AVOID AT ALL COST- Having the same issues as a lot of people here. Ordered on the 23rd, seller says dispatched on the 24th. Was meant to be the 27th, then the 28th by 10pm. This time arrived and on amazon it now said on its way but running late. Whistl has only ever said package details created. Nothing else. Phone line which itself says they'll answer on a Saturday before 2pm doesn't pick up. Very poor. Will avoid like the plague in future
10 days to deliver plants from Thompson & Morgan. Dead plants. Tracking utterly useless. Have complained to T&M who are presumably losing business hand over fist and should move to a different carrier.

I am still awaiting my delivery today the 27th May2021 They have done almost nothing in terms of progress. What is that?????????????? You cannot expedite your delivery as there are no facilities on Whistl website to do this. You are told to contact the sender to expedite your delivery. Appalling. As with others I ordered plants. Shipped 8 days ago and only just been handed to Royal Mail. This business is a complete waste of time. The plants will be dead thanks to the incompetence shown here. Why offer a delivery service if the only service you provide is to make it take 3-4 times longer than any other delivery company before handing the parcel to them to deliver anyway? Ordering products when whistl is a part of the process is clearly a waste of time. Will check it’s not whistl before ordering in future as judging from the other reviews its not rare, rather the standard whistl service.
Only giving a 1 star cos had to pick a star. OMG where do I start.. got tracking number checked it and stated address query.. even though it is right, same happened day after and day after.. contacted who bought item off and they had checked all details and sent them a message that address was right and to deliver... what a terrible service. Still waiting nearly a week on for my dad's order . Absolutely shocking ..
Parcel due to be delivered before 20/05/21, says shipment created 17/05 but no further details. It’s now 26/05 and no sign of parcel even being dispatched or in transit yet. AVOID. Tracking number update - JD0002210476597464
Plants ordered from Crocus UK and despatched by them, now 7 days ago, and still not received. According to Whistl's "Track my Parcel the plants are still "in transit" What use will these plants be now - if ever they should arrive. Appalled that Crocus with a good reputation has used such an incompetent company for my delivery. It can only damage their own rating.
In my part of the world there is a phrase ’you can whistle for it’ which means ‘you ain’t going to get it’, so Whistl seems to be an odd name for a delivery company to choose, but it is very apt. On their website Whistl (formerly TNT) claim to be in competition with Royal Mail and other carriers. In fact, they appear to be no more than an intermediary company who just hand your package on to one of these ‘competitors’. Be warned! The 3-5 day handling time quoted appears to relate only to their part of the process - which adds several days to the overall delivery time and makes the tracking number worthless. Why do businesses not just go straight to Royal Mail, Hermes, Yodel etc? Who knows? I try to avoid those who say they use Whistl, but often it’s only after dispatch that you find out and have to settle in for a long, long wait.
Tell me why "puffco" a US company, is using a service so laughable like whistl? This is a UK based tracking system from what I take. All I know is my package was being "sent" on the 5th and it is currently the 20th, when I had "3-5" day shipping... it says the package arrived at a facility in my hometown on the 12th... they keep pushing the "estimated delivery" every. Single. Fuucking. Day. What a horrible and useless service!!! Doubt my package will every arrive! Keep up the bad reviews and get the BBB to take a look at this shittty company. If 1.8 stars doesn't speak for itself idk what does!
Is this some kind of a joke company? They held my parcel for four days and then handed over to Royal Mail. What an abysmal way to run a business. Not a snowball's chance in hell I would ever deal with anyone who utilises their "services" again.
Whistl told me they had delivered my parcel to my door and left the item in the porch. I checked and it was not there, I thought perhaps it had been stolen, several hours later it was delivered by Hermes? Avoid these First Class Clowns!
I am also a victim of the handing on. This time from Whistl to Hermes. Still waiting for a delivery sent 10 days ago. If possible in future I will ask companies who they use for delivery and avoid Whistl and Hermes. No customer care whatsoever. I suspect much of the problem is down to their employment policies, low pay. zero hours, agency staff etc. Whistl response took 3 days. Says it all.
The company Whistl is a joke. I also ordered plants which Whistl held for eight days before handing the order to Royal Mail for delivery. Good customer service is non existent
I am very impressed wi the service o Whistl (Scotland) which is aye o the heichtmaist quality. We anely post oot twae times annual, yet we cuidnae be better luikit after gin we employed thay'r service ilka day.
Would you believe it? Took 6 days for Whistl to hand over to "The Post Office". Why would anyone use Whistl?
Not sure if it is an area thing, but I have to say that the two deliveries of plants I have had so far have been great. Advised of delivery in advance,plants sensitively handled and cheerful delivery team
Second time Sutton’s have used Whistl to dispatch plants to me and yet again I’m left clinging to some false hope that they might be delivered. Are Whistl run by some OCG that take orders and then sell them out the back door I wonder! Currently unable to find my shipment using the tracking number. I would strongly advise against any company using Whistl because you will lose business
Relates to Whistl & Thompsons and Morgan, new plant with Whistl then passed to Hermes, didnt fare well after 5 days drying out and being shunted around. Why does courier pass to another?? Ask Thompsons if this is normal, won't be using again.
I read numerous reviews before writing this after noting just how many bad reviews Whistl had received. I saw that some good reviews had ‘invited’ written at the side, does this mean it was necessary to ask for them? Whatever, I found my problems were shared by others and after my third disappointing delivery of plants I will not be buying in future from any company that uses Whistl for delivery and will be sharing my experience with fellow gardeners.

I have a ton of chat transcripts... every single time the same line: "Please ask the seller to contact us." Why, the f..., don't you give ME the information about the package? Because it's easier to, just, skip customers... right? That's why you have the rating that you have. I'd give you a -1 and close your business, to be honest... Actually... I think that there's a Chamber of Comerce in UK that can deal with some complaints regarding your company's attitude. I can't wait to see what you're saying now about the tracking number and why the guys talking on the chat from your site are so incompetent and unwilling to help. ---------- Total crap. Worst "courier" and customer support attitude. There's no update for 2 weeks on the tracking number. I asked them about it and they said the seller needs to contact them about the package. I contacted the seller only to get the popular Indian / Chinese customer support line: "Rest assured, my friend. Your package will arrive" like they don't even read what I write... AVOID IT!
