Whistl is a delivery management company providing efficient, high-quality and competitively priced services across Parcels, Fulfilment, Business Mail, Advertising and Contact Centre both in the UK and internationally.
So I'll just start by saying I never, ever order anything from anyone using Evri as their courier so was happy to see the item I wanted to order was being delivered by whistl. Great, I thought. Until I got the tracking that said they'd handed it over to...you guessed it...Evri and... you guessed it...they've lost it. So not only will I be avoiding Evri, I'll be avoiding Whistl from now on as well. Not impressed.
For some reason Evri have been give my parcel by Whistl. Evri now say that they are "unable to deliver" my parcel. No reason was given. Whistl can't even deliver their own parcels and are passing on the the most incompetent parcel service I have ever encountered (Evri/Hermes)
Absolutely useless. I'm expecting live plants - 2 days late and probably dead! Customer contact is only 'live chat' and their idea of 'live chat' is with a ridiculous robot who just takes you round and round and round. No matter what the question, every answer is to contact the sender to sort it out. They take no responsibility whatsoever.
This company issues fake tracking numbers which cannot be traced. There must be a lot of parcels stacked up somewhere which have never been delivered
Rubbish company , delivered to wrong address and not helpful in the slightest but judging by other reviews this is standard for them Why do companies use these!
A small item ordered online at lunch time Thursday was "shipped" via Whistl. No indication as to which of their "services" was being used from their tracking. Whistl "processed" the packet on Friday, then "processed" it again early hours on Monday. Before "posting" it out via Royal Mail at 8 am on Monday. My postman delivered it with the normal mail on Tuesday. Their online tracking system gives no information on where the packet is physically, or an expected delivery date.
Once again let down on a live plant delivery by Whistl. So late that half the plants died. Tracking is a joke as once they offload it to someone for delivery the tracking stops. Just wish companies would stop using them.
Absolutely useless
Is there a lower score than 1 star? This company is utter ****. They keep referring me back to the company who sent the item when it's got nothing to do with them. They lied to me many times and even when I called them out they continued to lie. My parcel said out for delivery and it had been scanned and in transit multiple times and the help service told me they don't have it in their network??? Absolutely useless
Shame you don't have a "No Star" option. Still waiting for a couple of deliveries. One presumed lost, the other still somewhere? I'm convinced that the tracking information is provided by some kind of randomizer which picks pre-prepared statements at will. Completely useless company, but must be very cheap otherwise I can't think of any reason why anyone would use them.
The Oder has been showing out for delivery for 2 days but no information. If you contact Whistl with the tracking number they tell you to contact the retailer even though the item is with Whistl. As the contents of the order are tender plants I won't be using the retailer again unless they can guarantee a different delivery company.
Truly appalling. Tracking info is a joke, totally non existent. No info at all. Avoid these clowns at all costs. One star is FAR TOO many. See their reply below, pathetic. No means of contact provided, 8 days to respond. Their so called tracking system shows one entry dared 19/8. I repeat AVOID THESE CLOWNS.
