Quite possibly the worst energy supplier I have ever encountered. I cannot take it further until they send me a deadlock letter and they won't respond to emails!!! I've left now and they have taken money via DD and are asking for more even though we were in credit. You can't contact them and get a response, yet they are merrily sending debt emails. If i could give one star I would.

Awful customer service. Have been chasing to confirm when Tonik will payback the outstanding balance owed (now switched to another provider) but no details offered - just a confirmation of how I can raised my complaint, plus a link to Citizens Advice. In the meantime they have taken another payment via Direct Debit (should have cancelled, but...).

Customer service is appalling. I’ve been chasing for 6 months to sort out my opening meter reading. I did receive 1 reply on the 2nd July, after posting a review saying they would sort, but never heard anything again and still no resolution. The opening meter reading was so wrong it didn’t allow me to supply an actual reading, as such still haven’t received a single statement in 6 months as a customer. For me it’s something that could be sorted fairly easily if they cared for customers. I have escalated to Energy Ombudsman. In my experience they are not interested in customer service.

Tonik has sent me two incorrect final bills, I've spent nearly 2 hours on the phone to their customer service team trying to sort it out, I'm still waiting for my final bill and now I've received a letter demanding payment for my overdue energy bill. Absolute joke. The fact that they don't help customers via social media anymore speaks volumes about how much they care about their customers. All I want to do is pay my final bill and you can't even make your mind up on how much I owe you. Why should I keep wasting my time trying to sort it out exactly? Ridiculous. I've messaged their CS team but who knows if/when I'll receive a reply. I'm so glad I left them and went to Octopus energy, Tonik could learn a thing or two from them....AVOID! Update - 18-02-21 - In total, I think I spent 4 hours+ on the phone to their CS team and sent 3 or 4 emails which I never received a reply too. Shock. I received a letter today dated 16-02-21 from the administrators who took over asking me to pay my balance of £50.08 which is an amount even higher than the first 2 incorrect bills that Tonik sent to me. Absolute joke. I've now emailed their administrators and asked once more for a final bill, not convinced they'll do a better job at sorting out my issue than Tonik tbh. Absolute shambles. Update - 05/03/21 - Today I received an email from Jordan at Credit Style, Deloitte have passed my outstanding balance to them. The debt collectors offered to give me a 30% discount if I pay them today which I have refused. Told them I'm not paying a single penny to them, Deloitte or anyone else until I receive a correct final bill. If they don't send one, then they're getting no money from me. Credit Style can't sort a bill so will be closing my case and sending it back to Deloitte where no doubt the debt will just get sold to another debt collector. Absolute joke. I never received an reply to my email to Deloitte sent on 18-02-21 (the date I received a letter from them). Seems that they are as useless as Tonik....very ironic.

Switched energy supplier at the start of the year with my account in credit, heard nothing more until I received an email for an unpaid bill reminder in August. It had taken 7 months for my final bill to be published which had used 'estimated' closing readings instead of the actual figures sent to them by the new supplier. I know they have received them as the gas reading is correct but the electricity reading is incorrect. Bill is subsequently over £100 more than it should be. I have emailed and called to no avail. I have been told to contact my new energy supplier myself to get them to send the readings again whilst i continue to get bombarded with emails and letters threatening bailiffs and debt collectors despite having 'a note' written on my account explaining the issue. I have sent three online forms as directed but after 3 weeks have yet to receive any correspondence to these. I would avoid this company if you plan on switching providers as it is just endless hassle.

Don’t join this supplier they have absolutely ruined my life I am a single parent and disabled and they have been doubling my payments every month even though I havnt been in my house thry haven’t come an fixed my meter boxes and blamed COVID however I had these problems way before the pandemic happend they have had hundreds out of me that’s unaccounted for and left me penny less and unable to feed my self and son worst provider iv ever gone with and refusing to give me any of my money back because they cannot prove I havnt used gas and electric because they haven’t fixed my meters. I already have depression this has truly tipped me over the edge I literally can’t do anything about it.

I prefer Tonik to all the others I've tried so far, and I do look for comparisons annually. Their web site is easy to work around. The prices are favorable. Getting interest on any credit is a big plus. They give plenty of notice when your deal is coming to an end. When I needed to speak to someone they are easy to reach and have the time & patients to listen then explain. I can't fault them. This is my 2nd year with them.

Awful to contact, multiple billing errors that took months of chasing by myself which ended up in them removing supplied meter readings and using estimates, even when I tried to switch they messed this up by moving me on to a standard tariff despite emails from them confirming the switch

Similar experience to others. I left Tonik for another company in mid March 20 but they have continued to bill me for energy I have not used. I raised the issue thinking it was an oversight but I have battled with them from April to get my money back. Instead I get threatening letters to settle my "debt". I have raised complaints to no avail. The next step is to take it to the Ombudsman I believe. How are these people allowed to remain in business?

Left Tonik after months of missing or wrong bills. To cap it off they have issued me two bills this month, the electricity has a different closing reading from what I provided & my new supplier says Tonik provided them with. My gas has been billed past the point they stopped supplying me & they still think they are supplying me & they have continued to take direct debits after I left them even though They owe me £100.

Avoid, avoid , avoid They have never supplied my flat yet I keep receiving final payment bills, I can’t get through to them, and they do not reply to emails or raised complaints on they website . I am very concerned that I will have debt collectors knocking on my door soon.

Left Tonik back in January, and heard nothing from them until early August when i received a Final Bill, accompanied by a threatening letter to pay immediately as my account was overdue and the debt would be passed to collections if no payment was received within 7 days. The absolute cheek. Not even sure the final bill is correct. Trying to contact them by phone is pointless - 30+ mins waiting, and their call centre in JNB is useless, system down, get cut off - and their online communication system is no better. I make a part payment via their website, but as their system is so rubbish this isn't credited to my account, meaning they have no record of my attempt to resolve this issue. And still the threatening emails arrive. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE YOU KNOW WHAT.

Customer service nil I would not recommend this company I was with them for a short 8 months. They misread my photos of my meter readings and tried to charge me five times what I was paying I ending up having to contact Citizens Advice then to the Ombudsman for finally resolution They are tone deaf to any complaints No I would not recommend

Great energy supplier, very good communication I get clear emails telling me information. Also I love the fact they use renewable energy that’s a selling point for me. Always got the planet in mind.

After a dreadful period with Tonik and erratic direct debit payment taking, price rise disguises and zero ability to contact these charlatans, I'm now waiting for a credit balance repayment, after leaving, of £262.40p. No sign of a final statement, nothing at all. As and when or if a final statement is issued, they say 30 days before reimbursement. I bet there are thousands waiting, like me, with millions owed by Tonik. A disgusting outfit and sly. Steer clear, imoh.

This is by far the worst energy supplier around. For the past year I have not received a statement . I continuously asked for a statement plus I could not provide a gas meter reading on their website ! So every month had to contact customer services with a picture of my meter reading. On numerous occasions asked why - no answer given . Final straw called accounts waited 23 minutes on phone then asked for customer number I said I will just get it, the. To my surprise I was told by operator that I should have this at hand as this what was causing the long wait online - this is just rude I said to the operator that I had been on hold for 23 minutes a few seconds I am sure would not make a difference? DO NOT TOUCH THIS SUPPLIER
