I ordered a dishwasher. It was easy to choose - good website, good prices, good selection of goods, easy to pay, easy to track delivery, delivery turned up on time. Only shame that telephone lines close pretty early in the evenings and are not available all weekend. No matter, I'll be shopping here again.
Due to circumstances out of my control the item was not checked until needed and this was after the 72 hours stated in terms and conditions. Upon opening the item it was damaged in two places and so after several attempts at getting through to customer services they said they could not send a replacement. It was an expensive purchase and one that took some time to decide on in order to get it right. My kitchen that I have saved for for the last 15 years is now not going to be completed, it has been a costly experience using your company. I won't be using you again.
Ordered a dryer on their website, selected a Saturday delivery at no extra cost and paid using a credit card. Company called me on the day before delivery and said I'm sorry we don't deliver to your postcode. I said that's strange because when I purchased this item, your website didn't mention this. I was told it was a problem and is being investigated. They said they could deliver to me, but it would be an extra £70. I immediately cancelled the order, and told them I would like a refund. No problem they said, and I sent an E mail to get confirmation in writing. I received an E mail stating that my order was cancelled and my refund would be processed. 3 weeks later my card has not been refunded and my credit card provider is chasing this up. Further E mails to this company have had no response. I have to agree with the majority of reviews on this site, that this companies service is pathetic. Funny that the company sent me a mail to review them, but it doesn't go anywhere? Also strange how their own reviews are also mainly 5 star, go figure. Do not use this company!
better customer service required
I ordered some appliances back in December 2016 and it is now March and i am still waiting! I will not be using this company again as the communication is very poor and inefficient. I have emailed the customer services manager and i am still waiting for a reply!!
I tend not to write reviews but I need everyone to be warned of this company. Placed order, all seemed okay. 3 weeks later machine still not arrived. Originally told it would be 7 working days. Despite updates online that machine can still be ordered. Now told it's a supplier fault. Still have not received my money back, and always having to chase them up. I can't purchase another machine without my refund, escalating laundry bills with 2 small children, not to mention the disruption having to take them to the laundrette. This company does not care and should appear on 'rip off Britain'. I just want my money back (not a lot to ask), especially when they are super quick at taking money off you. Probably a scam business! I am going to have to look at reporting this company to trading standards and the police as they are holding onto MY MONEY for no reason. The company have now removed the said washing machine from their site but have failed to communicate when I will get my much needed refund. BE WARNED!!! Gas Superstore please do the right thing and give me my refund ASAP!
This company lacks any any common decency in replying to customer emails . I have a problem with an item I purchased through their web site that was not correctly advertised or incorrectly sent . There is a reason why there are so many very poor reviews here and that is because the company lacks any customer relations skills. My advice is to buy from a reputable company because this company is certainly not .
Placed an order on 13th Feb and was quoted a delivery date of 21st. Nothing arrived, no contact. Phoned on 22nd "we left you a message the order hasn't come in and will be delayed" - no message had been received wither by voicemail or email as they claimed. "Order will be in on 27th or 2nd March". Nothing arrived on 28th, 29th, 30th, 1st and no messages. So rang on 2nd. "That model is not now going to be delivered by the supplier!" "We only found out yesterday and would have contacted you today" - yeah right! Price was cheap but if they can't supply then what good is that? I asked what alternatives they could offer but got offered different size and brand TVs that were completely unsuitable. As a result missed out on securing at a similar price elsewhere as the price has now gone up. Ring before you buy and check they have it in stock would be my advice. Person answering the phone was pleasant to deal with. their systems seem poor as they even had trouble looking up my order.
Ordered a side by side fridge and freezer. Ordering and up to the delivery day everything was ok. So i emptied out our old fridge/freezer and chest freezer and put them on kerbside as i was asked to do. Driver turns up on time and brought one box into the kitchen, asked him to bring the second item in from the van and he tells me he only has one item to deliver. Got in touch with Gas Superstore and gave them the item number on the box and they could not even tell me what the delivered box was. At first customer service was not even prepared for me open the box and have look. Customer service blaming the warehouse who they were unable to contact. Was told they will deliver the second item on Tuesday 28th February. As of writing this waiting for a delivery confirmation email.
