Absolutely appalling service. The two people I spoke to didn’t have a clue what they were talking about. The manager did not call back. When I call again, I was on hold for 45 min only to find that I was talking to another incompetent person! I am now considering cancelling the contract despite have to pay the exit fees. I am on hold..18 mins and counting to speak to the cancellations department!

Customer service could be a bit better, but eventually we managed to sort out the refund that was owed, as they took more money from my direct debit, i has signed up for another year though.

They are expensive and they never update your account & never get back to you. One day you think you got credit in your account and then a couple of weeks later your in debit. I changed over to other supplier and paid in full and requested tonik to update my account and close it. But no response. I have made this request by email and over the phone but nothing. Avoid this company.......

Moved into a house that was previously supplied by Tonik. My first invoice arrived but - quite ridiculously - without the method of how to pay. I emailed immediately but heard nothing so I tried calling - no one answers. I have sent numerous follow up emails and now, 4 months later I'm getting threatening letters but I still can't speak to anyone at Tonik. What an absolute disgrace.

If I could give zero stars I would.... kept so much of my credit.. wouldn't reduce my bill even though they were taking £30 extra per month than my bill cost. Finally left and say it will take 8 weeks to finalise my last bill.... it doesn't take that long when they are taking money from you!!! I will never ever use them again!

Relatively simple to use online. Information as frequent as necessary. No problems have emerged in the year I have used Tonik Energy and a good deal when renewing.

Competitive but not brilliant when it comes to customer service or acting on its promises. Still waiting for my free boiler service which I doubt I’ll ever get. Next year will definitely move suppliers!

I'm with Tonik, now starting my 2nd Year. My monthly Gas & Electricity bill, is the lowest I've had - as before I was with British Gas for about 10years. I manage my Tonik account, online; print off statements at home. Once every 3 months, I phone the Customer Service - they are helpful. I'm happy with my monthly bill-amount; online usage; user-friendly website; friendly Customer Service; so i'"ve opted to try them for a 2nd Year (1 year contract). Thanks, Mathews.

No complaints about Tonik after my first year with them so decided to renew again with a very reasonable “green” tariff. All good.

Been with them 2+ years, initially great but stated smart meters were imminent in the next couple of months - never happened. Moved from them so I could finally get my smart meter working. 21 days after I left they still took my next payment. Said I’d not moved my gas, managed to get them to realise I had 25 days after moving, another 17 days later still not received my refund of the monies taken or the £100 they have on my account. What is really annoying is they can’t even be bothered to apologise. Not once. So very pleased to be leaving them.

Terrible customer service. They don’t answer emails and fail to resolve simple issues. By their own admission, they mistakenly took money money from my account months ago. Many emails and a Resolver complaint later, still no refund. Avoid these people.

Very impressed as pricing is very competitive and being green is even better, just one observation is that the previous system where you could view your statement and seeing your on going balance within 24hrs of submitting meter reading , was so much better than the current system, seem to wait several days sometimes a week or more. Even though prices are very good, it would be nice to get a bonus for loyalty, so many don't appreciate loyalty and aim for new customers only

Outstanding company, its all done online with easy and simply to use website. No frills site very easy to navigate. Been with Tonik Energy for 2 years, just renewed for third, Priced very competitive. Well Done Tonik Energy.

Terrible energy provider...hoping the below may offer some insight, for whoever might read this :) Despite being on a contracted 12-month direct debit, the clever clogs at Tonik, have managed to overcharge me. No up to date statements have been provided since April (despite regular meter readings being provided), although, in this time the credit balance went up from April-31st July (£600+ at end of July). No response to countless emails, and nothing but excuses given via telephone (“We’ll pass your refund request on to the ‘Billing’ department”), when asking about a refund of the sizeable credit balance...best part still to come... Shock horror when; having sent an email wanting to submit a formal complaint, about lack of response/lack of refund etc, and overall awful service, my account balance went from £600+ in CREDIT, to £17,000+ in DEBIT, all in the space of one weekend (despite the monthly contracted DD, and having provided up to date meter reads...surprise surprise). On that note, I decided it was time to cut my losses and switch providers, as these guys make the Chuckle Brothers look like the highest calibre trade professionals, no, actually...that’s an insult to the Chuckle Brothers. Not sure how they’ve managed to score above 3 stars for some reviews (maybe they’re submitting bogus reviews?), but, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH TONIK ENERGY, you’ll regret it no end, and would be better off spending your money with a proper energy provider...one that doesn’t generate fake statements and rob you of your credit balance, by messing around with your account balance, creating an IMPOSSIBLE amount of debit on it. I’m wondering how they’re still operating. Furthermore, asked for a smart meter in October 2019, still nothing, despite being told they’d be rolling these out in the New Year (this was way before COVID struck). Don’t expect a smart meter any time this side of Xmas, and if one does arrive at your home address, it might actually be a not-so-smart meter...based upon how these guys operate. Anyways, that’s my piece!

Terrible company. Despite not being a customer of theirs, I was sent letters threatening legal action for an unpaid bill without them providing any details of the bill or the amount allegedly unpaid. Emailed them and received no response. Phoned them and they couldn't find any details, but this did not stop them sending further threatening letters.

I've found Tonik Energy a good utility company and feel that I am doing something for our planet by using a renewable enrgy company. They have been easy to use and reliable. I've found it useful to be able to submit regular metre readings and track my usage. The company is not 'pushy' but send me a reminder to submit readings and they are quick to update these from estimated readings. To date I can't fault them, just renewed my contract because they are still coming out the best for me at present.
