This company is just a shamble and it should be banned all together from providing any kind of services by the FCA. Mostly DD always paid on time and they show late or missed payments. On top of that it says I am not on the Electoral register when I am and they want proof of it. Get a grip on yourselves people
They had my Electoral registration dates missing. After sending an official letter from my local council showing that I had been registered since 2009. They changed my registration date to less than a month ago. So it now shows as a critical. I have sent this letter in 4 times, raised multiple disputes, and followed the complaints procedure. So far they refuse to correct their mistake. As someone about to apply for a mortgage, the stress caused by transunion is a nightmare and an unprofessional joke. I cannot belove such a shambles of a department works for something as important as people credit rating. PS: 1 star because zero isn't an option.
Wast of time. It has the wrong information about me. I wrote an email to complain. They agreed it was wrong but did nothing about it.
Utter shambles of a company. Wrong information on report but when I try to contact them to make a ‘dispute’ the website sends me round in circles getting me to enter the same information repeatedly until the 3x limit is reached and I’m locked out for another 24 hours. Speaking to someone is useless because they just tell you you can only dispute their info through the website (which is impossible for reasons just given) or in writing- which I will be doing as well as to the financial ombudsman. I have already filed an official complaint about them to ‘Halifax’ who continue to use them for some reason but have had no apology or redress so I am leaving this review. Disgusted!
I applied for the paypal 3. pay in three instalments I always pay with paypal and used them to pay for an iphone in three installments no problem. Now I wished to do the same with an ebike. Paypal refused, quoting transunion had me down as a risk. Pardon me! I have a really good rating on the three major credit agencies I now cannot apply again for 35 days in which time the £200 OFF OFFER will have finished. So now I cannot purchase the bike. So wrong.
Wish I could give less than 1 star! Disgrace of a company. Have a CCJ on my file which is not even in my name. They will not listen and refuse to do anything about it. Can’t believe the likes of NatWest and Halifax use them
What a joke they have put some one else's ccjs on my report iv sent them all the information they have requested 10 times as they keep asking me the same ones then get a email saying this as been sorted they are sorry and that they have been removed to update my credit score I then update it as they tell me and what a surprise the ccjs are still there but they are not boverd that they messing with people's lifes as I'm currently trying to get a mortgage all I want is Al the info that is nothing to with me removed as there about 5 propertys just a joke been goin on for 3 weeks now
Useless company, disputing something on my credit file each time they've asked for proof I send it where they request it to be sent to the email address doesn't exist been going round in circles for an entire month!!
Powers that be should instantly suspend this firm from operating, we have just duped them with false information and they have came back to us with information that doesn’t exist, someone has made it up and actually expect consumers to just take what they say as factual, not this time
ZERO stars. THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY’S PROCESSES. This company has caused both my husband and I, separately, significant issues with our credit reports - both of us significantly impacted by similar but unrelated problems, neither of which were our fault. Last year, TransUnion insisted that I didn’t live at an address that I could prove I lived at, all my bank and credit card addresses aligned with the address I gave them and I was on the electoral roll etc. A year later, my husband finds himself with exactly the same problem with a new address. They have him listed at our previous address, despite being on the electoral roll at his current address for over a year and despite all his bank and credit card addresses being updated, correct and double checked. They have caused us so many problems at crucial points in our lives when reliable credit checks were absolutely vital. All these issues have taken/ are taking months to sort out, the customer services is appalling and it’s incredibly difficult to contact anyone to resolve the disputed information. All the while, our personal credit ratings have plummeted through the floor, despite the issues being completely unrelated to our credit reliability. How difficult is it to get someone’s address right when that person is clearly on the electoral roll and have mountains of proof of address, and why does it take months to resolve and months for the person’s credit rating to recover from TransUnion’s basic error. IT IS NOT OK TO TREAT PEOPLE IN THIS WAY AND PLAY WITH PEOPLE’S LIVES WITH SO LITTLE CARE - it very nearly lost us a house.
What a waste of effort. Question asked for details that happened over 30 years ago. Stupidity rules here. Ditch them before they screw you over!
Oh my what a load of rubbish TransUnion... not really useful at all. Why is it even a thing
I was fuming ad this credit report has not only been incorrect once but now twice but yet when you try to resolve it and show it was incorrect they do not help or interested which is so damaging. We other credit agencies they seem to do the job properly but these do not. I contacted they 3rd party and could not see why this was on my file and not on other credit agencies but transunion insisted they would be keeping it on there. I don't honestly think they know what they are doing and judging by the reviews it's happing lots go us.
I noticed on Lloyds Bank App, Transunion had me living at my present address since 2021 when actually I have lived here since 1992. 2021 was when I applied for a postal vote. I have pointed the error out to them and basically I was informed it is up to me to prove I am telling the truth. Since it has not affected my credit score I’m not pursuing the matter as it all seems too much trouble to get a letter from the council or a court letter. I would have thought it should be up to them to put it right instead of giving companies the wrong information.
Call line is a disaster. I hope whoever picked the music gets colon cancer. And having a robot tell me to "email instead" every 20 seconds is beyond stupid. You bunch of scumbags.
They hold your details of past accounts don’t take them off when settled and of course this affects your credit score. Why is the government not controlling this company they have hold of all of your personal details and use them for their own purpose.
Terrible. I suddenly can’t access my credit report and none of my details have changed. Do you know much anxiety this causes for someone who is a possible victim of identity fraud??
100% disgusting, despicable and completely unprofessional. Those judging and categorising people, have in fact a majority if 1 ( one ) star reviews. Which means that they are Not reliable, and all the people are unhappy with their "services ". I wanted to get my credit report. But their " website " says my forename is not accepted, and my email address which I have for more than 20 years is Not valid. These are barriers put on purpose, to stop people seeing what inaccuracies their " information " display. One star is to much for such a " company ".........
PLEASE COMPLAIN TO YOUR BANK I've been in touch with my bank (Lloyds) who have advised me that if enough customers complain then this will be taken into consideration when the Transunion contract is up!!!!!!! Transunion don't know what they're doing. I provided them with an official letter from my council confirming that I've been on the electoral roll since 2016 weeks ago. All I get is a generic email response asking me for the information I've already sent. Spoke to on the phone - they said yes you're right you have sent what we need...then get an email asking me to send them the information again. After going around in circles for around in circles for 2 months I asked for their complaints procedure - which states they have 8 weeks to investigate my complaint (why does this not surprise me!) at which point I can then escalate to the financial ombudsman. Not fit for purpose this Company - can't actually believe banks are using them. Hopefully when the contract is up these banks will move to a more reputable company. Transunion if you're reading this.....YOU'RE SH%T!!!
