Terminix no showed twice for a scheduled inspection for bat removal. When I tried to get information through their customer service line about the no shows and to verify the appointment, they were of little help. I was told there was no supervisor or local dispatch that I could talk to. They also later claimed to have reached the technician and that he confirmed the inspection appointment, and sadly he again was a no show within the time frame I was told.
contacted Terminix for a termite inspection and was told they couldn't provide a quote over the phone, only onsite. What if the home doesn't have termites? This seems like a tactic to overcharge once they are there. I then called a smaller company, and they immediately provided a quote for the inspection. Terminix's practices seem unethical. I will never use them again.
Actually they deserve no stars but wouldn’t let me write a review unless I gave them one star. Worst company I have ever dealt with. I called regarding mice in my basement but agreed to pest spraying even though I have only seen 2 bugs in my house in a year. The plan was a technician would place traps and poison enclosed in a container (to protect my pets) in my basement and also spray for bugs inside and outside to keep me from getting any bugs. When I asked how much this would cost he said $225 initially. He said they will come quarterly to replace traps/poison and spray. I said how much for that and he said $67. The contract actually said $67 a month not per spray. He misled me. When the technician came she said I’m here to spray your house for pests. I said to her you know I don’t have any pests except for mice. That’s my main problem the spraying was added on as an extra. She seemed surprised and said well we can fix that too. I told her we are not fixing it too; it is the problem and the spraying was just an add on. She goes to her truck and brings in an armload of snap traps to which I said you can’t put those in my house as I have pets. I told her that I was told the traps would be enclosed in a container. She apologized and said she was not aware of this and had none on her truck. She sprayed and left promising to return in a few days with traps in containers. I decided I did not want to continue with this company so according to the contract you have 3 days to cancel. I called the 800 number for Terminex immediately after the technician left and was told that they would cancel the contract and send me an email confirming that it was canceled. The next morning when I checked I had not received the email. I was concerned because when I initially signed the contract I received a copy of my contract by email immediately. I decided to read the contract and see what it said regarding the method to cancel a contract. The contract says you must either send a telegram, or mail or hand deliver a written cancellation. So I drove to the address indicated on the contract only to find the doors locked with no mailbox or doorbell. I went to UPS and paid to have it overnighted to same address and obtain signature even though there probably won’t be anyone there to sign for it. I just wanted proof that I had tried to cancel in time in the correct way. I called back to corporate headquarters and they said it was canceled but the office listed on my contract would have to email me a confirmation. When I asked when I would receive this email I was told whenever someone shows up at that office. I tried to send an email to corporate headquarters as listed on the internet only to receive a message that the emailed failed to be delivered. Unbelievable. So I’ve paid $225 for insects I don’t have and no fix on my mice problem that I do have and I can’t get a confirmation that my contract has been cancelled after 3 calls, driving out of my way to a closed office, and emailing to a listed email that doesn’t work.
Terminex must train their employees to be dishonest. We were told our home was INFESTED with rats and needed a full exclusive system and massive trapping. After a month and a bill for over $7,500 Terminex found ONE rodent! The real infestation was Terminex....
Avoid at all costs. After multiple visits, without success, we were told our house was tricky to place termite traps around so we decided not to go through with it. I called to cancel and they said it had been done. Then I got a bill. Called a second time to cancel and they said it WAS canceled. Got another bill. Called again and they said it was canceled again. They weren't sure how I was getting billed. Got another bill. I wrote to them to cancel. By this point, they had wasted so much of my time, I was not happy. Called AGAIN (3 calls + 1 letter by now) and she ensured me she had deleted everything from my account. I asked to speak to the most senior manager they have to ensure it was canceled. I received another bill -- this time it says they have the right to report me to a credit agency. THEY HAVE NEVER DONE ANY WORK AT MY HOUSE. Not once. I've reported them to the BBB but people should know if they call to have these guys come out, they may be billed for work that isn't being done for months. I'm not sure if it's gross incompetence or complete lack of business ethics but suspect it's both. Avoid Terminix at all costs.
My 80 year old Mother was talked into signing a contract for mice and charged a fee of $109 without any service. She did not understand what she was signing , so I contacted Terminix to cancel service and asked them to send me an email confirming this had been done. There has been no written response. They refuse to let me speak with a manager. This is to the point of elder abuse what they are doing. My poor mother cried her self to sleep because she didn't understand what she had done. She already has a contract with another company and was confused at the time. I even emailed them asking for proof and have yet to get a response.
Terminix. really disappointed for the bundles i bought and service i received by trained technicians, they are not trained to do what they promised they are trained to sell more products for same issues you hire them for ,real disappointed please do your research before hiring Terminix.
BUYER BEWARE!!!! LITERALLY the biggest scam ever! We saw one mouse and decided to be proactive. Called Terminix because we didn't think they we could really trust smaller companies. Signed a one year contract with an $250 initial visit cost. During the initial visit, they didn't have bait traps, so the tech put down one old school snapping trap with a few glue traps, none of which were placed where we saw the mouse. The tech pretended to spay the outside for other pests. I say pretended because the next day I saw a couple of spider webs with spiders in them and active wasp nests (both of which were on the pest list that they were supposed to treat for). I had 72 hours to cancel, so I called to cancel and the operator tried every trick in the book to get me to wait 48 hours for a "management response" knowing that it would've taken me out of the 72 hour window. I asked for a refund for the initial visit since they failed to complete the tasks properly. I was completely ignored, so ultimately I paid $250 for a $1 mouse trap and about $5 worth of glue traps. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
A month of emails without a single response. No response to text messages. Half done work with no resolution in sight. HUGE mistake hiring this company.