Placed an order for a new washing machine with Gas Superstore a week ago. Told in stock and would be delivered on Saturday. New machine urgently needed because old one broken. Got an email at 4.55pm on the evening before delivery to abruptly say "the item is not in stock and we do not know when it will be". Called to complain. After 10 minutes to get through, person I spoke to didn't know anything. No explanation given. All she could do was offer a refund. So I'm stuck without a washing machine. I got the feeling this happens a lot with this company as woman didn't seem surprised. Why did it take them a week to discover this machine not in stock? Go with a different company - this lot are a joke and borderline fraudsters.
I ordered an washer dryer from the gas superstore at the beginning of the month. It was advertised as being in stock and a delivery date was confirmed with my order, however it wasn't in stock and they were unable to make that delivery. We then rearranged the delivery and I only discovered that they were unable to do this delivery the day before when I emailed them to check what time to expect it. At no point did they proactively contact me with any of the issues and they would have been happy with me waiting in all day for a delivery that wouldn't come. This is especially bad as it's a washer dryer so I'm unable to wash my clothes!!!!!
saw a deal on line for a hotpoint larder fridge at an excellent price, rang through and spoke to a very helpful young man who answered my questions. Rang back after 10 o,clock, confirmed order and was told it would be delivered the next day. At 9-20 the next morning fridge arrived and was wheeled round house and put in conservatory. This is excellent service and I would recommend this company to anyone
cooker hood and hob ordered 14th Feb with delivery due 21sr Feb. took over £1100 from credit card then 3 days later emailed to say hood not available. Waited in all day on the 21st for hob then after 3 phone calls told that this was not available also. They claim a refund has been made for the extractor but this has not been credited to my account. Shop elsewhere.
Fab service. Dishwasher arrived on time and nice and early.
This item, the cheapest I could find, was delivered promptly on the day they said. It is a new induction cooker with fan oven and so far I have been very pleased with it. (The first roast potatoes I cooked were lovely!!)
Ordered an item, received the confirmation, 3 hour SMS on the day and waited until the last ten minutes to call customer services to find out what was going on as we were supposed to received a call from the courier. I waited for 11 minutes before I gave up, called again 10 mins later and gave up again, called again and managed to get through to someone. When I explained I hadn't received my phone call from the driver and I wanted to know what the status was of the delivery, she checked the system and told me it will be delivered in a new 3 hour time slot. When I said there must be a problem with the system as that is not ok customer service she became very rude and defensive. I explained that all I needed to know was when it was being delivered she calmed down to call the driver. After 5 minutes on hold, she came back saying she couldn't get a hold of the driver but the courier has confirmed that all deliveries today received a phone call. When I pointed out that there must be something wrong with the system as that was not the case she was not interested in filing an error or take any responsibility for this system or human error. Everything else seemed to work perfectly on the automated system except that phone call from the driver or being notified that the time slot had changed. I am still waiting for my item....
WORST SERVICE EVER NEVER SHIPS ITEMS PUTS PHONE DOWN ON YOU AND THEN LIES. WORST PHONE MANNER AND EVEN WORST TAKES YOUR MONEY AND LEAVES YOU WITHOUT A FIRE. NEVER TELLS YOU OF ANY PROBLEMS AND THEN MAKES UP STORIES AS TO WHY YOU DON'T HAVE IT. THE SERVICE IS THE WORST EVER. IF YOU WANT A FIRE DON'T USE THIS SERVICE IM PLEADING WITH YOU THIS IS A MASSIVE BUNCH OF COWBOYS AND THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND NEVER SUPPLY WHAT YOU WANT. WILL BE TAKING THIS UP WITH WATCHDOG AS THEY DON'T LISTEN AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN GIVEN AN APOLOGY OR COMPENSATION
I know how important these reviews can be, I am writing this review to give reassurance to other consumers. After hours of research and due diligence researching products to kit out a new house, I relied on such comments and reviews. I had an Excellent experience with The Gas Superstore, I spent £1400 with them and can not fault their prices, goods and customer service. I will be a long time customer with them and fully recommend them to friends and family. Keep up the good work guys.
This company has let me down very badly. They took my order under false pretences by lying about the stock situation. They failed to confirm my order. They lied about the first delivery date: they omitted to inform me that the delivery would not take place. Now they have reneged on the second delivery date and have only informed me at the last minute when it is too late to cancel the electrical fitter. The company is deceitful, irresponsible, uncaring and inefficient. With service like this, it is obvious that they are best avoided. CAVEAT EMPTOR!(let the buyer beware!) You only have to read other reviews over the past month to see that this company consistently fails to keep delivery times, and offers poor service. So as well as posting this review, I'll be contacting TSO to make a formal complaint.
