We had a free termite inspection set up. When the tech came, he tried to charge us 200 dollars. We explained we had a free inspection. He left, very upset. What a ripoff of a company!
Thank goodness we did not go with Terminix. We had a rat infestation that Terminix said we had to rip out all ceilings and walls to get rid of. We called another company here called Pest Exit. They came that day and had the rats gone within 2 weeks! Saved $$$ Do not use Terminix.
The WORST company ever! They do NOT keep appointments and if you call to find out why your service person hasn't shown up, you are kept on perpetual hold, and 30 minutes later, they disconnect you!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! THEY SUCK! We canceled our contract with them after repeatedly having issues with people coming to service our home, or, to be more accurate, NOT servicing our home. They do not live up to their contract!!!3
I recently had 1 year contract with terminix. The contract ended Jan 2. The day after I made my first payment. I called specifically to cancel the contract and the customer rep asked if I wanted to continue the service for $68 per month, I said NO thank you. Two days ago, I receive a bill for $68. I called to get an explanation of the bill and to cancel the bill. I was told I would receive a call in 48 hours, no one has called nor reached out to me.
It's now 9 months into a "bundled" contract that disallows court action and/or a class action lawsuit (I know there are so many who would join in on that!) I have been hounded by phone calls, texts and emails for months saying I owe them money. I do not. They have about driven me crazy. My last service call was cancelled after I waited for four (4) hours - later told due to nonpayment, but then told I should have received a refund. Honestly, Terminix (Rentokil) should be put out of business due to harassment and unscrupulous business practices. I hope no one else has to endure what I have since May 2024. They charge and hound you for money for ineffective services after multiple pleas for help. Bogus company!!
I had the misfortune to end up with Terminix almost two years ago for bedbugs in our home. Despite treatment, the ornery little buggers' eggs hatched twice and both times they hatched inside my clothing. Terminix never showed up when appointments were made, no apologies, no real communication and to top it all off, the first guy who showed up (a helper, I guess), gave me a hot smile then robbed me. I lost my mother's heirloom necklace of coins in 24kt gold electroplate plus a gorgeous peridot necklace. I feel fortunate they didn't take anything else, and it hurts to realize there are people out there who will take advantage of any situation because they wanted me out of the house before doing any real work. Then, when I named the thief, company refused to deal with me. We got another company and there were extremely professional. Terminix is not at all professional.

I did not renew my contract but they visited my property without my permission. They then charged me for the visit. When I rang to challenge this they said that I had to cancel the contract. I wrote to them three months ago asking for an explanation but still have not had a response. We have had a contract for many years and have spent thousands of dollars with them. Their customer service is appalling and their treatment do not work.
Did not complete any of the items in my quote to remove a nocturnal animal from my attic. Did not install the one-way exit door. Did not place pheromone ball. Did not place flashing. Did not complete 5-8 day trapping service. Set a trap for 2 nights then never returned. On the first day, they sprayed a can of foam around my doorframe and an exterior water faucet (these were NOT entry points for the possum; it was entering through a large hole it made on my roof and that they quoted service for) instead of addressing the actual problem area. I called multiple times and finally gave up and canceled after 2 weeks with no service. The manager apologized and promised a full refund, but they never refunded my money, people I spoke to claimed to have no record of my being owed a refund, and I had to buy my own trap, trap the possum myself, and then pay another company to repair my roof that was already quoted & paid for to be repaired by Terminix but they never performed any work. Total scam. Pursuing legal action.
What a mistake I made choosing Terminix. After shelling out almost $700 for the initial termite inspection (I knew I had subterranean termites) and the installation of the inground termiticide dispensers, I agreed to pay $99 a month the first year and $29 a month for subsequent years. A few months after signing I had to update the expiration date of the card they had on file. The nightmare began shortly after. For several months they failed to charge my account because of a software glitch in the merger of their company with another. I got emails and snail mail which I immediately addressee. Much to my surprise they couldn't find me as a customer in the system. Unreturned phone calls, inept people and finally got someone who was able to locate my account, verified the card info but only billed one back month. Today I get another email asking me to call AGAIN to make two back payments. I am so done with this company.
Terminix is exactly what everyone has said. They make extravagant promises, claiming to protect your home while only offering lip service. They are so unprofessional, and they just want your money.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. They just want you to sign up and pay; then you will never hear from them. Managers profit from their actions. As they save more for the company to get their bonus, you, the customer, pay the price. They are the greatest con artists, so proceed with caution.
