A company has now lost repeat business from me due to the incompetence of a Whistl delivery driver. I had a very nice lady knock on my door this morning to pass me my overdue order. The problem was however that she was not the delivery driver but someone who found my package on her doorstep a mile away from my house. Her address has no similarities to mine and not even the same door number. I could accept maybe getting confused and delivering to a different house in my own close but to go to a completely different street and door number reeks of complete stupidity or laziness.
Bought from a company online, who used Whistl to deliver, who in turn used Hermes. Delivery was dishonest and unprofessional. Firstly, item was delivered to the wrong address, where no-one was in to receive it. Secondly, the "signed for" package was left on the doorstep, with no signature obtained. A 'Missed Delivery' note was posted through the letterbox, stating package was on the doorstep, but no other details (e.g. courier's name, date, time, etc) were filled in. Thirdly and most concerningly, the courier then faked my signature on a 'Proof of Delivery' slip, claiming my parcel had been "delivered and signed for" by me. Not true - I was away on holiday at the time! Fortunately, the abandoned package was eventually found on my doorstep by a friend, otherwise who knows what would have happened to it. I have proof of all the above. When I contacted Whistl, they were as helpful as a chocolate teapot. No phone number or email available - you have to use chat. Not very helpful if you need to contact them whilst you're at work! First respondent closed conversation before it was completed, as I took more than about a minute to respond - after waiting about 10 mins for her to "get back to me in a couple of mins". Second respondent was happy to take my details, but refused to give me any info in return. Her excuse was I didn't have a Whistl account (why would I? - I didn't choose to use Whistl), and would have to speak to the account holder (i.e. the company I purchased the item from). So I did that, and they raised an investigation with Whistl, who have yet to respond over three weeks later. If Whistl would like to contact me, I would welcome their answers.
Compared to other couriers that we have had the experience to encounter, Whistl's online tracking facility is poor. It does not have sufficient information and is not accurate in reflecting the status of where the delivery is. For example, Delivery History says out for delivery but Delivery Status still says In Transit. It took a (at least) 2-3 days from the time the item was handed over to the Delivery Carrier (by the seller), to the item actually being delivered. Please improve.
This company are absolutely useless. They sent me an email last Tuesday informing me that they would be delivering an item that day. It didn't arrive! Their tracking system told me that it would be delivered on each of the 3 subsequent days - and it wasn't. I even phoned the supplier on the 3rd and 4th day to chase the delivery, and Whistl told them that the delivery would be made that day on both occasions. Today the tracking system shows nothing. Needless to say I have contacted the supplier requesting that they refund me the money I paid to them for the item. I wonder how many others Whistl let down in a similar way, costing the companies who use them turnover, and letting down people like me. Companies who use them must be mad to do so in the first place.
Good company, people wrote bad review based on one wrong transaction but they forget to write good review for 99 good transaction. We love to work with Whistl.
Lost the shipment. Said they'd tried to deliver which was a blatant lie. Poor response. Avoid like the plague
Shockingly bad.... This company are an absolute joke. Please see excerpts from transcript below from an online chat - you can't call them of course - that I had with one of their 'helpdesk' people. Bottom line - they refused to tell me where their courier was who had disappeared with my parcel, refused to contact the local depot to find out what had happened to the parcel and refused to tell me when I could expect my parcel. Then had the audacity to tell me that I couldn't complain as i wasn't their account holder! But I can, and did, send the reviews on here to the company that were using them and I can use social media to warn others. So, Whistl - you can stick that in your pipe and... Whistl! 29/06. 16.55: My delivery has not arrived. The sender does not know where it is and can't help. Your courier apparently missed a connection 2 days ago. Even so, he should have delivered the next day (28th June).The sender is 3 days outside of their promised delivery timeframe and no one knows where your courier is. They are blaming Whistl. Totally unsatisfactory and I'm left in the lurch. Where is my delivery? Whistl, 16.57: Can you confirm if you are the Whistl account holder? 16.58: Well, I am the customer of the company sending the parcel. I don't understand what you mean by Whistl account holder. The sender is Sprayster.com Whistl, 16.58: Okay,as you're not the Whistl account holder, I can only provide tracking information unfortunately. This went out for delivery on Wednesday but this wasn't successful. It should be reattempt. 16.59: Yes, but when?! It's been 3 days now. Whistl: 16:59: I am not sure, but I cannot contact the depot on your behalf as you're not the account holder. 16:59: Well, please contact the account holder. This is ridiculous. The account holder won' t help and you as the courier won't help. What sort of service is that? Whistl: 17:00: Unfortunately you will need to speak to the retailer about this. 17:01: As mentioned, I have already contacted them. Please send me a transcript of this message as I wish to formally complain to both companies. Whistl. 17:01: Unfortunately you cannot make an official complaint as you are not the account holder. 17:02: What sort of service is it that you are providing when you fail to deliver for an account holder and then fail to rectify the situation?. By the way, I can complain to anyone I wish to. You can't tell me that I can't. How incredibly arrogrant. I can also plaster Whistl all over the internet about this situation. So well done, your customer service (lack of) and indifferent attitude is going to be plastered all over social media. Whistl, 17:05: To do anything but provide you with tracking information breaches the Data Protection set out in our service conditions. Whilst you can issue a complaint to other avenues, you cannot do so through us as we only take complaints from account holders unfortunately. 17:08: This is nothing to do with Data Protection. All I have asked you to do is to track down your own courier and find out what has happened to my parcel which you have refused to do. I have not asked for any data. In fact, it is my data,, information and order which is more at risk. Whistl, 17:08: You are asking me to contact the depot on your behalf, as explained above this cannot be done on your behalf. Is there anything else I can help you with?
