I would like to say Darcy from the Winchester store is a angel. Every time when I am in the shop and she serving me she so helpful, happy. She is the best in this shop. She is brilliant with the customers. Me and my son loves her so much. We always visit her.
Today, I selected 4 clothing items for purchase, 1 of which had a red label indicating a discounted price, a common practice I have observed in your store. At checkout, the staff abruptly removed the red label without explanation, stating I could not buy the item due to a "wrong label." This was incredibly unprofessional and confusing. The staff could not explain what makes the label "wrong" or how it ended up on the item. It is unacceptable to display inaccurate prices and then simply remove them at the last minute. This raises questions about your pricing practices and disregard for customers' time and decisions. Furthermore, when I attempted to use the fitting room, I was met with unprofessional and accusatory behavior from your staff. After returning 3 out of 7 items, the staff member loudly questioned me about the remaining items, even though I clearly had them in my possession. This was embarrassing and uncalled for. In both instances, no staff members or managers offered a proper explanation or apology for the inconvenience caused. This lack of accountability and concern for customer satisfaction is deeply disappointing.
Great place to shop high quality items at a lower price.
I rate the store and shopping a big 5, but when it comes to the rewards scheme, the best word I can use to describe them are disappointing. I can either donate £5 (which I've done repeatedly) or I can " enter to win" such a thing. Not exactly a reward is it! I'm a busy mum and if you're going to "reward" people such as my self, then reward us, don't think entry into a raffle or such is a reward we want because it really isn't. A little some thing for me would be nice, or even some thing for my dog or grandkids but we don't get any such option. Even the one time I tried to claim treats for my dog it was a disaster. First I claimed it through the app, then you send me a code which I have to go onto another website (in my instance it was pooch and mutt) and order it there with the code you sent me which didn't even work so I tried to reach customer service, no reply there. Wow, all this for a treat for my dog. Then I was besieged with emails from pooch and mutt telling me I hadn't finished my basket. What a palaver that was! It was only when I sent pooch and mutt a scathing email telling them I blocked them once to leave me alone that I got anywhere. All this to claim a little bag of dog treats, it took months to even save enough keys for God's sake. I would rather buy my own than go through all that. Sort it out will you, maybe give us a £5 off our next visit even, anything is better than the rubbish I'm offered to "take part in" a reward should be just that, rewarding. Signed a fed up regular customer. I was today informed I had a reply so let's see what it is shall we. Yes Sophie I have checked four times already and STILL it's either entry into draws or donate my £5. Exactly what I was complaining about so nothing has changed has it.
please take a stand regarding the staff of the store, because the customers must be treated with respect, and the staff named Aziza, who is talking with her friends, should know the labor policy and not ignore other customers because she does not feel like working and she prefers to talk with her friends
Refused the sale of a cutlery set in store as I had my 7 year old child with me! Was told they were age restricted items and I might be purchasing them for her?! I’m purchasing them for my whole household as we do not eat with our hands!! I had other items that I was then processing with after being denied the cutlery because of my 7 year old stood next to me at the till and some young girl presumably the manager appeared and told me how the rest of my sale would have to be stopped and I couldn’t go through with then buying my side plates and picture because I’d tried to buy cutlery with my daughter there!!!! At this point I became extremely angry as quite clearly my 7 year old may try to use side plates as an offensive weapon!!! Other customers became quite angry at how I had been treated and how ridiculous it all was and I left the store!! Poor customer service and obviously anyone who has children can’t purchase a box of cutlery!!
Man konnte früher immer kleine Schätze finden.
Wow, I must have missed the news!!!! There seems to be a retailer who is exempt from complying with consumer rights act. Reading other reviews it is clear that TKMaxx desperately tries not accept ANY faulty returns, no matter what the item is.🤔 The part I don't understand is how do they get away with this???? Katie, the acting store manager, just violated our consumer rights by refusing to return an obviously faulty item. My wife has purchased a branded pair of sunglasses and the hinges started to be so stiff you can barely open them. It also flexes so badly, it almost cracks in the middle each time. She advised us to repair the faulty item by using a screwdriver 🤣🤣 She managed to confuse herself saying that the item is faulty and we have 28 days to return it.🤭 When I asked for the store manager she refused to give me contact details, claiming that those are confidential details. Obviously, Katie has been trained to refuse any returns to save a few pounds for the company, even if it violates consumer rights. Well done TKMaxx 🫡 I can't wait for the usual fake reply from the retailer to pretend, something is going to be done about this issue.😉
Totally disappointed with the recruitment process. A young person (17 years old) recently applied for a retail assistant role and failed the 30 minute situational judgement test. Tried to apply for another role and was notified that they couldn't apply again for 12 months! I feel this is far too harsh a sanction when it is so incredibly difficult for young people to secure their first job. I feel that this situational judgement test and policy also has the potential to penalize applicants with learning challenges (special educational needs) 12 months is way too long to be barred from re applying. TK Maxx please reconsider this policy.
Romina and George - amazing service. I received my item and it had a minor defect on it so I contacted TK Maxx to see what I needed to do. Romina and George responded quickly, treated me like a human and with respect, and resolved the issue in a matter of days. Blown away by the service they provided, definitely going to shop here again from now on. Excellent.
Very easy online order experience. Great prices and well packaged. Not the speediest delivery but it’s well communicated at checkout so not an issue.
Good value products and very friendly staff particularly at the Crewe branch. The lady tending the changing room is always very helpful.
Store was clean and well stocked and the staff were so lovely and friendly
Always find great items from here, some real bargains
Their Edgware branch click and collect service is horrible. Firstly the button to ask for assistance in click and collect section was broken. I asked 3 different shop assistants for help to collect my items, they would say someone will be there but for more than 30 minutes no one showed up. I had to leave without collecting my items. I cancelled the order.
I was charged for an item I didn’t buy in the Lakeside store. I went to the TK Maxx store in Romford who could not return the funds due to store policy. They asked me to contact customer service. I’m glad I did, I spoke to a very professional agent who refunded the amount and offered a token of goodwill. I am very impressed with the service. Thank you George at customer service. This experience was 5 star
Very poor customer service. My mother and i were asked multiple times to leave the store before the store was actually closed. Poor management and customer service. I have worked in customer service multiple years and this is not an appropriate way to treat people. I am a big spender at TJ Maxx stores. This ruined my entire experience. This was the Killarny, Ireland location. Staff should know how to treat customers with dignity and respect and how to word things more appropriately. If you don't know how to treat others with kindness maybe customer service isn't for you. Let alone a manager. I have never have been so poorly treated at a TJ Maxx/ TK Maxx store or any store for that matter in my life please train your staff.
I enjoyed the colour's and the raciption lady is so polite and great 👍

Aug 05,2024TK Maxx is one of my go-to stores for homewares. You can find some really good products at a fraction of the price you'd pay elsewhere. I manage to find some really good pieces in their clothing & trainers section too. Staff are always friendly and I've had no problems returning unwanted purchases or replacing/getting a refund for any faulty items