Are you a company considering using Whistl because they're offering a good deal on shipping? Do you enjoy packing up and shipping your stock, only to have it disappear without trace? Do you enjoy spending time and effort effort trying to get refunds/compensation for lost packages? Do you enjoy losing long-time, repeat customers because your shipping is completely unreliable? If so, then Whistl is for you! Are you a customer who is considering buying from a company who use Whistl? Do you just love paying for goods that never arrive, and then having the hassle of chasing after a refund? Then shop with a company who ship via Whistl! But any sane person will take their custom elsewhere! I bought a book on eBay, from a reputable retailer. The shippy was noted as "Other Courier", and the tracking number they gave was for Yodel. Days passed, and the Yodel tracking showed they'd not received the parcel. So on a hunch, I used a tracking app which collates lots of different delivery companies...and what do you know, that tracking number also came up on Whistl's tracking! From the Whistl info, they (ie Whistl) had recieved the parcel, but had never passed it on to Yodel (in case you're unfamiliar with these chancers, Whistl are at pains to let people know they aren't a delivery company; they pass parcels to couriers and Royal Mail for the final delivery, and seem to exist only to cause delays and lose parcels). I spoke with Whistl's "Customer Service" and was told they would need to know the tracking number AND what was in the parcel, AND what the parcel looked like. But not only that, they would only look for the parcel if this information was provided by the sender! What does this tell us? Well, firstly Whistl clearly aren't able to track/locate parcels within their own facities using the tracking numbers, so they have to ask for a description of the package, too. Secondly, if they're asking what's in a missing parcel, they clearly think it's likely that parcels are being opened. That's...really creepy, to be honest. This was just a book and I couldn't care less who sees it, but imagine if it had been something personal or some sensitive information?! In the end, I gave it a few more days to see if the parcel turned up (mostly as a courtesy to the retailer). Of course, it didn't, and the tracking never changed. I contacted the retailer, who refunded me immediately (which makes me think this isn't the first time Whistl have let them down). But the whole thing was a massive waste of my time, and tied up my money for no good reason. Companies like Whistl are really just parasites, sucking money out of the retail and delivery trades, while providing nothing of value in return. The sooner retailers see them for the failures and liabilities they really are, the better!
Ordered two packages of ebay, everything went well until they shipped because now my packages have been stuck on the status “ Handed over to Delivery Carrier (WHISTL BEDFORD - 850” for a month now. These are some valuable items that are hard to get and now they are just stuck. I also find it annoying that you cannot contact the company about any questions of your package making it hard or near impossible to know what your actual status is.
Absolutely shocking. My item was sent out 4 weeks ago, tracking non existent, no updates, stay well away from this company, who knows where items end up, if anything like Hermes, think we all know. A disgrace.
This delivery service is shocking bad! Worse than hermes! I had ordered something from freeprints, which they had sent out, for whistl to then hand over to royal mail with no information whatsoever! Contacted freeprints who send out another one, to which whistl do the same! The tracking information stops at being handed over to royal mail, can't at royal mail but they haven't got any information at all for the parcel from whistl. I have been waiting weeks for the first one to arrive and then onto of that another 2 weeks for the whatvwa supposed to be a new one! I will have to go to freeprints again and this time ask to cancel and refund so I can order from elsewhere! Super bad service! (This is me being polite and no foul language) I will not be using them or any business that uses them!
Whistl delivered an A4 book by bending it in half to wedge it into a letter pigeon hole, damaging it irreparably and ignoring the clearly signposted parcel drop-off 1 m away. While an impressive display of strength, that is not what I want from a delivery company.
Absolutely shocking service. . . The company I purchased clearly stated that the item will be delivered no later than 11th August and its the 13th now. . . I have checked the tracking number and it says its been in transit for 3 days now!!!!!!!!! It take less time to drive from Manchester to France!!!!!! . . .this company who is delivering is a joke and its clear they don't care!!!! . . There is no excuse for this and you can't use covid as a bloody excuse anymore!!!!!! This parcel is a present which I'm suppose to be taking with me for someone as I'm travelling tomorrow!!!!! Its clear I'm not getting it. . . . . WHAT A BUNCH OF COWBOY MONGS!!!!!!!! . . . .
Dreadful service. I live in a tower block and the courier struggled to gain access it seems. His solution was to toss the parcel into some bushes in the street outside and walk away. It lay there in clear view for 4 days until the retailer forwarded the couriers delivery report. Lucky it wasn’t noticed and luckily it didn’t rain.

Sep 24,2022I’d give Whistl zero stars if I could but I can’t so I’ve had to give it 1 star which it doesn’t deserve. Took a week to deliver my goods from Elixir which were then left outside an empty house for 2 days in all weather with no notification of either expected or actual delivery. What an absolutely incompetent, rubbish company. I’ve had this kind of treatment before and if I’d known they were going to use Whistl I would never have ordered anything from Elixir in the first place. I certainly won’t again!