I posted the following on Friday. Did Whistl even bother replying? No, Sums them up really.... We had a delivery from Whistl today, the driver managed to take out a large post that had been cemented into the ground and then just drove off, he would have been fully aware of what he did. Looking forward to hearing what you are going to do about it WHISTL
Driver committed fraud and theft and company doesn't care. Driver said I wasn't home on the tracking and then right after says it was delivered to me. He/she then tried to sign my name and said it was me on the tracking. I was working a 13 hour shift at the hospital at the time! I will involve the police in this. Item was irreplaceable and I've been waiting for 7 months from the time I ordered it.
Absolutely bogus company to deal with. Beware they are just cheats
missing parcel, £6 pound next day delivery to! i am not happy as this parcel was not cheap and ordered on next day for a reason i am now £21 pound out of pocket and no item. i wonder if it will even show up?? i must say i am extremely disappointed

Parcel 2 days late so far, out for delivery then.. ...nothing. All this after paying £4.99 for next day delivery. Wonder if it will ever show up? They handed it over to Hermes apparently, which doesn't fill me with any confidence whatsoever, they're the worst!!!
Utterly incompetent. Inaccurate tracking information, no control over their delivery chain, systematically inept, lost parcel just before Christmas resulting in no present for my father, refused to rectify the fault, refuse to engage with you as the customer (their customer is the seller - who obviously is paid by you!), refused to contact the delivery agent and refused to advise on their complaints procedure. Essentially seem to be a reseller for myHermes which I know (and other Trustpilot users agree) is one to avoid when ordering online - possibly this is simple a sham as other users refuse to use myHermes. Notably their website suggests they use Royal Mail for final delivery - a bit rich given they lodged a complaint against Royal Mail with OffCom! Would give no stars if I could. How do they have "two stars" despite every review giving only one?
Crap crap crap as far as I can see. I ordered two books from D C Thomson a renowned magazine and book company. They put the order out to Whistl and as far as I can see no attempt was made to deliver the parcel. I rang D C Thomson and they put another pack out for next day delivery. Still no attempt made to deliver in time for Christmas. If it is not there by tomorrow I am claiming a refund from my credit card and taking this up with trading standards as well as the boss of D C Thomson. 9369078920425886 is the order/delivery number if anybody is there to care. My 85 year old aunt would like her gift for Christmas.
Tracking shows it's been received several times by courier, said they tried to deliver, yet no evidence of any attempt. Now, it seems having found this page, we've now just checked myHermes and it seems THEY'RE the courier and NOT Whistl! We EVEN phoned Whistl, and they said nothing about myHermes even after we said it looks like its being past to different vans. #CantOrganiseAPissUpInABrewery
Whistl act as a middle man between the sender and the courier. When there is a problem with the delivery, they say its not there problem. I asked for the couriers details and they just kept saying to contact the sender. Shocking service.
Unbelievably bad, a catalogue of errors from start to finish. All attempts to the problems with whistl failed. My advice is to contact your vendor immediately you get a problem and ask them to re-send the item Fed-ex, This is what finally resolved it for us 10 days later

Dec 08,2018wow this company is dreadful! They are basically deceitful. The tracking info for my order claims that someone has made two attempts to delivery. It also claims that I rearranged a time for delivery. All of this is nonsense. I tried the online chat facility, which is a joke. Someone came on the line and then just disappeared. How long can such an awful and useless company like this stay in business?