I retained Terminix for its Rodent Exclusion service. They bill annually for this service. In mid-November i discovered rodents in my home so I contacted them to address the problem. 5 or 6 hours of phone calls, 4 non-returned calls that were promised to be returned and 2 visits from service "professionals" who at the end of the day were not licensed to provide exclusion services, my problem still has not been addressed and I still have mice in my house.
4 months without getting a solution for my roaches and rodents infestation. Every single visit a different excuse. Don’t even bother to use them
I Cancelled my membership months ago and still got a bill and the customer service rep said they have no record of my cancellation and if I don’t pay I’ll be sent to collections. They must use water to spray because I still had the same issues as before they came TWICE . Then wanted someone to come out and look at noise in the attic the lady found a small amount of rodent feces and the lady said it was urgent to start treatment due to us having a baby and the price to add traps and add insulation would be 4,000$ and I had two weeks to agree before it got “ so bad and dangerous to the babies health” that the price would jump from 4k to 7k if not taken care of in 2 weeks. So I agreed out of anxiety but was able to think of very young through once she left and Texted the rep on her personal phone number she gave and once I said I want to cancel she never responded. Got a second and THIRD opinion and was told there was no rush and using regular bait would do the trick and it DID. Terminix must work off of commission using scare tactics trying to have us agree to a 4k job that I got done for 275$ from another highly reputable company. DO NOT USE TERMINIX. CROOKS.
3 times scheduling and nobody showed up. I called after it was confirmed and the telephonist asked Did you call Larry?? Even if they confirm someone has to call their technician otherwise he is not coming. And nobody told me I had to call Larry. And to continue - when I got the phone of Larry and tried to call nobody called me. Terrible service!
The worst experience! Had an iPad new taken from my home! Was never allowed to be in the home to watch them as they sprayed! I was disrespected by the branch manager as he was yelling at me! They refused to give me my refund back after they canceled my services and took money out of my account a week later as I was told I would not be charged! I will never refer them to anyone not even my worst enemy! They came in three times and none of the times I was allowed to be in my own home. Called another company and it allowed to be in my home the whole time they do what they need to! Poor excuse of a company!
My name is Sheila Love-Cash and I want to say to anyone even thinking about using Terminix please please be smart and read the negative reviews because they are 100%true. Normally I read reviews before I get a service but unfortunately this time I didn’t and I am literally paying the price for not reading them. Let me start at the beginning which would be my appointment to have my house serviced I waited all morning changed my day around for this appointment to only find out my appointment had been canceled by Terminix and rescheduled the only thing is they forgot to notify me and when I called the representative said they dropped the ball. Next is payment you get told one price at inspection only to be told different prices by different representatives of Terminix. But the kicker is they will try to charge your bank account and haven’t done any services at your home I had to file a claim with my bank because they are trying to charge me $136 a month and haven’t done a damn thing. It must sound to the readers like I’ve been dealing with this rip off company for years nope only 2 months please stay away this has been the worse experience of my life. Oh just checked my email they are trying to process a payment again when no service has been rendered on phone with bank to make sure they get absolutely nothing next step file a complaint!! In addition as I read these reviews I noticed Terminix who should be terminated only respond to the positive ones hmmm is that the company posting the positive ones hmmm probably!! Ok viewers new update: as I told you previously earlier this week they tried to go in my account again and they couldn’t get in well low and behold yesterday morning I get a phone call from a rude manager named Tyler he referred to me as “dear” 4 times which I politely asked him to stop but you know what they say IGNORANCE IS BLISS isn’t it suspicious though once they can’t get paid or debit your account someone can finally call you after 2 months hmmm!!
Signed up, wasn't happy because we kept seeing bugs. Told them, they did nothing. I cancelled, they kept billing me. They now sent me to collections saying it was a 1 year agreement. I never signed up or gave verbal agreement to a 1 year agreement. How can they expect to take my collections for some "made up" agreement? I think we should all start a civil case on these practices.
This company is a joke and are only looking to rip everyone off. They came to my house 3 times for roaches and spray a few areas and that’s all. I asked them to move the fridge to make sure there were none behind or under it and they said it wasn’t necessary. Over $200 later and I still have them. They won’t refund me the money. They also overdrafted my account twice in the same week for charging me for services I never asked for and taking my monthly payment out twice in one week. Using a local pest control company and sure enough he said roaches are in the motor of my fridge. And they are a lot cheaper. Terminix should be shut down they are scam artists
