When our neighbor got rid of his woodpile, all the rats went looking for a new home and chose us. Terminex came out and, based on their assessment, I hired them to place bait stations and I also purchased additional stations to place in our attic. The technician was extremely aggressive about wanting to sign me up for termite control, even though I told him we have used another company for 15 years, we don’t have an issue with termites and our focus is on the rats. There was no follow up. The rats ARE gone, but that is entirely because we took the initiative. I got a notice in December that my credit card was going to be charged for the ongoing service I signed up for so immediately called the billing office to tell them I did not sign up for that, but I did have to pay for the November visit with a card because they don’t take cheques. The helpful woman unlinked the card and I thought the problem was solved. Yesterday I got a notice that Terminex had tried to charge my card, but it wouldn’t go through, so I called again. Turns out the tech had set up two accounts—one for the rats and one for ongoing termite service! Service was poor and the billing set up by the tech was nothing short of fraudulent.
Terminix had a yearly contract to inspect for drywood termites for 20 years with my elderly (98) year old aunt. She had the yearly contract for 20 years and when she died we found active termite damage which had been present for 20 years according to 2 other pest control companies, and her house had extensive live active termite damage. They refused to take responsibility and also damaged new landscaping while on the property and refused to cover any of the damages. My aunt had no idea that this company was taking advantage of her and since the contract was not transferrable to me there was nothing I could do without an expensive court battle. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Called them out for a wasp problem in the house. He said they are in the chimney and the technicians could eradicate them by going on the roof and putting stuff down the chimney. Inspector said he’d go ahead and check the rest of the house while he was there. Said he found rodent droppings in the attic. Said we needed to get an exclusion plan ($1400) to get rid of them. I questioned the poop as it looked old. He assured me it was not. Then he told me they had an awesome deal going on for gutter guards for only an additional $250. So I thought I was getting a deal for $1800. WRONG!! He added to the end of the proposal another $1800 for the gutter guards! The technician came to put the traps in and screens on the soffits. He said I don’t know why you’re getting this. You already have the screens on your soffits. He said we don’t go on roofs. It’s against policy. Called the customer no service number and was told they contacted the inspector and he said that he never told me that!! Such a liar!! Called the company for 6 days straight. I had to repeat the story every time I called. Customer no-service kept assuring me that the matter has been escalated. Last phone call the guy said… you should have read the contract and hung up on me!I’m now stuck with a $ 3400 contract for something I didn’t need and we still have the wasp problem!! Such a scam company!!!
RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU CAN!!! They do not have ANY month to month *service* plans…they only have month to month *payment* plans…BIG DIFFERENCE!!! Whatever you sign, it is for a YEAR LONG PLAN THAT YOU CANNOT BREAK FOR *ANY* REASON WITHOUT AN EARLY TERMINATION FEE, WHICH IS THE COST OF THE ENTIRE CONTRACT!!! I am not yelling but am saying the quiet part OUT LOUD!!! Their SALES/PEST CONTROL TECHNICIANS WILL *LIE* TO GET YOU TO SIGN THAT CONTRACT, especially if you’re under duress because of an active pest issue in your home. I clearly explained that day I was selling soon and did not want to keep this service under any circumstances after my move (nor have it part of my sale for several reasons). They LIE because they know once you sign that contact, there ain’t squat you can do about it. DONT’DO IT! DON’T SIGN *ANYTHING* WITH TERMINIX!!! I’M OUT THE $, but I’m posting here so you don’t get scammed like I did!
You get mad and lose your hard-earned money. We signed a one-year contract last year, but nothing improved. The worst is you are trapped with a contract with no end until you apply for a cancelation by writing. The lesson I learned is that never sign a contract with a door-to-door salesman. This company only cares about sales figures except for customer service.

