pay and arm and a leg for internet in this country, you try and get a deal and this is what you end up with. On the verge of cancelling again now, crawling back to Bell. At least their service worked 24/7/365. One more chance I guess.
Good service but I'm on a fixed income I moved to a area that didn't have them so I had to cancel them. I am in a wheelchair on ODSP so no room to move on finances. Before 30 days they debited my account on the 1st for the modem. So I rushed and sent the modem back at first they said they had to check the modem then they said I would get a full refund for 3 days. On the 3rd day I called and they said the modem was damaged so no refund. They wouldn't give me proof just kept my money. So they are making it hard to eat this month
I started service this company and had Many problems getting connected but once they got a technician to my house they were able to fix the problem. I work from home so I need internet service. This company suddenly cut my service on week day an then ask to me prepay for month before I could get my service reconnected. Knowing that I had no choice but to prepay because I needed to work. This company is not what it seems, when something is to good's to be true it usually is stick with regular providers don't put your self at risk. I put my job on the line and now I have to find new provider in the middle of my work week. Stay away for own good.
I like how I read these comments from teksavy saying sorry but yet it's still happening to the new customers. That is some B.S . If you got the box do they give full refund if you cancel and still have no internet from them?
Absolute clowns! Home internet installation service booked last night that never showed with no reason given. Rescheduled for today but also never showed. Customer service have no answers and didn't seem to care that I cancelled.
No hassle with TekSavvy. Always have a promotion going on, although I would love to see a better deal on their promotional deals.
I'm very happy with my service with you no problems no interruptions 5 stars
Good service for a reasonable price.
So far yall have stood behind your products and services. Although, trying to get a replacement fiber optic modem was more trouble than it needed to be, it got done. I totally understand that people rellace them when it isnt necessary and they cost a pretty penny. No issues since. Prices are nice too, it was a good choice for us to switch from Cogeco.
Great internet
what i like about this operator is a 24/h service and talking with mature agents.
Awful service and customer service. Awful service and customer service I called in because I am not getting range 12 feet away from my modem. Their suggestion is I go buy $100 Wi-Fi extender that’s their only suggestion. I said well I might as well switch companies and they said OK. You get what you pay for the customer service is absolutely awful. Don’t expect any kind of respect or kindness from these people, oh and don’t expect any range on your Wi-Fi either
I applied online for installation and a worker called me back. We both selected a time for an engineer to install, choosing the 17th of Oct, and the modem arrives the on the night before. I called on the 17th when no engineer arrived and was then told that there was an issue and we would have to wait for confirmation. I call everyday to enquire if the issue is fixed, this continues everyday for a week before today Teksavy telling me that there services are not available in my building. This has been an absolute waste of my time, the next proposed date to get installed from a competitor is now another 7 days away
This is probably the worst internet provider I’ve ever had. Internet outages constantly, customer service doesn’t help you at all , just say unplug it and plug it back in and it still won’t work. It will randomly start working a couple hours later. If you work from home, I’d go else where
Worst customer service ever!!! Been two days with no internet…… we switch from Oxio to TekSavvy and were told to call or email when our current provider was cancelled and they would hook up our new service….. they tried hooking it up before we were disconnected from Oxio so now they claim they are waiting on Roger’s to do the hookup….. lost thousands in online business sales due to no internet….. they basically said oh wel we have to wait for Roger’s….. why a joke of a company….. go elsewhere for internet service!!