Quick to charge exorbitant prices, but slow, or fail to respond to customer calls for service. Our yard was treated for mosquitos and we were assured they would come and retreat as needed. There as been no reduction in mosquitos, we are covered in bites, and they fail to show up for scheduled appointments. They give a variety of excuses, but no service. Basically I am paying monthly for nothing. We will be canceling.
Called to have appointment set up and as the day they are supposed to be here between times they are not. I call to find out what is going on and they are behind. I chose this company due to great reviews and high stars but obviously they are not what they are to be. I get no call stating that they are gonna be late or anything. Poor service for those who actually need your help and you start this way! BYE BYE now don’t need the help from this company.
Billed me for something they cannot explain after I paid my account a year in advance. They refuse to issue a refund. I will be cancelling service at the end of the current contract. Very poor customer service.
This company is freaking joke!!! They told me they would continue to come out if I continue see bugs. I called and called they made appointments and never came out. I have called and stayed on the phone for hours and still no resolution! Had to cancel and find someone else a complete waste of our time.

I set up service on a monthly Pest Free 365 autopay plan. While I was able to create the account and set everything up online to the point that the Terminix website accepted payment, I am unable to access the site at all. It doesn't recognize me as a customer. With about thirty minutes notice two days later, I received a text message stating that the tech was on her way, not so. I raced home to get her but no one showed up. While I was home, she showed up hours later to begin the first service. I again attempted to access the online portal, still my address was not recognized, again, despite them having my payment information, address, and debiting my account. I asked the tech about what she was doing and voiced my request, to go after spiders, wasps, hornets, and carpenter bees. She told me to by an additive to the stain for my deck and that would take care of my carpenter bee problem, did nothing about any of it despite the plan I chose covering all of those. Once completed, inside, she went outside and sprayed around the house for, ants, that's it, ants! We don't have an ant problem and never have, it's all spiders and stinging things. Yesterday (06/05/4) I received a message stating that the tech would be here today (06/06/24) for service. Not sure why as she was here two weeks ago. Today (06/06/24) I received three texted messages informing that my tech would arrive between 1:00 and 3:00pm. I'm home, I'm waiting, I received a message at 2:00pm stating she was one minute away, nothing, no show. Then another message stating she was 11 minutes away at 3:00pm. Finally, at 4:00pm, a message stating that she was at my home performing a service outside. Nope, no van, no truck, no tech! I decided that for a new customer experience this is unacceptable. I called the local number which transfers to a national number, from there I explain my situation. After getting nowhere, I request cancellation of my service and am placed on hold for12 minutes. A new person connects with me to ask what I'm calling about. I explained I was on hold for cancellation, the new rep put me on hold again, was very nasty and rude but "submitted" a cancellation request. Didn't cancel, "submitted" a cancellation. If this is not the end of this, it will be a formal complaint o their clearly tarnished record with the BBB. My regret is not checking here first confirming the list of complaints filed and horrible reviews. I found several local options with great reviews, would not recommend this one! Southern Indiana location with service out of Louisville, KY. Update: A technician was allegedly on her way to my home to apply another treatment as stated above but she treated my neighbors house four doors up from me instead, took a picture of their mailbox, and submitted a bill. My address is clearly shown at the top of the invoice and my neighbors house number, the one she actually did the treatment for in the photo, and I was charged $62. I also replied, as requested, to the email listed in the Terminix reply to my review here with pdf copies of the invoice. No reply, no surprise, and no refund. Why is this company still in business?
5 months ago, we signed a contract with Terminix for termites' prevention and termites eradication from the kitchen cabinets. They came one time and then, they disappeared...!! The only time that Terminix did a good job was at the time of signing the contract. I called the technician twice, the sales Representative that came to my home 3 times and sent a text, twice to their customer service phone and spoke to two different agents. The costumer representatives where professionals and have good attitude, they tried to contact the Manager for this Miami area and they were not lucky. Seems like the office that Termininx was using to provide service left them and went to another company. Terminix was unable to contact us in any way. Simple, Terminix ghosted us..!! But they took our $1500.00...!! I have the account number is 14718937 just in case somebody from Terminix wants to contact me. Also I have all records of my phone calls and texts. As I said, dont waste your money in a Company that don't care about the costumers...!!!
I signed a rodent exclusion service September 2023. The only time that Terminix did a good job was at the time of signing the contract. Since then i have had two occasions that i have had mice roaming in my house. In both occasions Terminix has ignored my several follow up calls to come and inspect for where the mice is coming into my house. I have even complaint that the area manager should call me. They are only interested to talk to renew the contract that they are not fulfilling their obligation. Extremely frustrating and impossible to talk to any person of authority. I DO NOT recommend this company at all.
I had 4 bird nests that needed to be removed, only one needed a small ladder so they were very easy to remove. They where all on top of lamps.I hired them because they said they would disinfect the area where the nest where an put a repellent. It turns out, that the agent who sold me the service, sold me a service that Terminix doesn’t do. They still have not disinfect or place a repellent, after two weeks of taking the nests down. Neither the agent who sold me the service or a manager have responded to my calls or text.
Waited 5 hours for a no-show. Office said appt was for the following day, my emailed confirmation in-hand stated otherwise. Fired them on the spot. Joining hundreds of other reviewers who would have preferred to give ZERO stars.