We financed bedbug service 80/20 and paid over $270 and they took the down payment and the finance company had no record of our account existing except on the Terminix side. We got the run around when we called, they hung up on us, lied to us, were very rude and argued with us after the finance company already informed us they got nothing. We had to file a dispute with the credit card in order to regain the funds on a canceled service we never received.
We called Terminix for a rodent problem. After giving them over $2,000, they came out one time and used materials to cover holes that the rodents ate right through. When speaking with the guys that did the work, we told them that we did the same thing, and it didn't work. They told us to just call them, and they would come back as many times as it took to control the problem we have. We called a week later, and a guy came out and did not have the traps we needed because they were low on stock. He gave me paper traps that the rodents ate. Since then, we called numerous times, and they never came back. Terminix is a completely unreliable! Now we are out of our money. They say they have a guarantee but that is not true. I tried to hire another pest control company before calling Terminix, but they never called back. Do not call them for service. You will be very disappointed and lose your money.
If I could give a zero I would. This company is the worst at every level of service possible. We had an appointment scheduled for a home inspection today between five and seven PM… the technician never showed up and never called. In addition this company services one of our businesses and when they first came to our location the technician told his dispatcher we were out of business so Terminex closed out our account…. I have called and called and called and I get the same run around….what a joke and an absolute rip off…. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU DID!
We have been using Terminex for years. We have always been happy with their work. Most recently we somehow got ghost ants in our house. They came right out and treated the areas. I had a couple show up again, and they came right out and treated the areas again. All good now.
These people are horrible. I would not recommend using this company for anything. From the salesman to the office workers, they do not care about the customer. They just care about the money. The actual tech that came out to spray was the only person that understood what “customer service” means. The salesman had me sign a contract, which he told me was just the form allowing the tech to come out. Never mentioned a contract. My bad on that one. About 3 weeks later I called to pay my year in advance. I paid the amount quoted to me by the rep and they TOOK an additional $120 or so out THE VERY NEXT DAY! When I asked why they told me that the representative gave me the wrong dollar amount. They refused to refund that money. So I feel like they stole $120 from me. There were so many other things they did wrong within that one month, but those are the main ones. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

I had them for Termite and pest control. I started having issues with Pest control because I was paying a lot of money $186 each quarter and would still have roaches and ants so I canceled pest control. For the next year Termites renewal, a technician showed up for inspection, walked around the exterior of the house and reported that no Termites were seen both interior and exterior yet he never came inside. No treatment was performed but they charged my card $368. I called in and asked what the charges were and the agent said it was for the yearly treatment and yet nothing was applied. They said they were going to schedule a treatment application but when I said no cancel am not happy with your services another agent (Regina) who was very rude said that they don't apply treatment unless they see Termites. So why am I paying $368 for someone to simply walk around my exterior?? She told me to let her finish talking when I asked her this question then when I asked for the manager she said none was available and they would call me back. I never got a call back. They said a refund would have to be approved by the branch. Terrible company with very bad customer service agents when you choose to cancel.
You will get promises but not service. We will call you…. Nope,won’t.
Worst company ever, they will charge you even when the service person didn't do anything. and they will try to not give the money back. They will try to sell you a contract and not tell you anything about it, so first of all send them to fck off and not do anything. I live in a private community, they cannot enter if I say so, and they never call you to schedule the service, I think this is the way for them to charge you without doing anything.... Never ever use this company.

I have been waiting since September 16th for someone to call me. I have called three times and every time the dispatcher is very nice and apologetic - someone will call you soon??? Still waiting...very disappointed.
I think Terminix Canada is okay. I have hired someone to solve cockroaches problem in 2nd times as fail tom solve it. They offer me to pay another one. Forget it. I will not hire someone from Terminix again. I am not impressed with Terminix. I assumed that Technician did not do much on spray on cockroaches. I have called there in several times as no luck. I suggest not to use Terminix.
DO NOT USE This company. The customer service is terrible. I was scheduled for a Friday, got a call on Thursday saying it needed moved to Saturday between 8-10. The time came and went with no call and no one showing up. I called customer service, one rep lied, and hung up on me. Called back and was refused access to a manager. Called to cancel after taking my business to Orkin, they didn't even bother asking why I was cancelling. Do not waste your time with this failing Company.
